Perfect spot for a college reunion weekend for 6. Great for staying in or venturing out!

Five of my friends and I stayed here for a long weekend trip during the Fall. We love Black Mountain, and this home is close to town. We were able to walk everywhere and Chris has town information, books, magazines, extra blankets, shampoo, conditioner, soap, firewood, hammock, sauna, steam shower, BBQ grill, hot tub, towels, and all of the amenities (sugar, salt, pepper, Keurig w/cups, filters for coffee maker). Just for planning, there is a large fridge, but no ice maker. Driveway has room for 2 cars max. It’s 3 floors, and a shared building, although VERY private. The cleanliness, amenities, and thoughtful touches made it an instant favorite in terms of vacation rentals!! Would love to stay here again!!

This is a beautiful house and the location is convenient to everything Black Mountain, NC has to offer. It's also a short drive to Ashville, NC. Chris is a gracious host. It is obvious that he cares about his guests based on the little extras provided at the house. We highly recommend this house for a beautiful, relaxing vacation.

We spent the weekend in Black Mountain before dropping our kids off at camp -- I wish we had planned to stay longer! The house is well equipped, thoughtfully designed and very clean!

Absolutely loved this property! Stayed 2 nights - 4 adults and 3 kids (aged 5, 6 and 10). Planned activities in Asheville so this location was perfect. The house had so many special touches and amenities - hot tub, fire pit, sauna, hammock and another fire pit near the sauna. Easy on/off location from the main highway and tons of walkable food options. The owner provided a great list of recommendation from coffee to lunch to the best pizza venue. We are already looking for our next visit and finding limited availability - and I can see why! We will definitely book again soon!

Beautiful home with ideal location. Everything we needed for a work trip plus a few extras. Great location, within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend.

Customer service and communication was great. Chris shoveled snow off the deck twice in one day (10 inches of snow). It was an awesome place to stay. One thing that should be disclosed in the description/ details of the property: The house is advertised as a property that sleeps 8 and it does sleep 8. However, if you have more than 6 in your party, you are charged an additional guest fee. For our “extra 2” (total of 8), we were charged an additional $450. Had I not spent so much time finding the place, I may have booked something else. It just seems that should be disclosed on the front end and not at the checkout. It was a great long weekend and very deserving of 5 stars.

A phenomenal experience through and through. Suffice it to say, we feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to stay here. Truth be told, we are few days removed from check-out and we are so ready to return! This house is gorgeous inside and out. We absolutely loved everything about it- the design, floor plan, decor, furniture and appliances. Furthermore, it was also nice to see Christmas decorations as well! As others have mentioned, the amenities here are plentiful. Although we didn’t get around to using the sauna or fire pit, we were able to use the hot tub, which in our opinion, was the most appealing. Who knew how amazing it’d be to get into one with outside temperatures in the 30’s?! The area, in which the hot tub was located, allowed for us to capture a glimpse of the clear night sky, so it was quite nice to see the stars. The string lights, which encompasses the area, added the perfect amount of illumination, which created the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. Speaking of relaxation, we absolutely loved the fact that everything was peaceful and quiet. We got some of the best sleep ever and I think a lot of that is credited to the fact at how comfortable the home made us feel. Also, another feature that I loved about the property, was the electric fireplace! I’ve never experienced one prior to my stay but was truly fascinated by the look of it and the amount of heat it produced. Again, quite nice to be sitting it front of one, on a cold night, while watching a show/movie on the provided Roku TV! As for location, the property is nestled perfectly in area where restaurants are within walking distance. The town of Black Mountain has a lot of charm and had everything we needed, activity and food wise. Chris, the host, was so awesome. He was very friendly, helpful and stayed engaged with us from the moment we booked the property, to check in, our stay and even after our check out. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and gave us so much information about Black Mountain and sites to see in the surrounding area. By the way, Mount Mitchell and Chimney Rock are great places to visit! Those views from up top were absolutely breathtaking. I know I can go on and on about our experience, because believe me, I can, but in conclusion, our experience here was nothing short of amazing. This is the only place for us in Black Mountain and we look forward to returning soon. Thank you, Chris!

Stayed here for a long weekend with a group of adult women and it was a great place to stay for adults. Great location in Black Mountain, everything was in walking distance. Not a far drive to Asheville, about 30 minutes from the airport. Chris was a great host and the house was perfect for our girls trip.

My entire family was blown away by this property. We loved the cozy atmosphere, the farm house kitchen, the large number of amenities including the hot tub, the sauna, and the hammock. It's the perfect size for a family of four! We will definitely be back. THANK YOU!

I came with a group of 6 girls for a chill/ mountain bachelorette weekend and it was the perfect house & location for it! Super close to downtown Asheville and the house itself was so pretty and all the girls loved it. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and overall we all mentioned how we would absolutely stay there again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Chris's place! You can tell that great thought has been put into every detail of the house for an amazing guest experience. We especially loved having our morning coffee up by the fire table while enjoying the beautiful mountain views. It was also nice to be able to simply walk into the village center. We left feeling truly pampered and refreshed thanks to the incredible amenities and are already planning for our next "intown getaway"! Chris is a great communicator and his properties are incredible!

We really enjoyed our stay here, perfect for our girls trip! Beautiful, clean, well stocked house & great communication with the owner. Definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay in Black Mountain at this property. It provided easy access to some cute restaurants and a small downtown, plus some good breweries. We have three children under 8, and the location made travel time to good hikes very easy (~10-15 mins)! The rooms were nice, beds were moderately comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean. If you are traveling with young children, note that the 4-bed bunk room is up two staircases, one of them spiral, and on the same level as the outdoor sauna (however, the door outside is locked from the inside with a code). The other two bedrooms are down the spiral staircase from there. Thanks for making our stay very straightforward with all of your notes and signs throughout the house!

My family and I enjoyed our 3 night stay in between Christmas and New Year’s Eve. The location just blocks from all the shops and restaurants in Black Mountain was fantastic. The place was as nice as advertised with great amenities (hot tub, dry sauna, steam shower, fire table, and fire pit (Solo Stove). Chris is a great communicator and provided lots of helpful information on the house and surrounding area. We enjoyed two nearby hikes in neighboring Montreat. The are numerous hikes within a 10-15 minute drive of the house. We highly recommend the place.

The Black Mountain area was adorable with it's own variety of shops, breweries, restaurants; yet we were close enough to drive to downtown Asheville and the Biltmore. Would highly recommend and visit again!!
