Just a few nights in KC to check out the museums. The carriage house was cozy and convenient.

I was impressed with the neighborhood as I drove in, and then even more impressed with the house. The carriage house was quaint and cosy with everything I needed. It was secluded with off street parking, a big plus for me. I need to return to Kansas City in about a year and I'm hoping this is available then.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The place is small but has everything needed for a pleasant experience. The bed is comfortable, and the kitchen has the necessary appliances with a good-size counter with stools. The living room has a work desk. The bathroom is small (not a lot of legroom in front of the toilet) but the shower is great and has plenty of room. We were welcomed by the hosts with some nice treats for both us and our dogs. We made use of the park-like area with paved walking trail across the street. All in all, we loved our stay.

My husband and I have stayed here with our dogs in the past. It's got all the amenities of home a nd always a very warm welcome. This time around it was my dog and I, perfect for us, close to where we needed to be. I think the owners would bend over backwards to make your stay as comfortable as it could be. The dog and I will not return but only because, and I don't know when it happened, I got too old to safely navigate the stairs! AND the "fenced in ,pet friendly back yard", is not. It's for the owners' dogs, not those of visitors. Other than those 2 issues, everything is top notch and I would recommend the Carriage House!

We took our pooch on our first long trip. Needed a place that would take pets. It was PERFECT. It's above a garage and no shared walls so her barking was not disturbing anyone else. We learned that she would probably not do well at hotels. Beyond the pet perfection, The property is behind a gorgeous house and the neighborhood is quiet with a nice park right across the street. It would be a nice place to stay if you had to come for a long business trip or to just explore KC for a day or two. Marty & Kelly left sweet personal touches. We felt well cared for. Will highly recommend to others.

Very nice, everything you could need for an overnight or short stay! Close to lots of restaurants, great neighborhood, very quiet, lots of beautiful homes. Kelly was super helpful! Hope to come back....

This is a delightfully cozy home away from home in a nicely renovated carriage house! It has anything you could need and well stocked kitchen gadgets too. Clean, quiet area, comfy bed & pillows, etc.. Pictures and description spot on! Wonderful wine, fruit, and dog treat was a nice welcome touch! Nice park to walk across the (not busy) street. Very responsive to any questions. Kelly has put together an excellent 3 ring binder stuffed full of ideas and recommendations for restaurants, things to do, etc... The Arabia Steamboat Museum was our favorite which we would have never otherwise known about it. This was our first visit to spend 2 days in KC and we were very impressed and would stay here again without a doubt! Thank you Kelly for hosting our wonderful weekend!!

This place is small but wow did it make you feel like it was big. The whole place is perfectly laid out and the very large kitchen and Island made meal preps so easy. The bed is a full size but it was very comfortable and the location is so perfect for a silent night of sleep and rest. The Futon Couch could be improved on, while functional and comfortable enough its just not a couch,, but we did not leave feeling sad about that at all. The host are very accommodating and friendly. You will not regret this choice .... Now the other good stuff,,if you are a foody there are so many amazing places nearby to go and skip all the mainstay places. They have a great guide to all the off the path happy hours and specialty foods you are going to love. Finally its all about location location and this is right in the heart of it all. and do not forget out the parking right next to your door. loading and unloading is a breeze.

We have a truck and the parking was tight but doable. Owner and pooches were very nice. Great food recommendations and history of the area and carriage house.

This is a fantastic place to stay. The hosts are wonderful and have thought of everything to make us feel welcome and at home. If you have pets, they will be welcomed too. We enjoyed reading the binder they put together of the history of the house and one full of menus of good restaurants in the area. All around lovely place and people. We hope to stay there again when we come back to KC.

The carriage house was so great and the hosts were awesome! Super clean and very comfortable place to stay! The bed was extremely comfortable and had no problems with any of it! Really is in a great place where you can get just about anywhere within 10 min! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again when visiting Kansas City again! Thank you both so much!

We loved absolutely everything about this VRBO with the exception of the beds. The bed had a bar in the center of the mattress from top to bottom which you felt easily. The futon was miserably hard. I have had a hip and knee replacement which made the need for a better mattress. The futon my pregnant daughter tried to sleep on and found it to be difficult. I use 4"- 6"memory foam on top of my beds to assist in some comfort for my spare beds and futon for my personal guests. Otherwise, everything else was above satisfactory. Nice people, just need better quality sleeping furniture.

Everything was as expected. Love the details including books, videos, and bottle of wine. My only suggested improvement would be to add some blackout curtains in the bedroom window. Maybe also make people aware that the driveway has walls on either side and its tight for any large vehicle. A big SUV or full size truck will find this driveway challenging.

We came down for haunted houses didn’t want to drive back late. Found this great place it worked out perfectly for location and with our dog. lovely place to spend the night.

Perfect little room nestled above a garage in the quiet, historic Hyde Park neighborhood. Clean and well maintained. Hope I get to stay here next time I'm in town.

Our Hosts were the best if anything was needed and the Carriage House was beautiful! We had a quiet retreat from our moving to another city and really needed the rest. The surroundings were beautiful and quiet. It was easy to reach out to friends and family from our location. Thanks again.

If I ever find myself back in KC, I will definitely stay here! We were greeted with menus of where to eat, recommendations on what to do in the area, wine, and so much more. We came for the Lions vs. Chiefs game so we weren’t at the VRBO very often, but when we were it was a warm and welcoming environment. We had a great experience in Kansas City thanks to the carriage house!

Absolutely lovely! Dream home away from home. I slept well in the cozy bedroom, extended my stay last minute and appreciated the hospitality. If in KCMO again, I will stay here, for sure!

Great location, clean, and friendly hosts

This was a perfect place for 2 Swifty's to camp out before and after the concert. The bed and futon were both super comfy, bathroom was very nice, including an amazing shower! Hosts Marty and Kelly went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again and will recommend it to all! Love Love Love It!
