Overall we enjoyed our stay at the BayView. First and foremost it is a pretty house in a great location. Quiet neighborhood with easy walk to Chesterman Beach. Very short drive to food. Great to have access to SUPs and kayaks. Liked the hot tub and the whole family enjoyed pool table. Plenty of space for our family of 5 and our dog. Loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Mattresses were very firm- some of us loved them and some of us complained about them. We thought the house overall could have used some brighter lights- it was pretty but kind of dark the whole time. I was psyched to have brought a reading light, but again, some people might prefer it on the darker side.
Our biggest issue by far was the smoke alarms. They went off every time we cooked anything. They went off when we preheated the oven. They went off when we used the toaster. They are infrared detectors designed to go off from heat or smoke and are hardwired into the ceiling 5 feet from the stove. So that means any heat produced in the kitchen sets off the smoke detector- and all the smoke detectors in the house are connected so it sets them ALL off. Even making toast before everyone else was awake was not an option. Chris said he was going to explore moving them, but the fact that they were hanging loose from the ceiling and covered in plastic when we got there says others have had the same problems. If they get moved or if you don’t cook I would highly recommend staying here.

4 nights. Beautifully designed for a stay with friends. Artful touches. Doors and cabinetry beautiful wood. Great ensuite bathrooms. In floor heat. No clutter. We prepared most of our meals. Everything worked. Setting is awesome. Weather was unbelievable.

BayView house was perfect for our family weekend. Lots of room for everyone to relax.
10 minutes walk to the beach was a bonus, for beach walks and enjoying the incredible sunsets.

Fantastic. Between the pool table, wood-fired sauna, hot tub and great kitchen there was lots for us and the teens to do all the time. beautiful location on the bay and a short walk to the beach.

We enjoyed another nice stay at the BayView House. It is very well equipped, quiet and with a great view of the inlet.

The location of this property was stunning, on the water facing into the inlet and just a short 10-15 minute walk to nearby beaches. The house was very well supplied with activities to stay busy inside and outside during Tofino's rainy winter season. There was a sauna, hot tub, paddle boards and kayaks, as well as puzzles, board games, and a pool table. The kitchen was fairly well equipped and the house was reasonably clean with a few minor issues. Be sure to pack toiletries including shampoo and conditioner as they are not supplied. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.

We had an amazing stay at the BayView house. Great location, gorgeous views, plenty of space and great ammenities. Love that all of the bedrooms had their own private deck and bathrooms, providing ample privacy as well as great shared spaces. Hosts were responsive to our needs and came by to check out the BBQ and replace a smoke alarm battery. The only issues we encountered were the *extremely sensitive* smoke alarms going off every time we cooked (despite nothing burning) and a missing ball from the pool table, but otherwise we had a fantastic trip and would definitely return.

This is the second time our extended family have stayed at this excellent property. Perfect place to stay as the location is quiet and well placed for a short walk to one of the best beaches. Well equipped and tastefully decorated

First, issues.
The smoke alarm in the kitchen went off every time we cooked. Bacon I understand, boiling water for potatoes I don’t.
A well stocked kitchen has more than salt and pepper.
It’s on a shallow tidal pool so access to water for play is high tide only.
The good.
Each bedroom is a master with its own bathroom. Great beds and pillows.
The evening view from the upstairs great room was fabulous. (Wish the fireplace was on the other end of the room so the whole wall was windows).
We took advantage of the SUPs and hot tub.
All in all a great trip with friends.

The property is located in a very nice location on the inlet side. Checkin was easy and the amenities and furnishings were great. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The house is fabulous but there are two problems that weren't addressed after we notified the company's representatives.
1. Dishwasher is useless. It makes a terrible noise and doesn't clean the dishes. We complained about this last year but nothing has changed.
2. Outside 110v electrical plugs do not work, not sure about EV charger. We told the rental representative on the second day of our seven day visit but nothing was done. We were able to charge our bikes using an extension cord to an inside plug but others might be forced to charge their bikes inside the house which is dangerous.
Other than those two unaddressed problems the house and location are fabulous. We hope to hear that they have been addressed and, if so, we will happily return again.

Beautiful, clean home with all amenities. Plus being on the water and having use of the Kayaks and paddle boards was a nice touch for the kids. Personally I would recommend lighting to the hot tub, sauna area at night. There is a step in the board walk and roughly a two foot drop into the bushes! We didn`t feel safe.

Bayview House and the surroundings were lovely, relaxing and so peaceful. We were fortunate with the tides on our last day to be able to enjoy an afternoon of kayaking and paddle boarding. The house allowed privacy and also a lot of space to gather. The hot tub was wonderful as well. I would highly recommend Bayview House.

Home was perfect for our family. Very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend. Loved the beautiful native carved bedroom sets.
Suggestion to the owners would be to add some extra towels in bathrooms, kitchen and placemats/coaster’s to protect the wood furniture.

Fabulous Stay
The house is beautifully built. We loved the house layout, especially having three masters. Heated bathroom floors was lovely treat. House was well equipped and had everything we needed to cook for 6. Large pantry to store all our dry goods. The property felt very private and the views are great.

Beautiful home in a wooded setting with views.
This is a beautiful home with excellent accommodation in four separate bedrooms with ensuites. The amenities are fabulous including hot tub, sauna, and fire pit. Unfortunately the weather and tides did not cooperate for use of paddle boards and kayaks but we enjoyed the hot tub and the sauna. The house is well outfitted including the kitchen. There are multiple TV's, pool table etc indoors. Very close to Tofino - just a short drive in to town and very walkable to Chesterman Beach. We were a group of four including my two adult children and the variety of things to do both at the home and in the surrounding area met everyone's needs. I would definitely recommend this property and stay there again.

Spacious Waterfront Getaway
A lovely home on the waterfront, surrounded by trees. Large bedrooms, each with an ensuite. We really enjoyed having the pool table. Very cozy, with a fireplace on both floors. We reached out to Chris about a couple items we needed and he responded immediately. A very spacious, relaxing getaway close to the beaches.

Another great time
We stayed at the place in November for our 20th anniversary. Came back with some friends and had another wonderful time. Beautiful place to relax and enjoy the area.

Great location and prorerty
We had a great time at the Bayview House. The house was perfectly setup for 3 couple as each bedroom was spacious and had an en-suite bathroom. We really enjoyed the sauna and hot tub on the rainy days.

Relaxing Stay on the West Coast
The Bayview as an excellent get-away for the family over the Christmas Holidays. The house was very well equipped, the hot-tub in the snow was fantistic, and we had enough room for the whole family. We have already booked again for next year.
