Stayed here before. We love this house.

This was a great spot for our family to spend some time on SGI. Perfect location with easy access to the Gulf and Bay sides of the island. House has an amazing outdoor deck area to enjoy the weather when not on the beach. Very well kept and clean house. This was not a surprise and a benefit (imo), but it is a drive or decent bike ride to all the amenities of SGI. Would 100% recommend.

This is a wonderful place. Everything is as advertised. Just a few minutes to the beach. And the deck is amazing!

It was an awesome place, and the covering was perfect for the boat. Short walk to the beach!

Only recommendation is maybe update coffee maker.

Couches are difficult to get out of, front white post need to be flagged as they are at head level., my husband hit his head

Good overall. Already communicated other issues personally with the owner. One other issue though. We got in well after dark and had a terrible time finding the house. If local code allows, maybe some higher visibility numbers out by the street would be helpful.

We had a great stay at shark bait. The house was older but everything worked as it should. It was clean. This house has a nice deck and outside shower. Great location and adequate distance from the neighbors. I would recommend to upgrade the lock to an electric keypad as the key is a little inconvenient since the back door only locks from the inside. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time at Sharkbait. We had everything we needed for a great family vacation at the beach. Location was perfect. Loved the house. Would definitely stay again.

Rustic and quaint. Wife's first impression: Wow, if the plumbing and appliances work, we'll stay here again! They did and we will. Also loved the back deck with ocean view for lounging. Enjoyed a three day stay with no problems. Very short walk to the beach.

The house was exactly as advertised. A short walk to the beach. Good location. We beached a boat in the leeward sound to the north and walked to the boat (when the tide was in). Very convenient location. We have everything we needed. If I were forced to be critical, I would want an exhaust over the range/oven but we really enjoyed our stay.

There were several great things about Shark Bait. First off is the location on the less crowded East End of the island, and though you are not on the beach, you can get a nice ocean view from the house. The walk to the beach is just down the multi-use trail and around the corner. We also found the beds to be comfortable. The outdoor shower with hot water was really nice when coming in from the beach. We didn't use the fish cleaning station, but if you fish, that would be a big plus. There is enough room under the house to park two cars. The outdoor furniture was in good condition and we enjoyed the porch. There are lots of games, books, and an arcade console for the family to enjoy. There are also some shortcomings to the house. There are no vent fans in the kitchen or the bathrooms. If you boil shrimp you really want to be able to vent that outside! The couch springs are worn so that you sink way down in them when you sit down. We had some problems with the lock, but Heather was responsive in trying to address the problem. We found someone else's clothing under one of the beds, which tells me the cleaning crew isn't thorough. The kitchen was adequately equipped, but could have had more dishes. For example, in a house that can sleep 8 people there were 4 soup spoons and 4 teaspoons. There were 8 drinking glasses. In most rental houses there are extras so you don't need to wash everything before the next meal. Overall, I think the house was good for the price, but the owners could make some improvements.

My husband and I traveled to SGI for the fourth time and needed to bring our pups. This pet-friendly property was clean, well-appointed and great location. Heather (host) was extremely responsive and very accommodating. We had a a couple of small issues in the bathroom but Heather had it resolved that same morning. Highly recommend!

We came to St George to fish and were not disappointed in the variety and quantity of fish we caught. Considering the excellent access to the beach, we found this to be reasonably priced. A short walk to the beach pulling our cart, then on to the walkway that only had 3 steps to navigate at the end to be on the beach. Fish caught: lots of whiting (17 inches largest one), small pompano, bonnet head shark and sharp nose shark which are delicious, lemon shark, bluefish, stingray but no catfish! The cleaning station was a wonderful accommodation for fisherman like us. Besides being so close to beach access, the house was just very comfortable as well. It had everything we needed. Heather (the owner) was very quick to respond to all our questions and very considerate to our requests. Going back soon!
