The cabin was phenomenal. It had everything we needed and more. The first part of our stay was constant rain but it didn’t matter because we had a blast playing all the board games, pool and pinball! The house was in pristine shape with amazing views and outdoor sitting areas. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

Very clean and well organized and equipped with everything you could want.

Overall good experience

We had a great stay! The house has everything we needed. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, good location on SML, the dock and kayaks are our favorite part. We also enjoyed walking in the neighborhood and seeing all the deer.

Great location weather did not corporate but we made the most of it. Plenary of games and things to do inside on rainy days. Please add a couple more cleats to the dock and possibly add bumpers or firehose to the floater as a buffer. Other than that no complaints. Great place to stay

We had a great week on the lake. The house was equipped with everything we needed. It was clean and stocked with essentials. Can’t wait to come back!

We were able to rent a boat less than a mile away and dock it at the house for the duration of our stay. We toured, tubed, & swam by day; cooked out, played pool & card games by night. The house was clean and cozy with plenty of space for everyone. We hope to do it again next year!

We really enjoyed our stay on Smith Mountain lake. We rented a boat and docked it at the dock that was attached at house! The house was labeled with everything. Was fully stocked. Clean, tons of towels that came sealed. Lots of extras. Two of the pinballs machines were out of order, that was a bummer as I had surprised my family with the game room. Watch out for ants and do not leave food out. We could only get the AC down to 72. The downstairs was pretty cold but upstairs was not very comfortable. Overalll, was a great stay.

Exceeded our expectations and great location!!

Rustic, lake-themed decor is paired perfectly with modern fixtures and appliances, not to mention all the thoughtful amenities (coffee, gift bag and an abundant supply of towels) provided by our host. Wonderful setting to make great family memories, from game room tournaments to paddling around the cove to quick trips over to the marina for putt-putt and ice cream. Looking forward to our next visit!

great deck and dock for lounging, swimming and boating. awesome game room that was a hit with adults and kids alike. well stocked, labeled and very clean. we loved it!

We had a great family vacation spending most of our time there out on the water. The outside of this property is beautiful from the wonderful front garden to beautiful back deck and dock area. Neighborhood is quiet, Food Lion only about five minutes away and in a good location overall. Best stocked kitchen I've seen in a rental including good quality cookware and a great grill on the back deck.

Looks like it was recently renovated, new showers in 2 ensuites. new back decking. etc. The company was responsive about the blinds. Apparently, you just need to pull them down or push them up. There were 3 kayaks there and not 4. They were all usable and we took advantage of those in the little cove just off the main channel. Early morning paddling was great. Fish were jumping. Birds were flying around.

Very nice house --- had the best stocked kitchen I've ever seen in a rental and just about all the consumables (e.g. paper towels, dishwashing tabs, toilet paper, etc.) were provided. Toiletry kits were provided in all bedrooms, which was a nice touch. Lake view from the upper deck and dock was nice. The pinball machines and kayaks were a hit. Nice sized bedrooms and tons of board games available. We definitely enjoyed our stay here and would rent this house again!

Had an amazing week at this lake house, came here to ride our Harleys and this area did not disappoint, rode all day and came home to the beautiful lake and swam, played pool, pinball games and hung out on the huge deck watching the deer and fish jumping in the water. It really was an amazing house and met all our expectations.

This property is fantastic!!! We spent as much time as possible on the dock and in the water! We used the three kayaks there, brought our own paddleboard, and rented a boat for water skiing and tubing. We had a perfect family vacation before leaving our son at Virginia Tech for his third year. Thank you!

we loved the house, dock, location

This was our second week-long trip to Smith Mountain Lake in two years and we had a terrific time. The house was spacious, well-stocked, attractive, and comfortable, the view beautiful, and the lake a lot of fun. We loved the daily visits from the ice cream boat. The week passed by all too quickly!

This was our fourth trip to SML. This was by far the best home we have stayed in on the lake. With the four bedrooms (one has bunk beds), it is perfect for families, children and friends. The home was clean and everything looked to be sanitized. Towels even came in sealed packages. The cove where this house is located is in a perfect location. There is hardly any wake from boats and each day we were able to float on rafts without drifting away from the pier. The water here is so warm in July and August. The house came with three kayaks, a bunch of life jackets, rafts, floats, and fishing poles. There are two outside sitting areas for dining. One is attached to the house and one is on the pier. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you needed to cook with. They even supplied paper towels, and most of the necessities that you need right away when checking in without having to run to the grocery store (which is only 7 minutes away unlike the description on this property). The cove was quiet and peaceful, however there is some yard work going on for a new home next door that was built recently. Most likely will be completed very soon. The boathouse and pier is pretty large and we had no problem having room for our entire family there. Most rooms had large screen TV's. There are three pinball machines and a pool table as well. Downstairs also has a small fridge and mini bar area with seating. Things to do in the area: There is a large arcade about 10 minutes from the house in an area where you can also grab a bite to eat, visit some shops and take advantage of the marina. Dining out was OK. some places were still struggling to get back on their feet due to Covid so hours were limited. Downtown Roanoke is 45 minutes away if you want a day of shopping and dining. All in all, great home , terrific location and we will be back again. The view is to die for!

This home is well maintained, and very spacious. My family and I had a great time, and really appreciated everything this home had to offer!

This property is obviously run by a management company that does an excellent job. We felt comfortable staying here with Covid as everything was spotless. There were games for the kids and even for the Adults. We were a family of 4 Adults (2 grandparents) and 2 kids. Each kid had their own room their parents a master on the same floor and grandparents had the privacy of a master bedroom and en suite bathroom downstairs. Could not have been better. The kids loved playing outside and we all spent most of the time either on the patio or at the dock. Highly recommend this property

Great location and really nice space. Loved the fireplace and cabin feel. Would definitely recommend to any group looking for a fun long weekend, like we did.

This home is immaculate! We only had 4 adults in our group so there was plenty of room for everyone. I think the pinball room ended up being everyone's favorite spot. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of dishes, cups, and cooking utensils. We brought our boat and it was easy access from the public boat ramp to the dock. A quick boat ride across the lake to get to restaurants and shopping. We will definitely consider staying here again.

Wonderful house in a great location to wineries . Very relaxing weekend.

Myself and a group of buddies decided to have a guys trip here. The house is absolutely gorgeous, as is the property. It’s on a nice quiet cove, but right off the main channel. There’s plenty of room inside the house, and plenty of areas outside and on the dock to hang out also. We had a blast. Can’t wait to do it again!
