***Only negative inaccuracy is that the property claims there is a hot tub. There is no hot tub. There is only one small, old fashion style shower/tub combo and then in the master bath there is a remodeled shower only. Not a big deal but the listing needs to be changed. Otherwise, this place is awesome. It is very walkable to Main Street. Even a slow casual walk it’s only 15-20 minutes to get there. Obviously a super short drive if you don’t want to walk. The beds are comfy and the ceiling fans work great. The screened sitting area on the back is perfect for two couples just to chill and chat. We spent several hours out there since the weather was so pleasant. The kitchen coffee setup is nice. French press, nespresso and regular drip coffee all available with beans provided for fresh grinding! Neighborhood is very quiet and in March there are blue bonnets everywhere! Nice big smart tv in living room too. We loved our stay and will definitely stay here again when we come back to Fredericksburg.

Helen's home is well located with a beautiful yard in a quiet neighborhood. Many special touches were provided by the host making our first ever visit to Fredericksburg very special. With very easy parking at all locations we chose to visit I can readily recommend Helen's home for any future renters.

Very enjoyable. Very comfortable surroundings. All amenities (above and beyond expectations) were provided. Will stay here again.

Very nice place, felt at home

The Helen Louise house was perfect for my two daughters, granddaughter, and myself for a 21st birthday celebration. The owner provides snacks, a bottle of wine to welcome you, and ANYTHING else you may need. It is in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood and nicely decorated. Our only downside was the weather was chilly and wet, so therefore, we couldn’t really enjoy the outdoor room and lovely back yard. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this home again. Thank you!

Close to town, cute well kept home with bikes to use ! We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and all that the owner provided including a bottle of wine !

I almost don't want to share my review, I want to keep this hidden treasure a secret! My mom and I have been coming to FBG for 18 years, we have stayed in numerous homes in the area. This is our FAVORITE! The backyard and screened in porch was the star of the show. It was so relaxing to sit out and enjoy the cooler weather, surrounded by birds and beautiful plants, water feature and landscape. The rest of the home was just as enjoyable, the beds are comfortable there are plenty of extra pillows and blankets and everything was clean! There are baskets of toiletries that are often forgotten so there is no last minute panic when someone realizes they forgot their toothbrush. They had snacks, a candy dish, a Nespresso machine and fresh ground coffee to brew as well. We enjoyed the bottle of Becker wine that was there which happens to be my favorite winery in the area. The owner was super easy to communicate with, not that we needed much because they thought of everything. Check in and check out was a breeze, the WIFI worked great too. I hope this home will be available next year and every year after for our annual trip.

My sister and I took my mom to Fredericksburg for a birthday weekend, and we had a wonderful time at the Helen Louise House! It was very clean, fun retro decor, great communication from the owner, a great screened in porch with tons of birds. They even had a snack basket and toiletries and the only clean up we had to do was taking the trash out and putting towels in the tub! Awesome place!!

The Helen Louise House was so cute and the hosts made sure all was provided for a "home away from home." From thoughtful snacks to the little things like bandaids in the restrooms, every possible scenario was carefully thought out. My husband and I met his brother and wife here for the weekend to catch up since we live so far apart. We especially loved the screened-in porch for morning coffee.

We stayed at the Helen Louise house for a family weekend. We loved the vintage feel of the home and especially appreciated all of the extra touches included - from the welcome basket complete with wine, Nespresso, and the lovely lavender bathroom products. The back porch and property are also so peaceful.

The house was adorable. Very quaint and comfy plus stocked with every item imaginable! The owners pay close attention to detail and it was much appreciated. The back porch and yard are so charming. Multiple bird feeders attract feathered friends which was wonderful for our early morning coffee. Would definitely recommend!!

This house was cozy, beautifully decorated well-kept. Owners left snacks enough for four. Our backyard was beautiful, well manicured and maintained. We loved the little screened in porch off the back. Lots of birds to watch because of all the birdfeeders. Many many different types of birds really enjoyed ourselves. Would stay here again.

We truly enjoyed our stay. Home is beautiful and well maintained. Everything you could ever need is included. Beth has thought of everything! Loved enjoying our morning coffee bird watching on the screened in porch. If you are looking to get away from the crowds and enjoy some tranquility this is the place!!

This was by far the best VRBO I have ever stayed in. Our party was 2 couples with a weekend getaway to see some wildflowers. The house was clean, well functioning, and well stocked as expected, but there were tons of unexpected surprises that were just great. The interior had tons of cool touches and memories from yesterday but with modern conveniences. Little things such as complimentary toiletries; toothbrushes, shower cap, makeup removers and slippers were nice touches. Other nice things were coffee beans and a grinder for fresh ground coffee and bikes in the garage with helmets and locks so you borrow them and ride into town. We rode the bikes to main street both nights of our stay for dinner. It was a lot of fun. I would definitely recommend this one and we'll look for it again if we go back to Fredericksburg in the future.

Helen Louise was our little “ peace” of heaven in Fredericksberg where we based ourselves to explore the Hill Country over three days. The property had every possible amenity.. just fabulous and we've stated in many VRBO and other properties in our time .. this was one of the best! Sitting out in the serene backyard with the birds and beer/ wine .. just great! Thank you Beth and Max for letting us stay in your special place.. and for all the lovely extra surprises left for us .. so much appreciated. Whilst mobility issues prevented us walking into town Ubers were easy available. Until next time …..

We came here for a short mini family reunion. We had a wonderful time visiting and the house was perfect for our needs. We were all very impressed by the kitchen - it had absolutely everything we needed! We'd highly recommend.

We’ve been to Fredericksburg before but staying at this house makes the trip better. It it quiet and enough or of the way yet an easy brisk walk to Main St. Love the covered porch in the back, the chimino and birds. Personal touches throughout: coffee, sodas… a toothbrush we forgot is so nice.

Very comfortable house for 2 couples. Two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Great outdoor space. The kitchen was great and well stocked. The covered porch and backyard were awesome but we didn’t use much since it was cold two out of 3 nighttime. The only, minor issue was that there was no bath soap in master bedroom. There was shampoo, conditioner but no soap. There was also no dish soap and since we cooked breakfast, we had to make a soap run. House had great touches, 50’s details. We enjoyed it very much and would probably stay again!
