A beautiful home in a very special place

This house exudes charm, thoughtfulness, and obvious pride and love. It was immaculate and supplied with everything we could have wanted. We especially enjoyed and appreciated the attention to detail. The beds were comfortable and furnished with lovely linens. Sitting on the upper deck gave us a lovely view of the bay. It is located just a little ways outside the downtown area, and was a perfect distance for us to walk back and forth to the center of town. The property manager/owner was very gracious and helpful. We highly recommend this home and would return for another vacation.

This home was the full package, the pictures are stunning but somehow the property is even better in person. We loved the big porch, the spa-like bathroom and the well-appointed spacious kitchen. The location is very convenient to town but still feels private thanks to landscaping and fencing. We'd recommend this home to anyone!

We love visiting San Juan Island. This was a great location for quick trips into town and a quiet jumping off point to get to all our favorite junked and shoreline adventures. The house is beyond immaculate. So clean and tasteful. We enjoyed every minute.

They made our stay absolutely fantastic. The high level of detail and communication was greatly appreciated and the best we have ever had. I would recommend this amazing location to everyone. The layout with the living upstairs with the vaulted ceiling and views was great. They thought of lots of details and we never said I wish they had…. Any issues they were quick to respond to, handled well and again communicated quickly and thoroughly. Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your delightful cottage getaway.

This was a fantastic VRBO rental experience ! The house was in unbelievable condition with EVERY imaginable item you would want supplied; everything was in spectacular condition and arranged in an organized fashion. The attention to detail was extraordinary and nuanced. The house was immaculate.....their cleaning service was the absolute best we have ever experienced. Location was perfect: within a 5 minute drive of "downtown" Friday Harbor where there are many restaurants, shops, and complete grocery shopping. The owner was exceptional....very professional/friendly and communicated well. This was the best rental experience we have had in many years of traveling. Thank you Barbara ! The house has been remodeled with great taste. It is nothing short of perfection. And the owner has anticipated just about any need a guest could have or dream up. The kitchen is complete, down to the pound of local coffee.
The house is in a quiet location. The proximity to the town's excellent restaurants and the ferry terminal is a decided plus.

4 women stayed for 3 nights and toured the island. It is a short walk to downtown Friday Harbor, bike rentals and restaurants. If you are sensitive to traffic it was a little noisy when sitting outside but we didn’t notice it at all in side. Not a problem! My only suggestion would be if you like games, bring your own

The cottage on Cedar Street was the perfect location for our two night stay. We were four adults and found the set up (two bedrooms downstairs, shared large bathroom downstairs and powder room upstairs) to be spacious and comfortable. Everything was clean, well appointed (the local coffee was much. appreciated!), clear communication with host, and great location close to town. We’d definitely stay again!

We loved our time at this place! So much natural light and everything was really nice as the pictures show. The location is perfect with how centrally located it is. There is some traffic noise when sitting on the deck due to being extremely close to a fairly busy road, but that didn't bother us much. We would absolutely love to stay in this place again.

Bright, peaceful getaway
Well equipped cottage to relax and enjoy the island life. We appreciated the attention to detail from the coffee from the local roaster to the calm seascape decor to the level 2 electric car charger. It was the perfect place to call home for 3 days.

Awesome Property!
Property is very nice. Close to but not right in the busy part of town and easy to find. Barbara was very responsive to questions. I appreciated the extra touches - coffee, toothbrush/paste just in case and a book on hikes around the island. I was ready to move in permanently but Mom said I had to go back to work :-)

This place was an excellent choice! The owners went above and beyond in welcoming anyone renting their home!
Lots of nice touches from helpful documentation, thoughtful toiletries, plenty of towels, blankets/pillows, comfy beds, fans, to fully stocked kitchenware with generous coffee and tea bar and more. I could go on and on about the extras, they thought of everything! Location was perfect for us.. Just outside of town, yet walkable if you are able.

31 Cedar St. is one of the best VRBO properties we have rented. Well appointed, high quality linens, incredibly clean and organized, attention to the little extras that make all the difference. Rarely do VRBO rentals provide a resort level stay - what a treat to enjoy such high quality. I wish all VRBO properties held themselves to these standards. Excellent vacation!

The property was exactly as advertised. A short walk from the heart of town. The owner thought of everything. The attention to detail was evident. Extremely clean and neat. The views from the deck were awesome.

Chefs paradise
I grew up on the island and was visiting my parent’s with my mother in law and her sisters who are chefs who travel the world. We have never seen a rental home who have thought of everything ! The kitchen was stocked with all kitchen tools and bathrooms and bedrooms were stocked like a luxury hotel! Towels, shampoo and even towels to lay out on the deck.
The deck has an amazing view of Jackson’s beach , property close to town, birds chirping and nesting around the house made it even more enjoyable. We got to BBQ and enjoy morning coffees and birdwatching. Approved by an islander and my guests !

Wonderful Stay in Friday Harbor
Barbara’s space was perfect for the four of us. We enjoyed the water view from the balcony, the open floor plan which was perfect for cooking and entertaining, the comfy beds in both bedrooms, and the amazing location close to everything Friday Harbor has to offer. There were thoughtful details in place to make our stay comfortable and check-in and check-out were a breeze. Barbara was such a kind and communicative host. Lovely Proprty
Our family of five stayed in this home for three nights and wished that we could have stayed much longer. It is a lovely home in a very convenient location. Everything was sparkling clean with lots of extra touches. We have stayed in many homes on VRBO and Airbnb and we would highly recommend this home.

My family and I had a great time at The Cottage and look forward to going back!
House: It's exactly how it's described and very clean. It's also stocked with amenities (robes, his/hers warm jackets, binoculars) that all came in handy. In addition, they have an EV charger and smoker grill. We really enjoyed BBQ'ing on the deck and taking in the views!
Location: It's very close to all the shops/restaurants in Friday Harbor (.7mi) with sidewalks the whole way if you wanted to walk/bike and a school with a playground/skate park about a block away.
Overall, we had a great experience and Barbara was a great host. Highly recommended.
