Given ... finding the place was a little bit challenging (even with GPS assistance), but I guess that is Italy with its small (one-way) streets. However, located in a quite pedestrian area close to a small, picturesque Piazza with several restaurants this place is DEFINETELY worth the challenge. Just reaching the apartment through a historic doorway and courtyard gave us a flair of authentic Italian living that we did not anticipate ... and after mastering quite some stairs with our luggage we were awarded with a "million dollar view" of Lake Garda. The vista is just breathtaking. The apartment itself is modern, spacious and extremely well equipped (in particular the kitchen). Our favorite thing was ending a day of exploring Lake Garda sitting on the terrace seeing the sun going down over the lake. Our host Laura was very accommodating and ensured that our vacation was truly memorable. This is not your typical vacation rental and if you are looking for a quite and authentic place to stay at Lake Garda (and are willing to walk a little bit) we can only recommend this place. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we did!

Our stay in Alloro was absolutely fantastic. The apartment is even more stunning than the photos show, and the views are incredible. Laura was a fantastic host, who kept in constant contact prior to our arrival and met us on the day we arrived to show us around. There was more than enough room for our family of five, and the apartment has everything you would require for your stay. The village of Gardonne Riviera is right on your doorstep, and has numerous places to eat aswell as a bakery and butchers. The nearby parking is also very helpful. We're looking forward to returning already!

A really lovely apartment - all our family (2 adults and 2 teens) had hoped for and more. + spotlessly clean, well supplied, nice open layout + amazing terrace with fantastic views of Lake Garda + comfortable beds, very good linens + step out of front door onto a pedestrian-only cobbled street with butcher, baker and small greengrocer within 5 steps; go a few more yards and you have a choice of several small restaurants + Gardone Sopra itself is charming - heard a lot more Italian here than some other places. 10 minute walk down to Gardone, the lake, the ferry stop and water access for swimming. 15 minute walk back up the hill in the heat of August! + pleasantly surprised that we had two tourist attractions within 5 minutes walk - Vittoriale (strange but worth seeing once), and the Botanic gardens which are unusual but we really enjoyed them + Laura, the manager, was great to work with All in all, we were thrilled with the Alloro and would love to return - wish all our holiday rentals were this successful.

Having just returned from a week staying in the Alloro apartment I am already missing the place! The apartment really is stunning. The view from balcony is truly out of this world! In fact, not only the balcony, as there are three large windows overlooking the same view. The location of Gardone Riviera means the lake stretches around both to the left and right as well as straight ahead. This gives you a really panoramic view that is perfect to take in from the apartment balcony. As if the view wasn't enough, the apartment itself is clean, spacious, and modern - making it a perfect place to relax no matter what the weather. On the doorstep you have some amazing restaurants, a very friendly bakery (which also acts as a small convenience store), an extremely helpful local produce store, and a well-stocked butcher. There is also a tourist train/bus that runs virtually from the door of the apartment down to the promenade and back. This is great for getting around and saves you the walk back up the hill after a few drinks! If you choose to stay here I would also recommend visiting a restaurant called Sans Souci which is located on one of the side streets off the main promenade in Gardone Riviera. Laura was extremely helpful from the first contact all the way through to our arrival and departure. I have no hesitation in recommending the Alloro and we will definitely be looking to stay here again in the future.

We stayed in Laura's appartment last year in August for a week and really enjoyed it. The appartment is on the top floor of an old monastery with a private entrance. It is newly renovated and you have more than enough space. We stayed there with our two little children and they instantly felt at home. There are two bathrooms, one ensuite to the master bedroom and the other one just next to the second bedroom. We very much liked the interior design and style, which is very modern but also combined with classical elements. Everything is very clean and well maintained. You have a beautiful view over Lake Garda from a large terrace you can enter either from the living room or the master bedroom. The flat is equipped with everything you need and Laura is always helpful if you need anything additional or information on Gardone Riviera or the surroundings. Next to the flat there a few little shops that can provide you with all basic things you need. We especially liked the fruit and vegetable shop next door - the owner is very nice and the goods sold are excellent quality. A few steps down the roads there are a few restaurants so basically everything you need is withing walking distance. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definately come back!

Wir verbrachten im Frühsommer 2014 eine Woche in diesem wirklich wunderschönen Apartment. Wohnung und Lage sind erstklassig; in Gardone Riviera Alto, ca. 800 m über dem Gardasee und mit wunderschönem Blick auf diesen und die Umgebung. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und lässt mit der grossen Terrasse keine Wünsche offen; sehr sauber und einfach alles vorhanden, sogar eine Flasche Wein, Wasser, Brot und ein riesiges Stück Käse lag zu unserer Begrüssung bereit. In nächster Nähe findet sich alles; Restaurants, Bäckerei, Metzgerei und ein kleiner Lebensmittelladen, welcher frisches Gemüse, Früchte und auch guten Wein verkauft. Der reservierte Parkplatz ist ebenfalls in weniger als 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Leider haben wir Laura selber nicht getroffen, da sie geschäftlich unterwegs war. Der Kontakt mit ihr vorher war aber sehr unkompliziert und nett und für unsere Ankunft war alles perfekt organisiert. Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben, können dieses Apartment nur wärmstens weiter empfehlen und hoffen, dass auch wir irgendwann wieder in den Genuss von ein paar Tagen Seele baumeln lassen im „Alloro“ kommen. (waren schon in vielen FeWo-Wohnungen, diese war bisher eine der schönsten!!)

