Unit was very clean! Perfect lay out and was exactly what we needed for our family group. View was perfect!
Downsides:
Sliding glass doors in unit were very difficult. The one in the living room was difficult to open/close. Needing to use body weight to open/close. Glass door in master bedroom, we could never get opened and could not use. Dishwasher didn't get dishes clean very well and they came out wet every time.

We loved the spacious layout and the common room was perfect for everyone to hang out. The location to the beach was awesome! The view from the balcony was beautiful! Felt at home and would absolutely rent again. Great location just far enough away from touristy areas, and close enough to restaurants and grocery stores. The only thing I would say was a negative was the two patio doors are very hard to open.

Problems with insufficient bed linens were not resolved. Needs some TLC in the bathroom sinks.

First room was not clean on time! The construction was Jack hammering for theee days super loud no rest breaks no naps. The manager would not return my call

Perfect spot and lots of room for our group! 2nd floor was key to avoiding elevator waits. Plenty of chairs at the pool and two complimentary beach chairs were great, too.

My parents, my brother, my husband and myself all just stayed here and all 5 of us loved this condo and agreed that it was our favorite place we’ve ever stayed at! It is so roomy and spacious and was nicely decorated. Pictures do not do it justice. We all loved that we had our own bathrooms which made showers/getting dressed so much quicker. The balcony was huge and had the best ocean front view! All around it was just such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay at. We’ve never stayed on Okaloosa Island before but now we will never not stay on Okaloosa Island! We will definitely be renting this unit again next time we come to Destin/Fort Walton!

The Good:
Loved the location. Water was beautiful. Ian the beach attendant was great. It was peaceful like we wanted but restaurants and shopping were only a short distance away. Unit 2001E was clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed for kitchen.
The Bad:
Sliders did not slide well. Extremely difficult to open and needed two hands and was still hard. Elderly might not be able to do it. Smokers were above us which made it hard to stay out a couple of the nights since they were out and smoke was drifting into our balcony. Could also hear toilet flushing and chairs moving across floor in early morning.

Great space. Very clean. Well supplied. The entire building is clean and well maintained. Vacasa sends tons of messages/texts to keep you informed. The only negative was that the sliding doors to the balcony don't slide so well; it takes a lot of force.

Everything you would expect when you rent a place like this. Staff friendly and helpful. As typical in most units we’ve found around the coast, you definitely have to put some strength into getting the sliding glass door open 😁. Great location and A+ for clean.

The property was even better than the pictures! 3 Bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms is unheard of, but was perfect for our group. I was also delighted to find that there were 2 fans, my family sleeps with a fan every night, but didn't have room to bring, so this was a wonderful surprise. Two beach chairs and umbrella service included as well, this was wonderful! Highly recommend! Would stay again!

Beautiful gulf views. Condo was perfect for 4 adults and a toddler. Each bedroom has a bathroom. Stocked kitchen. We did notice the floors needed cleaned. A quick swiffer cleaned it up. The patio chairs need power washed or painted but nothing too bad we still sat out there most of the time. Do wish there was a deadbolt lock on the front door, especially with the twin room beside it. I purchased a travel lock for the front. Overall I would give it 4 stars. It was easy to access and a nice condo for the week. We will be back

I booked this condo because it had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The pictures don't do this place justice. It is absolutely beautiful! I was a little worried about the view since this was our first time staying in a lower level floor. The view was amazing!
This condo was clean and very comfortable. All of the beds were comfortable, even the pull out couch one of our teenagers slept on.
Someone from the rental company called to check on us a couple of times during our stay. They also have great customer service.
If you are looking for a clean, spacious condo with a great view that feels "homey", this is your place!

The view was great. The distance to the beach and pool was perfect. Super close. This home needs an update in general. The carpets were very worn and stained. The showers need updated. It wasn’t the cleanest…there was a mildew smell on all of the pillows in the master bedroom. There was silverfish in the bathtub and the outside patio chairs had to be cleaned as the prior guests clearly were putting out their cigarettes on the arms of the chairs. It wasn’t terrible but I wouldn’t stay here again.

We enjoyed our first time at the Islander and would love to come back. The white sand beach view is breathtaking. Great location. Close to grocery, restaurants, and other attractions. The living room clock does need a battery. Master bedroom needs a bigger sheet. Boardwalk near East building could use a shower to rinse off sand. We were satisfied with our stay!

This condo was spacious and convenient to the beach! Thank goodness it is on the second floor so the elevator was not necessary; I would have been extremely frustrated if we had to wait on it all week since only one worked, but we were able to get to the beach easy breezy using the nearby stairs and walkway! The twin beds were pretty hard. The door needs an extra lock and the door frame needs to to be replaced. The balcony was amazing, large with tall chairs that were so comfortable! I didn’t love paying VRBO FEES AND VACASA fees, seems unfair, but the condo was wonderful, would definitely stay there again🏝😎

We loved this vacation!
The Condo was great! Amazing local restaurants and everything we did was within minutes away. Saw dolphins swimming right from the balcony, joined in the nighttime fun of hunting for crabs on the beach ( one of the kid’s favorite thing to do while we were there). Seaweed was bad in the ocean but started to clear up as we were leaving. It made it hard to enjoy swimming in the ocean but we enjoyed the large pool everyday! Didn’t want to leave!

The condo was beautifully decorated and clean! Loved that it was on the 2nd floor- easy access to the beach without having to use the elevator, and we still had a great view of the beach and ocean! This unit is all the way at the end and there’s a boardwalk to get to the beach right there which is convenient, but there’s no shower to rinse off there, so we had to use the one that goes to the pool, which was fine. This is a beautiful condo and would highly recommend it!

Great location and beautiful beach
The condo was the perfect size for 6 of us. The balcony overlooking the ocean was great! Beds were comfortable and the 2 chair beach device was nice as well.

Great but needs extra door lock
We loved staying at this unit. The only thing is we wish that there was some kind of lock up high that could be locked from the inside. Our 2 year grandson opened the door and walked right out the door and the bedroom by the door is the one with the twin beds where children would normally sleep. Other than that, everything was great!

Great stay with a great view
Had a great time even though it rained everyday. Luckily we had this beachfront condo with great outdoor seating. We spent most of our time on that balcony just steps from the sand. The condo had great space, had everything we needed. Would love to come back.

Would stay at the Islander again!
Clean, comfortable, and spacious. I really liked that there were two king beds and that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Although we didn’t use the room with the twin beds for sleeping, I imagine it would fit a full size bed that some people may prefer.
My only feedback is that the drains were extremely slow to drain in all three showers. Also if you are traveling with small kids, the door uses a keyless entry with no deadbolt or latch making it really easy for your child to open the door. My two year old figured it out fast!

Beach Perfect!
We loved the convenience of this corner suite being 2 floors up (no need to take elevator), and directly next to walkway to beach. The beach is literally your back yard. The home was nice and cozy with all things needed. I only dropped a star because I'm a germaphobe and prefer leather furniture that can be wiped clean. I compensated by covering couch and lounge chairs w/ sheets. It would have been nice to have at least one (or both) of the twin beds to be full-size beds instead. HOWEVER, we truly enjoyed our stay!

The condo was amazing! Very well set up and the view was outstanding! Would definitely come back to visit again. Only suggestion is to fix the front door. The frame was cracked and could use a deadbolt for security. Other than that perfection!

Wedding trip, my son got married
The condo was excellent, very clean, and we loved the access to the pool & ocean. The balcony was great, and the remodeling was beautiful. The beds slept great. Thank you for the use of the condo. It was the most memorable trip for me since my son was married on the beach.
