My family and I stayed at this home for a little beach vacation and we absolutely loved it. The location is just phenomenal. Right across the street from the beach and we loved having the pool. The house had almost everything we needed and when I reached out to the host regarding oven mitts he was super quick to respond and even reached out to his maintenance team to see if they could drop some off for us. The views from the home were lovely and each room accommodated us perfectly. The pool floaties and toys were definitely a plus and our toddler loved them. We had a blast and will definitely use this home again.

AWESOME 💘 Beach house ! Only steps to the ocean from the front door. Perfect views on 2nd & 3rd story rooms of the beach. Private Pool is just out the back door which my grandson loved !!! Everything you needed for the beach & pool was already there in the storage room right next to the outdoor heated shower. The pool is private to this unit only , so it was a relaxing quiet time to sit & play by the area. Even though the next unit is close we never experienced any problems with noise or saw anyone. Maybe just a "Hello " in the mornings. The house is very tastefully decorated, not to much decor to be dust collectors. All the decks have wonderful views, front & back with nice sturdy furniture. The inside kitchen is well equipped with anything you could possibly need for home away from home !!! Even had A cordless Vac , so i kept all the sand vacuumed up !!! YEAH !! Topsail Island itself is a wonderful laid back place. Even with it being the week before school starts back the beach was not crowded. Tons of open space . Just a wonderful salty lil beach town !!! Surf City is 👍 Erick the owner was the best !!! Every message was answered promptly or he called promptly if i ran into a problem. AWESOME 💘 PLACE, AWESOME OWNER 👌 5 🌟 love this place ❤️

Loved this place! Beach access right across the street, private pool behind the house--could not have asked for better! Be aware there are lots of stairs but was not a problem for us--may want to consider for elders. Super clean and lots of deck space for drinks and relaxing. Pool was amazing as it is just for this unit. The Sun-Sun rental was also great as we had minimal traffic coming in. Would absolutely stay here again!

Topsail is our favorite little island. We have been looking for the perfect rental for our family for some time. We’ve found several that were close but lacked one thing or another. This rental checked all the boxes for us. It was clean, great location, private pool and the host was fantastic. We can’t wait to return!

The host was quick to respond and address any concerns. House was as listed. It is a beautiful property. Close to the beach and convenient to local shops and grocery stores. The downside was that there was a neighbor who was constantly watching my family and sending misinformation about us along with pictures of us outside the property to the host. One instant which was not a big deal. He let me know that we couldn’t be on the dunes. I let him know that we grew up on the beaches and were aware of the dune policy. He then proceeded to send me a pic of my sister and her young daughters sun bathing in their swim suites as “proof”. To say I was livid to know that someone who was blessed to wake up and see another day and instead of enjoying life. Took pictures of my nieces and sister on the beach would be an understatement. Then I was informed that I had a pet in the house but he graciously waived the pet fee since it was a guest. My sister and her family had their own beach house rental that was pet friendly for this very reason and were not staying with us. They only brought their puppy over to meet new family members and were never any closer to the house than the outter part of the driveway and the beach. Other than that the puppy was staying at another property. This experience definitely has left a bad taste in my mouth. I’m just glad I didn’t see those messages until the end of my trip. I was there to celebrate my child’s college graduation and seeing those messages any earlier would’ve definitely ruined an important celebration for my family...and I usually don’t leave reviews. But just so you know. If you decided to stay here there will be someone watching your every move.

We loved the beach house and the location. The owners were very nice and accommodating. House was clean and we loved being so close to the beach.

This property gives you everything the owner lists on the VRBO site. Five stars: the location is perfect, less than a mile north of the bridge. Dining, ice cream, coffee, shopping all within walking distance. The beach is just 50 yards from the front of the house. The pool is perfect, a little funky set up but it's a private pool for this property only. The house is immaculate, clean throughout, kitchen well equipped wish there was a bigger coffee maker (Keurig only). The Sunday-Sunday rental period is genius as we had no trouble crossing the bridge on Sunday morning. Four stars: the listing for Savannah Republic is for a 4 bedroom house, it's actually an attached duplex. When we pulled into the address we thought it was a mistake but the pool instructions confirmed the pool belonged to us only. This could have made for an uncomfortable situation, as duplex neighbors had kids but did not ask to use the pool. The owner is super responsive, he responded to emails almost immediately, even though he couldn't rectify the LP gas and internet connection issues. Three Stars: the gas grill is brand new but we had an issue with a leaking LP tank on our 4th day which did not get rectified during our stay. It was an awesome grill that we did use the first part of the week. Two Stars, the internet connectivity was not even marginally good. The Smart TV runs off the wireless router in the unit which continually went offline. We were constantly resetting the router but it never worked for over 2 hours at a time and sometimes was down all night. We used our own cellular hotspot one night. Overall rating is 4 Stars only because of the couple inconveniences. We would stay there again in the future if visiting Surf City.

We overall had a wonderful experience. The best part of the home is location, location, location! It was exceptionally clean and we had all the amenities we needed. The pool is clean and easily accessible. The only critique would be make sure you're aware of the non-traditional and very early check out time, 9AM. We would visit Surf City again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this home in Surf City! Erick was so responsive and easy to communicate with! The house was great, and fit all of us very comfortably. Was so nice to be right next to the beach, and the pool area was so fun and relaxing!! We all agreed it was a perfect getaway for us ND peeps!! 👍😊

House is beautiful and was so clean at check-in! Beautifully furnished and so well stocked. The view is amazing and acess to the beach is so easy as it is right across the street. TVs were not very user friendly, but we've found that a lot of property owners are going with the smart TV platform so we're trying to get used to it. Just a note, as caution not a negative, there are a lot of steps. Obviously we know it's unavoidable. I only mention it because my Dad is 80 and blind and he had a little difficulty navigating the inside steps as the curve at the top and bottom which make them somewhat narrow. We ended up using the outside steps as much as we could because it was easier for him. Again, only mentioned as a word of caution if you have those in your party who might have difficulty with steps. Definitely wouldn't deter us from renting again as we loved the house and location. The pool area was so nice. A few more lights at night would be nice, but the ones that were there made the area so pretty. We thought the public parking beside the house might be a detriment, but it actually didn't bother us at all. Thank you, Erick, for sharing your beautiful house with us. I hope we have the chance to stay again in the future!

We had a wonderful week long stay in Surf City. The house was very clean and the location was amazing. It was perfect for our family of 5 adults and 2 kids. We are already planning on booking again for next year.

I literally cannot say enough amazing things about this property, location and host. My family and I had not had a vacation in over four years and after responding to the COVID-19 pandemic in our home state I was mentally and all forms of exhausted that existed. I am so thankful that we found this amazing place and cannot thank Erik enough for being so wonderful and ensuring that we had the best time. 100/10 recommend and we will for sure be returning in the future.
