This was an EXTRAORDINARY place to stay at Carolina Beach. Every ONE of my friends who joined me on this trip RAVED about the SOUTHERN EXPOSURE!! (We talked about how incredible it was ALL WEEK.) We have nothing but praise for our HOSTS who made the booking process, OUR week long reunion together, and the departure process SIMPLE, EASY, and were so welcoming and knowledgeable!! If we could have given MORE THAN 5 STARS for an OVER ALL RATING FOR EVERYTHING - WE WOULD HAVE!!

Wonderful place to relax. Beautiful views. We stayed 7 days and were still finding things to do and see. Great area to vacation at !! House was lovely and very handy to beach access. Great hosts !!

We loved this house. It was a perfect family getaway with a short walk to the beach. All the amenities we needed were there including everything needed for a family beach day.

We had an awesome time at the beach. The house was great. It was exactly as advertised. It’s located close to everything at Carolina beach but not too close. Access to the beach is very close. Bill was very helpful and communicative. No problems with anything. Will be going back.

Property was exactly as advertised. Property was also the most well stocked VRBO I/we have ever stayed at. It had all the essentials from TP to paper towels to straws and batteries this was not expected and a nice surprise. Location was .9 miles north of boardwalk so close enough to visit but far enough that our section of beach was NEVER crowded. Property had an elevator which helped with our party since my son is handicapped and he really appreciate. Ocean and Canal views were great. Would rent again. Thanks to Kathy and Bill for letting us stay in their home.

This property is beautiful and fully stocked. There was nothing we were looking for while cooking or cleaning that this place didn’t have. It’s super clean and beautifully and comfortably decorated. The balconies off all rooms but one were thoroughly enjoyed by all. The beach was in walking distance and lots of other shops, rides, food, ice cream etc were a few minutes away. The owner touched base before and after our stay and went above and beyond recommending places to go for my family and friends. I really can’t say enough good things about this property and the owner. It’s definitely a must stay.

It is a great stay. It is the first time we had the chance to hangout with friends since the pandemic. The house has Plenty rooms for everyone to enjoy their spaces and everything you need you could find in the house. The location is perfect, very short walk to the beach.

House was great for families with young children. Easy walk to the beach and the home was stocked with a lot of children's items. Owner was great with communication and even advised us of an upcoming fireworks show we were unaware of. Had a great view of the fireworks from the ocean side balcony. Highly recommend.

The renting process was easy. The location to the beach great! Easy, non busy walk to the beach. One block from public access. Nice view of the ocean and intracoastal waterway. Short ride by bike, golf cart or car to restaurants and boardwalk.

We absolutely loved our stay! Im going to say it was perfect, and that is no small task as our family has not only a large range of ages but also physical abilities. The views of the sound were beautiful…perfect for enjoying my coffee every morning. The elevator was a life saver for my son with CP as well as bringing in groceries & suitcases. It was a huge bonus to have a wagon & chairs to take to the beach with us as well.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and we’ll stocked with everything we needed. Loved having both beach and canal views from the decks.

We had a small immedieate family wedding while we were there. It was the most perfect house, perfect beach, perfect day. Plenty of space for individual and family time. Great views with lots of pelicans. Comfortable beds, beautifully decorated. Elevator make it so much easier for my parents and for bringing in groceries. Great experience!

Just what the doctor ordered! The place has everything you need and you have views of the ocean, the town and the waterway with boats. SHORT walk to the beach so no need to bring a cooler full of food. Beautiful beach and not overcrowded at all. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

