The property is small and very pretty , the covered parking is great . I loved the fact I could leave the door open and see my family swimming at the pool. The covered screen porch with the ocean in the background was amazing at night, it is a so calming . The condo is very spacious and tons of storage and space. The beach access was perfect and a little 2 minute walk. The host meeting us there for a tour AND a bottle of wine and popcorn for the kids was amazing . If we go back to Vilano next year I will book with this again. The drive into St. Augustine was so quick and easy . Loved this place

Fantastic condo. Everything was as advertised and more. Extremely clean and well stocked. From our introductory tour to our last day instructions for leaving, it was perfect. One of our top VRBO experiences. Thanks go to the owners for making this such a wonderful place to stay.

The property is worn down and dingy. The living room furniture was so uncomfortable and very unpleasant to sit on. The patio furniture was just as bad. The beds were not comfortable at all. The bathrooms were small. The clothes washer had a horrible odor and we opted not to do laundry while there.
Being we had young kids, one of the younger ones jumped in the pool got out and told us they thought they had passed gas but really had almost pooped their pants. Nothing was in the pool but as a courtesy we called to let the owner know and asked what he wanted to do. He said he would call maintenance and for us not to use the pool until he let us know. He did not call nor text by the next day
and there was no signs about not using the pool, so we texted him and he said that maintenance was taking care of it. That evening there was a "pool closed" sign.
Our check out the next day so we didnt use the pool again.
The day we left and got an email through VRBO stating that we were being charged $180 extra for the cleaning of the pool. $145 for maintenance and $35 for supplies. You would think maintenance gets paid to maintain the pool anyway and that they would have supplies to do that. So why were we charged?
The owner never communicated to us that we would be charged this fee. We have tried calling him and cant get ahold of him.
**Moral of the story if there isnt poop in the pool dont say a word.**

The Condo was beautiful and lots of room. Everything we needed was in the condo and clean. They had beach chairs and umbrella to use. Grocery store right down the street.

Our first trip to St Augustine was wonderful. We were greeted by Ralph upon our arrival and he showed us all the amenities and how to work the tv, grill, etc. The condo had everything we could possibly need. Not only was the kitchen well stocked but we had access to beach chairs, umbrellas and beach towels. The location right on the beach is incredible. We walked the beach just about every morning. The screened in porch was lovely to sit and listen to the waves. Ralph was so kind. He checked in with us to see how things were going and we mentioned that we had planned to watch the Super Bowl from the condo. The tv wasn't set up for that streaming service so Ralph came out the very next day to set it up on the tv. What a sweetheart!

This Condo is so peaceful and well stocked. We loved how close the beach access was and how nice the owners were to help show us everything the condo had to offer the first day. I hope to be able to stay here again the next time we come to Florida
for vacation.

Wonderful condo and host!!! The location is great, right on the beach. The whole condo is so charmingly decorated and well stocked with everything you could possibly need and more. Perfect for a family with kids, the pool is right out the front door and a large grassy area right outside the back door for playing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to come back again.

We discovered we could walk to almost anything we needed like the local pier, coffee shop, restaurants, fishing tackle and grocery. Of course the best walk is the beautiful beach!
We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the condos lanai and listening to the ocean waves as we fell asleep.
Our host went above and beyond when stocking supplies for the kitchen as well as personal care products. There was even a basket of new slippers in the closest for us. Lots of thoughtful little touches.
Our host was a pleasurer to talk with and quick to respond if we had a question.
Beds were comfortable. Unit was clean and inviting.
We hope to come back and stay again!

Everything was so easy from getting settled to how close and easy it was to get to the beach. The condo was clean and very well-stocked!! We were blown away!! The screened in area is incredible for having a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and listening to the ocean. The pool was nearly right outside our door as well. We had no rowdy neighbors, just friendly people everywhere. My wife was making plans to come back before we even left!

This was an amazing place to stay-right on the beach! Fully stocked kitchen and pantry, bathroom, Outdoor storage (beach chairs, beach umbrellas, towels toys, etc!) Loved the screened in patio which had great ocean views to capture the sunrise. Ralph met us on arrival to show us all the amenities of the condo and showed us where everything was located. We highly recommend and would stay here again! 5+stars!!!

