Great stay for year 2!

House is large so 18 people did not feel crowded. Nice touches, ie gate at top of main kitchen family room was great with a 16month old. Kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, pans etc Guest house was a terrific addition for us. Game room was great. We would definitely book this home again. Nicole and Josh were responsive.

Fabulous place to celebrate Thanksgiving and a 90th birthday. Great common spaces and everyone got their own room. The property is beautiful!

The house is amazing. So much space for different age groups to hang. Highly recommend

We were 18 people — infant, preschool, tween, college, and adults ranging from 30 to 76 — and everyone had a great time. The house works perfectly for large groups — there’s plenty of space to spread out but also lots of communal space when you want to be altogether. The views from the deck are gorgeous. We had a rainy and unseasonably cold week, so the game room, hot tub, and sauna got a lot of use. All were great and big enough for lots of people. The sauna is in its own building next to the pool, with a shower and resting area. There’s also a fabulous tv room right off the main living room for movie nights, with a huge tv and large comfy couch. The manager Josh is very nice and lives close by. He came over to introduce himself when we arrived and was very responsive when we reached out about little things. Finally, the location is also great. We ventured into nearby manchester for lunch/shopping, went for a hike on the Appalachian trail, and took the kids to Bromley adventure park. All in all, a great venue for a large group to have a wonderful time. We have already inquired about going back next year.

There was plenty of space for the 24 members of our family. The setting was beautiful. The house had everything we needed to take care of all of our needs. The managers were very responsive when minor problems arose. Highly recommended.

We stayed in this fantastic home with my husband's extended family, which included 10 adults and 9 children (ages 2-17). There was plenty of room for all of us, and we really liked that the kids could be watching TV in the media room while the adults were having conversations in the nearby great room. The grounds and views from this home were beautiful. We brought croquet and corn hole to play in the large yard. We also made great use of the pool, fire pit, and large outdoor dining area. The house included items that other homes we have rented have not- like pool towels, laundry detergent, dish detergent, toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo, aluminum foil, etc... It's so nice to not have to bring all of that with us. The property manager Josh, who lives nearby, greeted us upon our arrival, and we didn't need to contact him again because we didn't have any issues all week! For nearby activities, our multigenerational group enjoyed the nature trail at nearby Hapgood Pond, the summer adventure park at Bromley (alpine slide and waterslide were favorites), Pastime Pinball (we rented it out for our whole group and brought in pizza), and shopping in Manchester, especially Northshire Bookstore. I would highly recommend this home for a family reunion in the Green Mountains!

This place has everything a family needs for a great vacation getaway

We had an amazing week at this property. The house was exactly as advertised and the pictures were well representative of the property. We were told the weather had been raining the weeks before we arrived, but we were fortunate to have 6 sunny days during the week. We also enjoyed the wonderful cuisine of Chef Dave and we were not disappointed. He communicated well with us and was straight-forward, honest and prompt. If you like to golf, I would highly recommend Fox Hill in Ludlow. It's a little pricey, but the course was in fabulous shape and had some great holes. All in all, we had a great week with about 16-20 guests some of whom stayed all week and others for just a few days!

We were 11 team members celebrating our company’s 20th Anniversary. The house was extremely clean and large enough to spread out. We didn’t truly appreciate the 2 houses until we arrived. It really is 2 houses! The weather didn’t cooperate for us to enjoy the pool, but it looked beautiful. If you’re celebrating or just want a special meal, we highly recommend Chef Dave. He prepared one of the most delicious multi-course barbecue dinners we’ve ever had! We can’t recommend him enough!

We had an amazing stay at this property in Peru. Homeowners are exactly what you’d want - responsible, fair, clear & prompt communicators, and friendly. House rules made sense to me and were communicated well. I have a lot of respect for these guys and would recommend staying at this house other friends and family. Proximity to Magic, Bromley and Stratton was fantastic… we skied all three mountains and had incredible days given the new snow. Overall, I have nothing but positive praise for this house, location, and owners. Exactly the setup our crew was looking for. Only pro tip I’d pass along is for renters to bring some kindling with them (if they plan to use the fireplace) as the wood provided is passable for an already-lit fire but near impossible to start a new fire on its own. Looking forward to getting back to beautiful place again someday!

