Another great family trip to Pawleys Island, we rented laughing place because of prior rentals many years ago. The property is still the same great place just needs a few updates we had a few electrical issues during our stay. The management company was very responsive. We had a blast!

Some of the bath doors did not close and should be sanded down to do so.
We have been coming to Pawleys Island for quite some time and are used to sand, however, the sand upon arrival had not been cleaned very well both inside and out on the entry steps.
The dishwasher did not work and it appeared had not been unusable for some time as there was a partial gallon of Dawn on the sink counter for handwashing dishes.
In the King bed suite, the area rugs had rips in them and could be a tripping hazard.
On the positive, the kids enjoyed fishing from the creek dock.

We have a large family with kids and grandkids and lots of stuff, so the four bedroom main house + 2 bedroom suite plus + 1 bedroom suite allowed for plenty of privacy and quiet when exhausted grandchildren needed naps and grownups wanted to sleep later.

Having the beach / sunrise on the back and the fishing creek / covered dock / sunset on the front is perfect for grownups and children alike. The home was spacious with plenty of seating areas both inside and out, including an amazing 360 degree view widows walk on the roof. The dinner table was perfect because it seated the whole ChamFam comfortably. Also my kids loved washing the grandkids in the outdoor shower under the house after beach time.

Suzanne and her team described this place extremely well and by no stretch of the imagination did it disappoint in any way. We definitely plan to come back.

The location is just what we looked for with both ocean access and a dock for fishing, crabbing and sunset drinks - screened porches on both sides of the house. We thoroughly enjoyed staying and would highly recommend it.

The only recommendation we would offer is additional pots and pans, measuring cups and spoons and cooking utensils would be helpful if you are only renting the main house. If you are renting the total property you can raid the other kitchens.

Overall, we loved the house and the location and would consider returning in the future. The beach is beautiful and the covered creed-side dock is perfect for fishing or just hanging out. The interior of the house is somewhat dated, but that is not unexpected at Pawleys Island. The house is essentially 3 distinct apartments, and that configuration for us was ideal as we enjoy being together but also appreciate having the option of private space. Our main issue was that the property was under construction while we were there. When we initially arrived, the crows nest was closed due to structural issues, though within 3 days the issue had been remediated and we were able to go up there (though there were still nails and other debris). Also, the house was in the middle of being painted and the painters (though exceptionally friendly and courteous) were onsite by 7 am each morning and actively walking around on the stairs and porch areas. None of these things were show stoppers for us, though since we had other options, we would have appreciated a heads-up from the management office before we booked the vacation.

Great location on the south end of island. Loved that we could walk to the point. Main house and two apartments meant there was space to spread out and that there were plenty of nooks for reading, napping, etc. Roof deck is so nice. Owner responded quickly during our stay.

This is our 6th year at the Laughin' Place and we will continue to rent it as long as possible. We have 4 families and there is so much room to either be all together or little spaces if you want some quiet alone time. The upgrades are great and we enjoyed the coffee/wet bar and extra ice machine. Only wish the dock were completed, I understand that is in the works, but since so many docks were damaged in the storm, it is hard to find a good contractor. We love Laughin' Place and literally count down the days until we return.

A well maintained, welcoming ;house. Love coming back it's like coming home. Our kids and grandkids have grown up here Now we just need to have some greats.

Our third year and it’s better every time. Perfect for our large group ages 5-65+. Perfect beach and creek location. Owners are very considerate and responsive.

We loved our week at Laughin Place on Pawleys Island. Laughin Place is the perfect place for our extended "family." The addition of the farm table and benches and the beverage bar were wonderful. Any concerns that we have had have been handled promptly. We look forward to returning again!

We picked this house out because of the name "Laugin Place". Then we saw the rooftop deck, and considered it a bonus. We had family and friends from as far north as Conn and south Florida. We were not disappointed. The memories that were made in this beautiful, family friendly home stood true to the name. The house was clean, comfy and spacious. The separate suites gave us the privacy we needed. The views were spectacular. Clean linens and spacious family areas were another bonus. Now we are planning a week next year, to celebrate our 1 year anniversary, with the same family and friends joining us. Thank you Ray Jean for the use of our beautiful home.

We've visited Laughin' Place many times and it's a great place for a Pawleys family vacation. There's plenty of room, but the two separate apartments give some privacy for those times when the kids get too noisy. Unlike Pawleys homes in the middle and north of the island, which are often well back from the beach, Laughin' place is right on the water. At high tide, you can look directly down from the deck into the ocean, which makes it as if you're on a cruise ship. Highly recommended!

Perfect for large families.

Our family and my brother's just spent our beach week for the second year at Laughin Place and recommend it very highly. The Owners are responsive, professional and friendly. The location, beachfront and creekfront, is superb, and the home is spacious, well furnished and perfect for a large family gathering. A top choice!!