The property was great! The pool was out our front door, the beach was around the corner. Nicely decorated and so many things to make our stay easier. We didn't even need the beach things we brought. Will recommend this place to others and hopefully use it in the future.

We were greeted by our host when we arrived. Very nice and friendly. Had a short tour of the place and what was available. A grocery store was conveniently located three blocks away, a plus. Restaurants between Vilano Beach and the old City of St Augustine. Beautiful beach. Very clean and organized condo. Loved our stay.

This was our second stay at Great Wave and it did not disappoint. We love the area and the privacy on the beach. We think the stairs to the beach wear fixed and modified as it was much easier to get down to the beach with all our stuff. I highly recommend staying there, just please not in June when we love to go.

My son, parents and I booked this for a few days. It was very well decorated and had many things supplied above and beyond what was expected. I loved the screened in porch and fan. It is conveniently located to anywhere you want to go in St Augustine including restaurants. We ate at Aunt Kates, St. Augustine Fish House, and Metro Diner and they were all wonderful. We were sad to leave and would definitely book this property again.

What a great vacation rental! We were in town for a wedding and stayed a few extra days. Very convenient to downtown, dining, groceries, and of course right on the beach just down the boardwalk. The unit is on the ground floor and I loved waking up to see the sunrise without even leaving my bed. The unit itself is very clean and the most organized rental unit I've ever stayed. Massive shout out in particular to the beach closet. The way they have the chairs hung with carabiners, the large beach tent and the wagon was great. And it was all clean and newer as well. Nothing worse than hauling a chair down to the beach to find it's so rusted you don't even want to sit on it. None of that at the Great Wave. Check in was easy, unit had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.

We love Vilanos Beach and this property was perfect for our stay. Beautiful sunrise views in comfy surroundings, long walks on the beach just outside the door and close to amazing restaurants. Our hosts were very easy to deal with. We will definitely return.

We had two wonderful weeks at Vilano Beach. Rachel and Ralph were very attentive and present a serene, well maintained and very comfortable home. The location is great with the Atlantic Ocean only a short walk on the boardwalk to the beach, especially sunrise with your favorite morning beverage. Historic St. Augustine is a short drive away with all of its sites and restaurants.

I really can't say enough wonderful things about our stay at Great Wave! Felt like a secluded little beach house, even as a condo, and you could hear the waves from the screened in porch. St. Augustine with the cutest shops and restaurants is such a short drive away (under 10 minutes) and the gorgeous beach just steps away. The unit has everything you need to cook any meal you'd like, coffee provided, and just cozy and comfortable all the way through. Ralph was wonderful and met us in person to show us the ropes of the unit so we felt so at home. The welcome bottle of wine from San Sebastian winery was so good and such a thoughtful touch! Already wanting to come back! Highly recommended.

Great place to stay. Clean , comfortable . Looks just like the pictures. Condo is right on the beach, there is an easy access to the beach. Close to a grocery store ,some restaurants, and St Augustine. Host met us on arrival and showed us around condo.The host has a book with all the information about the condo and the area that was very helpful. Wonderful place to stay, will definitely return to stay again .

Rachel is probably the BEST VRBO host I’ve encountered. She has thought of everything - from the beach toys to kitchen supplies to mints by your bed. Switches are labeled so you know your way around the condo. The screened porch was my FAVORITE! Really enjoyed laying in the hammock and listening to the sound of the ocean. Super convenient to the beach, the pool, a grocery store and things to do in St. Augustine. I got a few good walks on the beach despite our cooler weather. We enjoyed seeing the Nights of Lights festival. Really hope to come back one day! Thank you Rachel!

Everything was exactly as advertised. The condo was beautifully decorated and was very comfortable. It was so nice that all the little details, beach toys, kitchen items, bathroom toiletries, had been paid attention to so we could relax and enjoy our stay. We loved rocking the little ones in the hammock on the screen in porch. The beach is a short walk from the condo and the pool was clean. The sunsets were gorgeous from this location. This was my first time using VRBO and the communication from Rachel was great and checking in and out was easy. Thank you for an awesome stay.

The location was perfect. Close to historic downtown, restaurants, beaches, etc. Condo was stocked with everything you might need.
The only negative was the tv setup, streaming apps. We had a hard time finding live local news stations which was important since Hurricane Ian was heading towards us. An emergency radio would have been a big help. Overall, the condo was great!
