The listing stated this was a "vacation home" and "lake house" and reviews stated it was a "cute cabin" and "small house". Pictures clearly show the "porch" was screened in. In truth, it is a converted cinderblock garage and the porch is half of an unscreened carport with the host's car parked in the other half. The only thing steps from the door was the host's house and porch and commercial 3 bay garage. All of the outdoor furniture, swings, and hammock were too coated in bird droppings to be usable. The dock and chairs there were the same. We knew the lake was low and were not surprised to see a dry dock, but we had hoped to at least sit and enjoy morning coffee and a view of the lake. The bed was clean and comfortable and the AC could keep up at night, but struggled to stay below 80 during the day. The kitchen sink had a substantial leak. - This is the first time we have ever stayed at a VRBO rental that we felt duped by the listing. Very disappointed overall.

The small house was very clean. It had just about everything you would need for a weekend getaway. We were looking forward to fishing off the peir, but the peir stood on dry ground. The owners were very nice and quick to answer any questions we had.

These pictures are years and years old as the you had to drive down to the water. It was about a half a mile down to get to the water.

Very clean, had everything we needed, and steps away from the water! The host were so kind and very helpful! I felt comfortable and was the perfect peaceful getaway I needed. Very reasonably priced given the location and private lake access! We will be recommending to all our friends and family that visit Buchanan Dam! ~Krystal

This property was exactly as advertised and was perfect for a weekend getaway with some friends. The hosts were very kind and made sure we had everything we needed. 10/10 will be going back in the future

Stayed in this cute cabin for a couple nights while attending a family reunion nearby. It was exactly what we needed and not fussy at all. The cabin was cute, clean, and perfect sized and comfortable for my little family of three.