This place has it ALL! A fully stocked kitchen for home cooking, just add food! Tons of space inside and out, space to be alone or to gather as a family. A short walk to the beach, which is away from the crowds but close enough to walk to the boardwalk. The place has everything you need for a beach trip, chairs, wagon, umbrellas, boards, games…just bring your own beach towels and sunblock and you’re ready to go! Nearby restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. There are books, puzzles, and board games for some R&R at the house. Best of all, the owners are genuine, down to earth, very responsive, and want you to enjoy your stay. We had a party of 8, ages 16, 17, 18, 20, 22, 25, and two 40+ and it never felt crowded, plenty of bathroom space and living space. So, stop reading reviews and book it! Trust me, you won’t regret it 🏖🎣🚣🏻‍♂️

This is an amazing location that was perfect for fitting my family! The photos don't do this place justice. There were 8 people in my family that stayed here and there was plenty of space for all of us to hangout together as well as have our own room to sleep. The kitchen is well stocked for the nights that you want to stay in and enjoy a meal while watching either the ocean or the canal. Doing a day at the beach was also convenient and easy. You just have to walk half a block down and one block over. I would highly recommend staying here!

We had a great time at the beach. The weather was just right for this time of year, and the unit was perfect for our group of 8. We felt like there was plenty of space to congregate or hide away if needed. The unit was well stocked for the little random things you never remember to pack, which was very helpful. The beach access is a short walk away and is fairly private compared to the boardwalk area, which made it easy to keep our group isolated from others during this pandemic. The whole group had fun and wanted to stay longer. A sign of a good time!

Bill was great and let us know we were able to check in a few hrs early. House was very clean and views are amazing with ocean on one side and bay on the other. Favorite part was sitting on both porches. We enjoyed cooking a few dinners and eating out a few nights. Places are busy because of restrictions. We will definitely be back next year. Elevator was a plus as 3 flights can get tiresome but everyone got their steps in for the day!!

Super place. Very clean. Well stocked with all of the essentials for bathroom and kitchen. Grilled out every night. Elevator made the top floor easy for my older parents. Beautiful views. And I have to give a shout out to Bill who always responded to any of my crazy questions within an hour tops and then followed up with us after we left to make sure that we enjoyed the accommodations. Will definitely return for a visit.

Our group of 8 really enjoyed our stay at Southern Exposure. The house was extremely clean with enough space for us to move around in comfortably. We've rented beach vacation homes that we had to literally bring in everything we needed during the stay, but Southern Exposure was the EXACT opposite!! This house contained EVERYTHING making it feel like being home away from home.. The kitchen was so well appointed with quality cookware and dishes. The location was excellent!! We had a short walk to the beach and/or canal and a short drive to the stores. Communication with Bill was quite easy and he was very responsive with a good sense of humor. Our only downside of this stay was the weather, but we made the most of it still getting out to the beach between rain showers..lol. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would return again!!!

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Southern Exposure. The home was very clean, comfortable, very nice furnishings, and was very accessible. The kitchen was very well-appointed. Our check in and check out process was very smooth, and Bill and Kathy were quick to answer any questions. Overall, great place to stay!

This house is in great condition, very clean, plenty of room, and all the amenities you could ask for during a beach vacation - all less than a block and a half walk to the beach. The kitchen is well equiped for anything you might want to cook, and there is a grill (and extra propane tank) for cooking-out. The family room has a large TV and every room has it's own balcony with furniture! I don't think there was anything that we "needed" that wasn't already there. The owners provided 6 beach chairs, several umbrellas, a few beach toys - games, boogie board, etc. We brought our own bikes and had plenty of space in the storage locker to keep them safe over night. The property owners - Bill and Kathy - were super-helpful. They have electronic locks on the house and texted us the code right when the cleaning crew was done with the previous renters. Bill and Kathy were right there to answer any questions prior to our trip, and when we needed to make special arrangements due to a looming tropical storm, they made sure we had flashlights, candles, etc. and checked in constantly to make sure we were safe. All in all, we had a great vacation and the house and location added to our experience.

The pictures do not do this place justice. It is beautiful inside and out. Easy access to the beach. Owners were excellent with communication. The only negative we had was the parking due to larger vehicles. But, besides that we have no complaints. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.
