Wonderful getaway with family...House was lovely, everything we could have possibly needed as there. Pool & Hot Tub were enjoyed....

We had an amazing stay at the Finding Marlin house. The space was great for out family and we really enjoyed the backyard. The pool and jacuzzi were perfect and really well maintained. The location was perfect for us and we loved walking along the bay in the morning. Also a quick drive to the beach. There were tons of beach stuff at the house like umbrellas, beach chairs and floats that we loved using.

Comfortable property, nice to have a pool, adequate space, grill time, nice, quiet neighborhood- close to beach and bay. Grocery stores close, lots of activities for family (kids).

We really enjoyed our stay at Finding Marlin. Annette was very communicative before and during the stay. She reached out to let us know we could check in and made sure everything was okay. The house was even nicer than the pictures, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The pool was great - we loved we could all stand in it and play with the kids. It’s a great location near the beach, restaurants, and activities. It was a great experience. Thank you!

Finding Marlin is a fantastic vacation home! We loved the location near the sound and took several walks on the path that runs along the sound. There are several public piers to view amazing sunsets in the evenings! The house is a quick drive to several public beach access areas with parking and is conveniently located within a short drive to grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping. The home was clean and comfortable and was accurately depicted in the photos. We loved having the pool and hot tub as well! We were fortunate to meet Annette in person & she is delightful and made herself available should any problems arise. If we vacation in KDH again, we would definitely stay at Finding Marlin again!

Annette and Greg are the perfect host. They give you space but are only a message away! It was my family of four’s first time visiting the outer banks. We loved the experience and will be coming back. There are so many different areas of OBX we got to explore. Each area has its own kind of vibe and we’re interested in staying in all of them to be fully engulfed in the different experiences. However, Finding Marlin (and the owners) were so awesome we’re torn on if we should just come back to the sound of Kill Devil Hills! Finding Marlin provided everything needed for a great vacation. The pool and hot tub (which was already clean before we arrived) was cleaned twice the week we stayed. We all enjoyed both of them. The kitchen was well stocked with seasoning and cooking utensils. The house is incredibly clean. The furnature was nice. The beds were very comfortable (not too hard, not too soft). We had one minor issue with the keypad not working on the 2nd day but Annette and Greg got back to me in minutes and had the issue resolved. I highly recommend renting this house and exploring OBX!

We really enjoyed our stay at Finding Marlin. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood, close to the beach and lots of shops and restaurants. The pool was perfect to hang out in after heating up at the beach. We didn’t use the hot tub much since it was such a hot and humid week, but it was very relaxing when we did use it. Annette and Greg were great hosts. We recommend this house for your family vacation.

Finding Marlin was a very nice beach house and the online pictures are an accurate depiction of the home. The hosts were easy to work with and extremely responsive. The house was clean and comfortable and the amenities (pool, hot tub, fire pit, grill) were all well maintained and in good working order. The location was excellent since it was close to lots of activities and restaurants. Would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a nice relaxing vacation. While the weather wasn't as warm as we had hoped for our stay, this home was clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed. We enjoyed the hot tub and the firepit out back and cooked several dinners in the fully stocked kitchen. The owners were very responsive when needed and the house is well located/close to everything needed for a week's stay.

The home is located in a lovely community. It was quiet and peaceful our entire stay. My daughters and I took a walk on the path mentioned in the listing. It’s great if you’re like me and crave a morning walk or run. The path has public spaces along it with nice views of the water. The home itself was also wonderful of course. I’d suggest the owner replace a few small items that were showing it’s age but nothing too bad. The beds were super comfortable and the kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool and and hot tub. Which someone serviced as soon as we arrived and when we were leaving so I felt confident in the cleanliness. Home was well stocked and conveniently located to the beach, public playground, shopping, and restaurants which were all within a short drive. Overall we had a great stay and we look forward to returning!

This home was perfect. Nice and clean. The location is close to walking path on the sound side, which had spectacular sunsets. The pool and hot tub are an added bonus. We did not cook a lot, but the kitchen was well stocked. Throughly enjoyed our stay.

The house is wonderful, very clean and stocked full of games and activities. I wouldn't walk to the beach from here, you have to cross a highway to get there where the speed limit is 50 mph. It's way fine though, easier to drive with everything we wanted to take to the beach. We would definitely stay again.

Finding Marlin is a great place to spend an OBX vacation. Located just a block off the sound, the property is convenient for both sunrises and sunsets. Check-in was a breeze, as was communication with the owners who are about as kind as you can ask for. Being a beach house, we assumed it would have the usual "it'll do" features (we have become accustomed to bringing our own kitchen knives and can openers). What a pleasant surprise to find not one but two sets of SHARP knives, cookware in excellent condition, great furniture, and cushy beds! And the pool & hot tub were in A+++ working order. We may have shouted a bit too loudly while hot tubbing it because it was at the height of the Perseids, and man, what a show! I'm honestly sitting here trying to think of anything wrong with the place, and the only thing I can think of is that it would be great to have a mini-fridge in the ground level room for easy access to cold beverages while enjoying the pool. Clearly, I'm reaching. The place is darn near perfect. We will happily stay at Finding Marlin again, if they'll have us!

Finding Marlin was a great vacation home! We ended up spending most of our vacation lounging by the pool and hot tub. The beach was a quick drive away but we enjoyed hanging out at the house and relaxing. We also enjoyed long walks along the Sound. The owners were very responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend staying in this quiet neighborhood if you want a relaxing vacation!

Finding Marlin was a great little find- the pool was a nice addition! Everything you need for your stay was included and the kitchen was stocked! So happy to have found this place and our family enjoyed our time there. Annette was responsive to all concerns and questions we had- all around 5 stars!

We had everything we needed right here! The pool, the hot tub were awesome, it was just a quick ride to the beach, and it was stocked just as described and more. It was the perfect size for 4 adults and 4 teen girls. The neighborhood is great for morning or evening walks. We loved our little house for the week and would definitely stay there again.

We hadn't gone anywhere during covid, so we were nervous about traveling with our 3 little ones. After getting vaccinated we drove 11 hours pretty last minute to this cute spot. This house was a perfectly clean and decorated beach home for us and our 3 kiddos to spend the week. It was stocked with everything we needed to spend the week. Annette was so responsive to my million questions never having been to the area. The pool was perfect even in April for our kids who are from the North. They spent the week back and forth from pool to hot tub! The location is in a quiet neighborhood - they loved the book box at the end of the street, the bike/walking path along the water and all of the fun little stops along the way. If you are considering a trip to the outer-banks this centrally located spot was great and we highly recommend. Already looking to book a trip back because we miss it already!

From first contact to last Annette and Greg were wonderful. Booking was easy for our long weekend with our family of 5. The house is great, lots of room and wonderful balconies from most all rooms, and a really quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed sitting on the large back deck and watching the kids play in the pool. Pristine and spacious yard, Great pool, hot tub, fire pit, gas grill and everything worked well. House was stocked with everything we needed and lots of extras like pac n play, beach cart, beach chairs, sports gear, board games and many movies to choose from. Location was great, 1 block from the running/bike trail. We opted to drive the .5 mile to the beach and found Hayman public access with ample parking and outdoor showers to be most convenient. Only small comment we would make for the house is more kitchen towels and maybe a better coffee maker and grinder for coffee snobs like us ;). We hope to return soon!
