We loved Dogwood Cottage and cannot wait to go back! Of all the rentals we've had in and around Highlands, this one was our favorite! It was perfect for four people and had plenty of indoor and outdoor space to enjoy.

The cabin was a perfect spot for many hikes around Highlands and Cashiers. It was beautifully decorated, incredibly clean and perfectly appointed. They thought of everything and welcomed our little frenchie! We will definitely be back. I can’t recommend this cabin enough, it’s perfect!

Our stay at this cabin was very comfortable, we loved the location near town and it was decorated very cute.
It took a few times figuring out the entry pad, but after that it was fine.
We were able to check in early which worked out well for our schedule.
Would highly recommend this cabin!

Enjoyed our stay! The house was lovely, very clean and in a great location. Check-in process was smooth. We loved sitting by the fire each night after dinner out. Highly recommend. We will be back.

What a lovely cottage! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is decorated beautifully and reflects the vibe of Highlands. Chris and Joy really thought of everything when furnishing and stocking this fabulous home. Our visit was a rainy one so we stayed in relaxed and read in front of a warm fire. Delightful! We hope to return and enjoy the wonderful outdoor porches and fireplace!

We were visiting from NC and Tennessee with BFFS +40 years of friendship. We dined in wonderful restaurants, hiked, watched lots of men’s NCAA basketball , and cooked in the well appointed kitchen. We especially enjoyed to outdoor fireplace with TV.

This property is amazing! It's so cozy and VERY clean, beautifully decorated and you can tell so much time is placed into all of the details to assure a comfortable stay. The location is great - just a short drive to town where we enjoyed browsing the shops. We also enjoyed hiking and ziplining nearby. My husband enjoyed the outdoor space where he enjoyed relaxing watching sports on the outdoor tv by a fire. We will definitely be back to visit again!

We loved everything about your cottage. It was aesthetically designed & decorated beautifully. Very clean and comfortable. You put a lot of thought into making your guest feel welcome and it shows! We truly felt at home and that’s unusual in the rental business. Highly recommend Dogwood Cottage. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Perfect location! Close to Main Street, trails , the art center. The neighborhood is perfect for walking . This cottage is very clean and the owners have thought of everything you may need while staying. Beautifully decorated and the front and back porches were so enjoyable! Thank you for everything!

Can’t say enough about how great this property is. Front and back outdoor areas are awesome for hanging out and the home itself is updated and appointed to a tee. The entire house is stocked with everything you can possibly think of and the few questions we had were answered promptly. Will try and book this house every time we return!!

This is a super cute cottage! Very clean and kitchen was well stocked. Comfortable beds and the back porch with fireplace and TV was incredible. Very short drive to downtown. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it. The hosts were great!

House was perfect, my two sons literally said “wow!” about so many features when we first arrived. We especially enjoyed the outdoor living room and made s’mores every night. The kitchen had everything we could need and the location was great for exploring local trails and waterfalls.

Interior and exterior amenities in this cozy cottage were perfect for my husband, son, and I to feel relaxed after each daylong adventure. The owners thought of every detail one may need or want in the mountains. Outdoor space was very comfortable and ideal for our teenage son to hangout. Bringing our family dog was an added bonus for family memories, as well. Highly recommend this cottage for those who appreciate interior design; one or two couples or single-child family fits nicely.

This property is a wonderful retreat in the heart of Highlands. We’ve stayed in a lot of vacation rentals and really appreciate how well-appointed this home was. The kitchen has everything you need, including a well-stocked pantry of essentials. The outdoor areas shine — we loved the covered porches and cozy fireplace. For those with dogs, this is a welcome change from sub-par listings; it is so rare to find pet-friendly options as nice as this. They are clearly dog lovers with thoughtful touches for your own pets available. Linens were quality/comfortable and plenty of extra blankets and pillows. Outstanding decor and overall, a place we would not hesitate to return to. Communications with owners was A+. Thank you!

