A very eclectic and bohemian style that was refreshing. A real home rather than a show property.

Low beams and doorways but that is somewhat part of the character.

The host was on call with any questions/queries that needed to be answered at all times. The property was very quirky and different. It was a good base for exploring, however due to being so close to Alton Towers there was a lot of traffic in the morning so just a bit of planning was needed to be done to avoid. There was plenty of facilities (cups, plates, cutlery etc) in the property to accommodate the 12 people it can sleep up to however there is only one shower in the property and two toilets, there is a bath which is handy for little children but this may be a problem for some if they all wanted to shower. There was plenty of additional things in the property for children like toys, a wii and some board games which was nice to see. In regards to COVID and cleanliness in my opinion I felt there could be a few changes made like the drapes on the four poster beds should be removed and the additional decorative cushions taken away. This is just my personal opinion and I understand it adds to the quirkiness and character of the property but it felt like these are not cleaned after each stay. We didnt spend much time at the property due to being out all day but was comfortable when we were there. The only problem we found to have was parking, its on street parking which is limited due to other properties along the street and that there are two pubs as well which on a weekend create additional cars along the street, it wasn't too much a problem whilst there as just had a stroll back to the property but unloading and loading the cars were not easy. It suited us as a group of 6 and it was nice to get away and explore the surroundings of the peak district.

Some rooms are a bit dark

The quirkiness of it was different . Really enjoyed the stay even though it was a work trip it was nice to get away at this time. I would visit again. Communication was very good . Really like the log burners . Thank you
