This vacation was planned about 1 year in advance and the host was always quick to respond with all the questions I had along the way. We had a large family and needed to ensure sleeping would be adequate so lots of questions about the layout, etc. When we arrived, we were greeted with homemade cookies, homemade jam, a nice chocolate cake, and all the fixings for s'mores. Such a nice treat. The place was beautiful and we loved the fenced in yard so the little ones couldn't go directly into the lake. That was a good safety feature. We have been renting VRBO for over 15 years, and this was probably the cleanest place we have stayed. Unfortunately, we had to cut short our stay. Again the hosts were very understanding. I would highly recommend this property and this host for a big family or group of friends.

Karleen is outstanding. Decorated for my daughter!s and my birthday to include a yummy cake and homemade cookies. Felt like we were staying with a loving family member not a rental. She even mailed an expensive ball cap home to my daughter, in Louisiana - voluntarily. Can’t wait to go back!!!

As a family, we rent a lake home every memorial day. We have stayed at many lake houses and this house was the best we've stayed at by far! At just an hour and a half away from Dallas it is far enough from the city to relax but not so far you spend all your vacation time on the road. We had 14 people staying in the house (9 adults, 5 kids, & 2 dogs) and the house felt spacious enough to hold all of us comfortably with room to spare. The house had EVERYTHING you could need (Karleen has thought of everything) and was the best stocked house ive ever stayed in! Did not need to bring anything but ourselves and food. She even baked cookies and candied popcorn for us! SO SWEET OF HER! THE KIDDOS LOVED THE SWEETS! 😋 The house was super cute and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the kids loved the bunk room! The views from the house and patio were beautiful! The yard is gated so it was perfect for the kids and dogs to play without being worried about them getting too close to the water. The dock was great! We were able to fish the whole time and swim as much as our hearts desired. We qill definitely be back! On another note I think Karleen is one of the sweetest people ive never met. 🙂 She was very accomidating, friendly, and very responsive when we had any questions. Do yourself a favor and stay here! You wont regret it!!!

What a lovely property and hosts. Upon entering we were greeted with fresh flowers, cookies, all the fixings for s’mores and plenty of firewood! Layout and set up of this lake house is lovely and we enjoyed our stay. Would recommend

Beautiful house, plenty of room for big families. Great communication with host. Caught plenty of catfish off the dock. Fresh baked cookies from the host were delicious! We would definitely rent again.

The property was as advertised and more; the unit was fully stacked with towels, toiletries, dishes, cooking utensils and ingredients...the best we have experienced in our many other stays over the years. A surprise were the decorations, beverages and homemade desserts for our birthday celebration. This was a beautiful place to stay. Although we only had three couples, it would be great for larger groups or families with kids, with beds galore. The host Karleen was very thoughtful, asking if we were celebrating anything in particular, and I told her it was my fiance's birthday. We arrived to birthday decorations (alongside seasonal fall decorations) as well as a birthday card, cake, homemade cookies, a bottle of champagne and orange juice. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and cooking utensils, something that can often be lacking in vacation rentals. We had great meals both inside and on the large back porch overlooking the lake. Overall, my only complaint is that we didn't stay longer! But that's our fault. Highly recommend, thanks Karleen!

Awesome place on the lake! The house was so clean and the fenced yard was perfect for our dogs. The ski lift made it so convenient to keep our jet skis on property for easy access. The view of the sunsets each evening was beautiful and the fishing off the dock was amazing. Karleen and Jon were great hosts, they thought of everything, we couldn’t have enjoyed our stay any more. Awesome time spent with the family! Highly recommend.

We had a group of 11, 6 adults and 5 kids ages 3 to 17. The house easily accommodated all of us. It was super clean and the hosts were extremely hospitable. The back porch was incredible and had it not been over 100 degrees everyday we would’ve spent a lot more time there. Their dock is in a deep part of the lake, which is good, because even with the lake being low we were able to use it. This is our third summer on Cedar Creek Lake and this location and house were by far the best.

I’ll start off by saying that Karleen and Jon define the true meaning of “Super Host”. They had us prepared for our getaway months before check-in. When check- in day finally came, we were not disappointed. The house was clean and perfectly stocked. You honestly only need food and clothes for the trip; everything else is graciously provided. Karleen was so awesome to satisfy our sweet tooth as soon as we walked in with freshly baked goodies and s’mores set-up. We brought 10 guests (7 adults) and we all had plenty of space. The back porch is perfect for morning coffee or beautiful evening sunsets. The boat dock is great! After taking our boat for morning fishing trips, we played in the water right off the dock the remainder of the day. We can’t thank Karleen and Jon enough for their fantastic home and amazing service. Everything about this trip was something to remember!

From the very start I could tell this would be an amazing stay! The owners are so responsive and you could tell they really care about their renters and the time they will have in their home. Karleen left out cookies, a birthday cake, and champagne for the future bride and groom. The house was perfect for the group with everyone having a place to sleep at night. Best part of the whole house is the back porch/yard/dock we spent almost our entire time outside and had a blast! We would 10/10 recommend this place to stay for any gathering and will be looking to book again in the future!

The hosts were over the top with everything within their control. The cookies and other unexpected 'goodies' were great. Contact with the owner was easy and they provided timely responses. We had a great time with no issues.

Good location. Clear and prompt communication. Amazing weekend getaway place. Just a note there is a bridge right in front of the property and you can hear the traffic during the night.

Took the family to the lake for spring break vacation and to do some fishing. The view was awesome and the whole family was able to catch fish in the morning and at night! The owners were very sweet and had treats for us upon arrival! They check-in on us periodically. Mrs. and Mr. Henry were great and they were very comical as well! Hope you enjoyed the pecan pies we left for you and we definitely owe you a boat ride as well! We all look forward to seeing you again in the spring time and summer time!

Our stay began with delicious hors d'oeuvres waiting for us, individually wrapped treats for the kids and smores ready to roast over a firepit. The view was spectcular with a large back porch and plenty of comfortable rocking chairs. The home was impeccably clean and very well furnished with anything that you possibly would want for your stay.

Communication was great with host, place was spotless clean, tons of space inside the house, an amazing back porch facing the lake, a great size back yard for outdoor activities with the kids, and the best part for us, the boat and sky deck with motorized lifts made it a breeze to access the boat for rides. Over all it was a perfect stay. We are booking again soon.

The house is beautiful and roomy. The deck and dock were perfect. Spent lots of time swimming and fishing—caught white bass, crappie, and catfish. Our group included a 10-month-old to an 86-yr-old. All had a great time.
