We rented this lake front property with friends and children for five nights. When we arrived at the property there is absolutely no access to Canyon Lake from this property. There is no kayaks no JetSki’s no paddleboard’s and the boat ramps were locked none of that was usable because there is no water. The day after we checked in I contacted the host so she proceeds to change her bio on Vrbo and use one of my photos showing that the lake is low. The lake is not low there is no water at this property absolutely horrible I do not know how she sleeps at night taking peoples hard earned money knowing canyon lake is not accessible from this property. so sad we saved and saved and she could have cared less. There is a huge difference in low and unacceptable. I was more than disappointed but I tried to keep an OK attitude for the company. DO NOT RENT

The home is beautiful and well cared for. The beds are soft… and the activities and amenities are unmatched! Swimming pool, hot tub, ping-pong, pool table/air hockey, fooz ball, 2 TVs, lounge chairs, walking trails. Wonderful!!!

Had a great time here. Spent week of Christmas here. House was perfect for our family. Plenty of space and amenities. Hosts provide plenty of games and such for keeping you entertained inside and outside. Large outdoor space perfect for spending time outside with plenty of seating, games, and a fire pit. Pool area very nice. Didn't swim in pool (too cold), but enjoyed the hot tub. Lake water level still very low, but hosts are very honest and upfront about that, so we were expecting it. House still has a beautiful view and you can go hike around the lake easily directly from house. Pretty awesome spot for the money.

We had a great weekend staying here. We were a bachelorette party of 7 and it was such a nice time. The lake was super dry but it is what it is! The pool was great and outdoor games were a lot of fun. Beds were super comfortable and everyone felt very at home. The property was quiet and it was the perfect getaway from the city!

The house was beautiful, the photos do not do Justice. Owners were very polite and timely. They allowed us to use their tubes. I would definitely recommend staying here. You will not be disappointed!

Great house, very nice owners. Furniture nice, stylish and comfortable. Great deck, pool, hot tub and outdoor gathering area. Even in heat of summer. Check lake levels, lake was way low and not accessible from the house at this time. If your going for lake access this one. If the house, for views and cool breeze and nice outdoor area this on has it. Kitchen a bit small and tight, but worked for the family. Lots of games to play, worked well with our 20 month old grand daughter.

The positives: House itself was amazing. Gorgeous, clean, lots of amenities. Awesome pool. Sellers were very responsive and when something was broken they came by right away to fix it. All that said, we booked this property specifically because we wanted a lake house with easy access to the water. (We were planning to kayak & paddleboard every morning.) Turns out that, due to the drought, the lake is SIGNIFICANTLY lower now than when the photos were taken. It took us 20+ minutes to walk from the house to the water's edge. Even though the sellers had moved the kayaks closer to the water compared to where they used to be, we were still unable to use them because trying to carry them across the remaining distance in the muddy, squelchy terrain was too difficult. I understand that the low lake-level is not the fault of the sellers, but they should have updated the photos or added a note informing people of the low water level and making clear that it would be a 20 minute walk to get to the lake. When we reached out to the seller to respectfully request a small/partial refund for this misrepresentation they did not reply to our message but rather flagged our VRBO account claiming that we were trying to extort them for a good review. That was not our intention whatsoever. It was a shame about the lake because otherwise the house was truly lovely. I highly recommend the property for anyone who simply wants a VIEW of a lake but doesn’t care about having easy/close lake access.

We had so much fun here ! The lake views were beautiful . Kayaks and paddle boards were provided , but the lake levels being so low was a bummer . It was a bit of a hike down to the water, and the ground was pretty murky and muddy so we didn’t use the lake at all. We ended up going to a nearby park to access the lake. The pool was a godsend! Spent so much time hanging out on the deck and in the pool. Otherwise, The house itself was great. Comfy beds and clean bathrooms, great kitchen and wifi worked well. Thanks for a great stay!

It was a beautiful property, we were just hoping we’d be able to get in the lake since in the pictures it was right in the back yard, but due to the drought there’s no lake access.

Our family had a great time. The pool and hot tub were clean, the house was the right size for our group, and there were plenty of things for all age groups to enjoy - especially the air hockey table and board games. The extra water shoes and life jackets were also a plus so that we didn't have to pack them. Couldn't have been better!

This home was clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. Plus it had a lovely pool, patio, and amenities.

The house is a perfect place for anyone who wants to getaway! There is something for everyone and the owners are very attentive and available for any questions.

What a beautiful property! I would say the details and amenities were the extra touch that made the trip (tumblers to use for the pool, floats available to use, life jackets of all sizes, nice shampoo to use, games to use in the game room etc). The view from the patio was outstanding. I will say the neighbors' houses are closer than I expected; however, not intrusive or bothersome. It was a fantastic trip and all my guests enjoyed it. We would rent again in the future.

Wonderful place

I can’t say enough great things about the property and the owners. We own a ranch so things can ch she quickly, and Tami was very understanding and accommodating when we needed to push our dates out by a day. The house offers so many different activities and is beautiful with lots of natural light. My husband and I enjoyed sitting around the table on the deck, while the kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Tami was extremely responsive to my questions and responded quickly via text. The deer in the area were an added bonus to sit and watch. On the morning of our check out, our car battery was dead. Tami and her husband went above and beyond to help us with jumper cables and battery charges to get us on our way. We will definitely rent this home again in the future!!!

Great property, very well laid out and excellent decorating. Lots of amenities, but needs a deep clean. Dishes were put into the cupboard dirty and overall house had build up of dirt/grime.

The spacious home was well equipped with options of things to do with what turned out to be 3 days of rain and cold weather (late Nov). Great game room upstairs (which also has the Murphy bed and private bathroom). House had a well appointed kitchen including spices and also a grill for the family meals we cooked. We didn't see small tupperware, but there were a few large ones. Deer come out in the morning and evening across the property, be careful driving as deer appear frequently. We unfortunately didn't kayak in the lake as it was very low and very muddy to get to the waters edge but we enjoyed the hot tub. Property manager was responsive, the cell service is spotty at times, so we are glad we had saved their phone number pre-trip. We had problems with the digital door lock, but they quickly assisted us. Great stay! Highly recommend.

Lovely and extremely well stocked home in a beautiful location. Prompt and polite communication with the owners. Our family loves visiting Canyon Lake! We have stayed in over ten vacation homes over the years. This home ranks at the top!

Everyone said this was the best place they’ve rented. It was beautiful and clean. They also had many things available that not all rentals have such as cookie sheets, spices, Tylenol, baggies. The kayaks were so much fun. The pool and hot tub were great. The pool table was my favorite. We all talked about coming back. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home!
