Goat Island is a hidden gem right beside IOP and only accessible by boat. It’s easy to pick up people at the IOP marina. Although this island is primitive, this rental is quite the opposite! There is a fully stocked kitchen, fire pit, deep water dock, inside fireplace, outdoor dining area, gas grill, low county boil pot, comfortable bedding the list goes on! There are not many rentals on Goat Island but this is definitely the best! The host is super friendly and very responsive! We have come year after year and have so many great memories.

We had a great time at goat island! It’s so nice to be on the water and be able to enjoy the nice weather. The house was beautiful and was well equipped with everything we needed. We will definitely be staying here again!

We had a great time staying at the house on goat Island. It was over the Fourth of July week and we had a great view of the fireworks. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Lots of fun was had by all!

This property was perfect. We had a wonderful time hanging out on the dock and porches. The property is close to all amenities and downtown Charleston is about 25 mins away. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and enjoy all the property had to offer. We saw dolphins nearly every day and tons of other wildlife, including two Great Horned Owls that visited each night. We fished off the dock and booked a full day fishing trip with another Goat Island resident. We had a low-country boil our first night, and the house was stocked with everything we needed. We ate meals on the porch almost everyday. A note to others who plan to bring your own boat - make sure you are able to launch at IOP Marina and rent a boat slip for the days you want to head into town. Kim was a wonderful host and answered all of our questions quickly. I highly recommend this property if you’re looking for solitude but with easy access to Charleston!

Our family had a great time staying at this house on Goat Island. It’s spacious, the bedrooms are all a comfortable size, the bathrooms are very nice. The kitchen is open with plenty of space to cook meals. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the porch and dock. I definitely recommend for a no-fuss and relaxing getaway.

We loved our stay at Blue Haven! Our children love coming to Goat Island and this is now our favorite home! Fishing off the dock, s’mores by the fire, meals on the porch, games, treasure hunts in the yard…all memories we will cherish!

Best house on Goat Island no doubt! Modern house with everything you can ask for on vacation. We spent most of our time on the deep water dock which can fit 2 boats. We saw tons of dolphin, sea birds and even a manatee. We enjoyed floating in the water, paddle boarding and boating.

We had a great time fishing and crabbing from the dock, relaxing in our ENOs, eating dinner on the front porch, and exploring the island. The location is close to many fun spots we visited by boat. We look forward to booking another stay soon!

We came to Goat Island for our Sons Wedding We had six adults and our grandkids The Beds are clean and Comfy We had access to a fire pit all kinds of outside cooking, fishing and swimming Our own dock for our boat Plenty of room to run around on the lawn and a trail path behind the house to explore the flats A Huge front porch with a beautiful breeze to sit and watch the boats go by if you didn’t want to do anything but sit too The homeowners are super nice and very informative All the comfort of home But in Paradise!! We had a wonderful stay on Goat Island. The porch is the best spot to cozy up and watch the fog roll in and to listen to the rain! Of course the dock is perfect for the warmer sunny days! Thank you, Kim and Mike for a great vacation!

Property was as described. Because you are on an island, you must have a boat for transportation. The weather was quite chilly the week we were there, so we’re not able to enjoy boating as much as planned. Since this was a family vacation, we enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving together touring the Charleston area while living on an island.

Owner of this property was extremely responsive to our communications and the property was set up perfectly for our fishing trip. We loved hanging out by the fire pit at night and having the equipment to do a true low country boil was a huge bonus.

Beautiful house, great dock, perfect location. Loved the privacy, the fire pit and the updated amenities. Great breakfast and lunch options at the IOP Marina grill. Highly recommended. We will be back!

Even better than we expected! Check in was a breeze, communication was a piece of cake, and the house was perfect for our group (2 families with 4 teenagers). The kitchen was well supplied. There was lots of fishing, walking/exploring the island and games by the fire.

Awesome property with plenty of space to hangout, fish, tie up a couple boats and enjoy the water! Kim was great and had the property ready for us upon arrival. Communication was very good. I would recommend this for a nice little retreat with friends or family.

We had a wonderful time at goat island. The house is clean, updated and so Relaxing. We loved swimming off the dock, fishing, boating to islands and hanging around the fire pit with friends and family. We definitely hope to be back next summer. Thank you!

The house was amazing!! We spent a week there and enjoyed every minute of it!! The dock is amazing and even at low tide you can still get in and out (low tide it shallow so you have to be careful)! It was peaceful, relaxing and a great way to spend a week with family and friends. Parking is easy at IOP marina, and it was easy to pick up friends who came out for the day. I highly recommend this house!! The owners were fantastic to work with and very responsive with any questions we had!!

It was everything our family could have hoped for. Kim and her family were extremely accommodating. Navigation on and off the island can be a bit tricky. But there are ways that it can be done.

We had a wonderful time, the house was above and beyond our expectations! The kids had a blast our youngest cried not wanting to leave! We will definitely be back!!

Excellent from start to finish. Hosts were very friendly and helpful with all questions we had. The house was perfect. Fully stocked with comfy beds and decorated very nicely. We caught crabs off of the dock and did a crab boil which was one of our favorite nights. Nights around the fire pit with s’mores were so much fun. The house is new and fresh. An A+ vacation spot!

Cannot say enough about our stay at Blue Haven. The second we got checked in through the property owners it was the start to a wonderful week. House was in immaculate shape. Cleanliness was outstanding. And the owners themselves were so helpful and super kind! We all have already planned on going back next year. Cannot wait!

We have stayed at other Goat Island properties in the past and this was by far the cleanest and well appointed. Fire pit, lights, dock, porch and open kitchen/LR were easily enjoyed by all 10 of us at the same time. Couple of small issues with dryer not working and a water leak were responded to promptly by the owner. Could not get the gas grill to work but no biggie. Do not swim from dock even at high tide - first person that jumped in got 56 stitches in his foot from the oyster beds. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely spot to rest and relax, and the islanders are so very hospitable!!
