All was great with the exception of getting skunked outside the front door on our last day. Beware of skunks in the early am!!!

What a cute home and garden! I found the listing was true to the description. The best part is the spectacular views of Bodega Bay! The backyard was a perfect hideaway to BBQ and hangout with our two dogs and two grandsons. The house is located within a short drive to all the popular beaches. There was a slight learning curve to working the house fans to keep the home cool during the warmer part of the day. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

We loved the house and especially the view and location. If you’re looking for a sleepy seaside town with fantastic views and access to seafood, and beaches this is a great place to visit. The added bonus is that you’re only 40-45 minutes from wine country Sonoma and Napa. The weather is cooler in April but highly recommend since there is less people and traffic.

A bit of challenge to find, the property is sandwiched between two other homes, there is no front entrance, enter the property through a 20 ft gravel walkway towards the backyard, look for a makeshift sign on the sidewalk, some traffic noise during the day, but quiet at night, close to many restaurants and grocery stores.
Amenities 4.9 stars - You will feel right at home, everything is available including fridge, stove, coffee maker, toaster, bbq grille, shampoo, body wash, and even a very loud washer and dryer, however there is no microwave oven
Cleanliness - 5 stars
Dogs are allowed, I didn't notice any dog smell, dog hair or any unpleasant surprises. Very pet friendly, my pup loves it there.
Overall 5 stars. We met the owner, super friendly gentleman, he actually has two other properties next to this rental. This cottage went through some recent renovation, three big windows that give you a wonderful view of the ocean.

Amazing views of the bay from the expansive windows. Nicely updated - very open feeling and fixtures & appliances worked well. Kitchen was well appointed for cooking. Short walk to two small markets and some very good restaurants.

Had a great recent 3 day getaway at this property and enjoyed everything about it. The cottage was very CLEAN and had all the amenities. Very modern and very dog friendly! The kitchen was fully stocked, and the structure had great views of the water and love that the place had tons of natural light! great little neighborhood and walking distance to the grocery store which we appreciated. it was very easy to book this place and check in. the batteries on the door keyless entry were low but when i notified vacasa they were very quick to respond and changed it right away, so we had no issues at all. appreciated everything about this place and will consider it again in the near future. thanks for a great stay! no complaints here and would recommend 100% to friends.

This was our second visit and everything was as great as we remembered. The only thing I would change is more comfortable seating for my elderly parents. But we love this cute lil house and location and the view is truly amazing.

You can't beat the view of the bay! Three large windows. Nice bedrooms. No microwave and bring knives, forks etc. Nicely landscaped and fenced yard. Some steps to get into. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

The house was the perfect combination of feeling homey with many personal touches (you can tell somebody put their heart into this) while also feeling nearly brand new and without being cluttered. The recent remodel was stunning.
The kitchen is very well stocked and the living room windows have a fantastic view over the bay.
The location feels very remote and was a bit out of our way but this has both pros and cons. The washer was extremely loud so just think ahead on when you run it.
The mattresses and sofa were on the firmer side but still comfortable enough.

One of our favorite rentals now at the beach. Easy to get to Doran Beach for their leash free park. And, a good kitchen with plenty of room for our food.

Myself, husband, 18mo and our dog recently stayed here for several days. The aesthetic of the home is comfortable and beautiful. The couch is great for lounging and hanging out. The dining chairs felt cheap and not the most comfortable, but the table was beautiful. Glad we read the reviews - we brought our own coffee maker (even though it's a hassle) but it was necessary because like everyone else said, they don't supply one. The toaster oven was easy to use to reheat foods, so a microwave isn't essential :).
The area is quiet and peaceful. It's a perfect location - close walk to everything you'll want and need for adventuring or staying in.

The view was fantastic. It was super clean, did have some ants, but they weren’t a problem. The parking was tight and we were glad we didn’t bring larger SUV. The living room seating is awkward and not very comfortable. But over all it was a great, quiet place that was close to the restaurants and beaches we like. With an amazing view and attention to details to make stay trouble free. Would highly recommend.

This was an ideal spot for our best friends getaway. The interior is beautifully done, both bedrooms were comfortable and had their own full baths and the view was amazing. The fireplace is small, but Duraflame logs work perfectly, we brought some with us. There is a darling sitting area in the backyard with a heat lamp. The area is quiet and very peaceful, even with it being on Hwy 1. The location is ideal, lots of cool hiking spots and beautiful beaches nearby and delicious fresh seafood everywhere. There’s a little store across the street that has anything you may have forgotten. The only thing I’d suggest is a regular working coffee maker. The only thing available was a French press, which isn’t great if you want more than one cup, and there’s no way to reheat since there’s no microwave. Even a Keurig with the reusable pods would work. The garbage disposal didn’t work when we were there, but that was no big deal. Overall it was absolutely perfect!

What a perfect home to escape for a long weekend and reboot from everyday Mom life. The home was equipped with everything you might need… kitchen fully stocked, bathroom soaps, games to play, etc. We loved watching the boats, the birds, the rain. It was so convenient walking to The Bird’s Nest Cafe for coffee and lunch and the surrounding shops. We even walked to Terrapin Creek Restaurant for an amazing meal. The house has beautiful modern gold fixtures but the feel was cozy and warm. And the landscaping was stunning! I can’t wait to return. A total gem.

This is a very comfortable cottage. I liked the open-plan layout of the kitchen/dining/living areas, which made the place feel spacious to me. The property is in excellent shape, and it's clear to me that the owners take pride in it. The location is great, too, within easy walking distance of the little market located in Pelican Plaza. I'll plan to stay at Surfer's Paradise again, the next time I come to Bodega Bay.

Loved everything about the property. The cottage was updated with great appliances, great Bluetooth lamp, wonderful charging station for all your devices, great view. Loved the bedrooms with baths. Unfortunately, when we checked in there was an ant infestation. The people at VASCA were nice but brought us ant stakes which take several days to work. So, we had the last two days without ants during a week stay. I felt they should have had professionals rid the ants in non toxic way.

Loved this house, beautiful and comfy. Watch check in and check out times though. 4 oclock is a bit late and then 10 am check out is a bit early. Then the day before you check out they offer you the ability to check out later, but it costs. Just something to remember.

We loved staying here and it was the perfect location. We’ve never stayed in Bodega Bay before but we would love to come back and rent this cottage. The cottage was very clean and had a lot of natural light. It has a gated backyard to keep the dogs in which is perfect. The weather was in the 70s with no fog so we lucked out!

Very nice! But more attention to older users. An artistic hand rail from gate to front door to aid w/possible slipping on gravel and steps. Shower grab bars, offer shower mats as floors very slick. Should toss chipped dishes. W/D nice. TV confusing for non techies. Coffee pot and microwave a plus.

Only items difficult to deal with were chairs at the table and the couches. Many parts of the house appeared to be nicely remodeled ( kitchen and bathrooms) but the chairs at the table were very uncomfortable. And the couch. TV was very difficult to run. Instructions would have been nice

I tried to get it all in the title - but will add that noise from Hwy 1 wasn't the problem we thought it might be given that this little house is right on the Highway. We weren't there on the weekend though, when traffic is heavier. Very, very clean.