This is our 2nd time at this adorable cottage and once again everything was perfect for a few days of rest and relaxation. They have gone over the top with details. We even commented how even the tissues were extra soft. Decorated to perfection, the beds are cozy, linens extra soft and fresh. The kitchen is very well stocked and they thought of every detail. Our favorite spot is on the back porch with a fire. The location is perfect. Close to town yet a quiet nice walking neighborhood that you feel like your in your own little retreat. The owners are so accommodating. We will most definitely be back!

We were so impressed by the detail that went into making this home such a perfect getaway for our family vacation. The house is so well appointed, decorated, clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. I loved the double fireplaces, the thoughtfully curated seating arrangements and design and the “extras” that were so well organized and easy to find. It truly felt like we were at our home away from home. Many nights we cancelled reservations and opted to stay in and grill on the patio family meal style! It was a refreshing and comfortable stay! Thanks to the wonderful hosts. 😊

The best VRBO I have stayed in. Wonderful. So close to Main Street. The fireplace both outside and inside were so easy to use. There was nothing that the home did not have. The attention to details was fantastic. I will stay here again as we love Highlands.

The perfect anniversary get away for my wife and I and another couple of dear friends we’ve known 25+ years. Loved the light, bright, tastefully furnished cute and cozy home away from home. Enjoyed wine and conversation by the fireside on the rear covered porch, breakfast on the front porch, and games in the comfy living room. The well appointed kitchen was supplied with everything we needed. Bedrooms were private, on different sides of the home, each with private baths. Parking was ample and easy for 2-3 vehicles. Loved the adventure of around a 2 mile walk to town by mirror lake, back streets, and a wooded trail. A clean and quiet, well maintained home in a peaceful and friendly neighborhood.

Amongst the beautiful mountains of highlands we found this wonderful cottage filled with all you could need to enjoy a mountain vacation!! Had everything you would need to feel at home and close to great dining and peaceful evenings!! Also owners are available if you are in need!! Highly recommend!!!

Just a couple of suggestions. The dishwasher never worked and we had to hand wash everything. We cooked in one evening and breakfast 2 mornings. Very inconvenient.
We also enjoy playing games at the dining table and it is too dark to see well.
The cabin itself is very nice and comfortable.

The cabin was well stocked and decorated well. We thought the beds and chairs were comfy. The owners thought of everything you might need or even want while staying in their charming cabin. The cabin is located about two miles from town center so very convenient. There is a book full of all the walking trails with details as well as other thing to do in the area. We hope to be back soon!

Staying at beautifully decorated Dogwood Cottage completed our festival weekend getaway! As others have said before, Chris and Joy thought of every detail necessary to make the visit a wonderful and relaxing experience. We enjoyed inside and outside fires while watching SEC football, playing games, walks into town and excellent food, wine & music. We will be back!

The hosts have done a remarkable job in providing everything you could possibly need making this cottage the most perfect place we have ever rented in about 20 years of renting cottages. They have provided every comfort you can possibly imagine. Beds are comfy, linens great, kitchen has all you need. Wonderful & very clean 5 burner gas grill on front deck with table & chairs for dining outside, fabulous sofa & loveseat on back porch with fireplace. It just goes on & on. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time in this sweet, well appointed cottage. My teenage girls said it was the best family vacation they can remember. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. The best part was the front and back porches. We spent the majority of our time hanging out there.

Everything was outstanding!! Spotless and they thought of EVERYTHING! Up to date clean and they had all the little extras. We relaxed most of the time by the fireplace outside which was well stocked with firewood. The kitchen had everything we needed from fine bar ware (and they even had frozen martini glasses ready to go in the freezer) to cookware and Uten. iPhone chargers by the beds and the linens were so cozy and clean! It was a dream and we can’t wait to go again. Perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood right off the main walking area. Just a few minutes drive from downtown. Thank you for all your thoughtful extras and perfectly decorated home!

House is gorgeous and the outside fireplace area was amazing. We stayed out there every minute that we weren’t sleeping! So much so that it was our friend’s 50th birthday and we definitely had music playing far too loud than what we should have. Our host was very understanding and kind in asking us to keep it down.
