This is the first time in 10+ years of using booking.com I’ve ever had to leave a negative review. The room itself is pleasant enough, and is probably totally fine if you are staying here as a single occupant and using the room only to sleep. If you are a couple or a family, just be aware that the house itself is a fairly small new build terraced house, and unfortunately the walls are apparently very thin and the owner (Maria) seemingly very sensitive to any noise. My partner and I were talking in bed before going to sleep (no music, no tv) and suddenly there was loud banging on the bedroom door and we were told in no uncertain terms to be quiet. It made for a very uncomfortable stay and we couldn’t wait to leave. Other minor issues were that the room smelled of smoke as the owners were having a BBQ (very small garden so basically below the open bedroom window), the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly and the water pressure in the shower is inadequate. Also be aware it’s not two tickets to Kew Gardens as stated, it’s just use of the owner’s membership card, so depends if you’re comfortable with that.