Its a great little apartment that is suitable for a couple, or small family. Its right in the center of a village with several restaurants that are really friendly. Its quite a walk down to the lake, and the walk back is very steep, but there is a small train that takes you down to the lake that runs from very close to the door of the apartment.

We stayed first time in Alloro Appartement in Gardone after having been at least 20 times on that side of the lake Garda. Alloro was the best place we have been. The appartment is even better than shown in the layout. It was clean and well maintained and Laura, who speaks a good english was helpfull just in case of any requirement. We stayed in Alloro as a couple with 2 dogs and actually the space is absolutely sufficient for 4 people. The absolute highlight is the sleeping room as well as the living room facing the lake. The terrace is another diamond in this lovely appartment. When you enter the building you will not expect this kind of jewel behind the antique walls. Has we like to cook it is a lovely place with a unbelievable good quality butcher just around the corner who is selling meat and poultry far above standard quality. The market in Salo is also an absolute must for all gourmets. We also like to sip our sundowner at the lungo largo in Salo . Our return together with friends is already booked - there is nothing more to add.

Our family spent a week in this absolutely exquisite apartment. The views are straight out of a James Bond movie. The location, just steps away from a great bakery, fruit shop and several wonderful restaurants. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated, modern, impeccably clean and very well equipped. And our host, Laura, was absolutely incredible. She was helpful, but never intrusive -- always smiling and just an amazing person to get to know. Our youngest son (19) wanted to see a soccer game. We couldn't get tickets in the US, so Laura purchased them for us so we could see the playoffs in Milan. It was one of the highlights of our trip -- and we are so grateful to Laura! She even drove into town on her scooter to escort us to the apartment when we got a bit lost on the day we checked in. If you want a quiet, relaxing, elegant getaway, this is the place. We give our highest recommendations to the apartment, location, and especially for Laura -- she is truly an "angel" of a host -- and her advice on places to see were right on target. We have been to Europe many times, but never before to Italy. We spent two and half wonderful weeks touring Italy, but our week at Lake Garda was the MOST fun and most memorable -- our whole family agrees. We highly recommend renting a car for your stay here because there are so many beautiful places to see around the lake to explore, including a wonderful Brazilian-style steak house in the mountains toward the north end of the lake. The reserved parking spot for the apartment was very convenient. We give this apartment and host Laura Angeli our highest recommendation. We hope to come back soon! At the end of august me and my family spent 10 days in this appartement called "Alloro" which offers a fantastic view over Lago di Garda. We enjoyed our stay very much, not least because of Laura's kindness and support. She is the property manger and provided us with every information concerning the appartement and the whole region. Everyone we met at Gardone Alto was so open-hearted and friendly. So it wasn`t difficult to feel at home quickly. The appartement itself provided great comfort even for the five of us. It was a pleasure to move around in rooms designed with so much taste and passion for detail. For those who travel by car it could be useful to know, that there is a safe parking area in the immediate vincinity of the house where you can leave your car for free. Just around the corner you can find some small grocer's shops and fine restaurants after everyone's fancy. Especially Gardone Alto is a lovely picturesque place with great sightes only a few steps from the appartement. So once again, thank you Laura, we'll come back soon!

'Alloro' what can we say ? This is a fantastically special place to stay with so many wonderful features, the best being the stunning view off the balcony to the lake and surrounding scenery below. The apartment has everything you could need and is in a lovely area of Lake Garda. The actual village of Gardone Alto has all the local shops & restaurants (very friendly people) you need if you don't want to tear yourself away from the amazing view. All other lovely villages eg. Salo, Limone, Sirmione are not far to get too and have their own unique features which make them well worth a visit. It's very easy to sum up your stay here - Magical!

Laura and the apartment at Lake Garda made our holiday. We originally booked a different apartment with a different company and arrived to find that they had double booked us and had sent us to a hotel (Hotel Sogno). As you can imagine we were bitterly disappointed. Having spoken with the hotel receptionist, she kindly called Laura and arranged for us to meet Laura at the apartment only minutes after the phone call. We arrived to find laura and a team of cleaners getting the apartment ready for us! (having only heard 30 mins ago). The apartment is stunning and has an unbelievable view of the lake. the little village is perfect for those who don't want too much tourism and it has the old italy feel! We recommended the apartment to family immediately who have booked there. I have to recommend the apartment and laura highly as you are sure to have a great stay at lake garda. We stayed in the Appartment Alloro in march for 5 days. Everything was perfect.You feel like home because you have everything you need, starting with a full equipt kitchen to wonderful designed interiours , free Wi-Fi, a chimney , air conditioning and a wonderful terrace with an amazing view over the Garda Lake, best ever. We warmly recommend the appartment which is located in the beautiful pedestrian area of Gardone Riviera. Very quiet and lovely. Cosy. You can walk for breakfast, lunch and dinner to excelent restaurants which are directly in the neighbourhood. Laura is a very precious and suporting host. We are looking forward to come back again soon.

Perfect apartment!!! The best view ever on lake Garda. Wifi works very well, kitchen is fully equiped, and an oven in the living room, if it would get cold. The apartment is spacious and stylish furnished, definately desigened by an arcitect. I would definately recommend.