My family of 23 people (ages 1 through 66 years old) had an amazing stay at this property. It was just as advertised. Josh and Nicole were very accommodating starting from the moment we arrived early. House was clean, very spacious, and the "game room" in the second house was perfect for our teens and more. Kitchen had everything we needed. Would be remiss if I did not say that one of the absolute highlights of the trip was the experience of having the private chef, Dave, and his wife, Alice come for 2 nights to do both a formal 8-course meal and then a more informal family-style meal the second night. We adored David, Alice, and their son and cannot say enough about their DELICIOUS food (and great company)! We felt very spoiled and having a 3+ hr dinner in comfy clothes with breaks in between courses to sit at the fireplace was out of this world. If you stay here, you MUST have Dave come and cook for you. Would highly recommend this property for these reasons and many more.

We do an annual long weekend ski trip comprised of Dads and Kids. This house was terrific and as advertised. A lot of bedrooms and space for everyone to spread out. We all enjoyed the hot tub and the game room. We highly recommend the house. The Owners were accessible, easy to work with and provided us with a great and comprehensive manual telling us everything we needed to know about the house.

The house and the grounds gave us plenty of space to enjoy our time together! Game room and fire places wonderful & the bedrooms have enough space. The main house has 6 downstairs bedrooms all connected to a jack and Jill bath, which is very convenient. There are two separate downstairs living rooms in the main house as well. The basement game room & bar is in the 4 bedroom house. Everything was well appointed our family and friends had a blast inside and outside! We would definitely recommend staying here, hope we can come back soon! 🎉❄️❄️❄️

Plenty of space, comfortable accommodations, great for a large group, and very accommodating hosts!

The property was perfect for our large group with many young children. The guest house was nice to split up the group and there was plenty of room for cooking and eating. It was very spacious. The bedrooms in the main house are all connected by bathrooms which was convenient for children sharing rooms with friends. Josh and Nicole were extremely responsive to any questions or needs. We hired Chef Dave for a BBQ dinner and it was phenomenal! I would highly recommend him. He worked with us on a menu that fit our tastes and we had plenty of leftovers for lunch! The property is extremely close to Bromley for skiing and a easy drive to Stratton. There was copious firework for both indoor and outdoor fires. The only con was that it wasn’t summer so we couldn’t use the pool!

Great property for a large family group. We were as many as 17 and were extremely comfortable. Josh the property manager was excellent and on top of everything. Close to skiing, hiking, shopping, etc... Highly recommended.

Another wonderful stay!

The house is absolutely beautiful!! So clean and everything you could possibly need and more. Josh and Nicole are wonderful and very accessible. We had Chef Dave and his wife Alice cook for us two of the nights. It was fantastic! Wonderful to work with!!! I could go on and about how perfect everything was. Absolutely no complaints. We would love to come back!!!

The 12 of us had a great stay - the house was amazing, and the weather was in the 70's in November. We had a blast around the fire pit one night and then games in the game room the next. Our group needed a chance to get away and hang-out and this was the perfect spot and house to do it in!

What an incredible experience this past weekend at this complex in Peru! I have nothing but great things to say about our stay. THE HOUSE The property was perfect to hold our group of 26. Everyone slept in a bed, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathrooms and showers were good quality, and the rooms were temperature regulated. Our stay could generally be described as "very comfortable". The living rooms are beautiful and large enough for our entire group to hang out in and socialize. The kitchens have great appliances are up-to-date and the kitchens are well-stocked with anything you might need (and a number of things we were surprised were provided). The back deck is perfect for enjoying the great view off the back porch, and the hot tub, pool, and sauna were a big hit with our guests. The fire pit is FANTASTIC - we spent each night with most of our crew gathered around the fire telling stories. The hosts kindly asked in advance that we maintain a respectful noise level at night, and we were able to do so while still having a bunch of fun around the fire. THE PROPERTY MANAGERS We were so impressed with how above-and-beyond the property managers went to make sure we had what we needed to enjoy our stay. They were responsive and highly accommodating for the number of requests/questions we had prior to and during our stay. We had a great experience working with the property managers. CHEF DAVE If you're interested in working with a private chef during your stay, I would HIGHLY suggest working with Chef Dave, who commonly works out of this property and is well-familiar with the kitchen. We had a fantastic time planning out the menu with Dave, and the meal was incredible. We researched a number of private chefs in the area for our trip, and Chef Dave was a tier above any others we interviewed. Do yourself a favor and reach out to Dave and his team. Overall, the experience at this property was spectacular from start to finish. We've already started discussing how we can gather another large group for a future stay. We gathered our friends and family at the estate for a long weekend and it was extraordinary. The home and property are spacious and gorgeous. The beds are comfortable. The property managers are very friendly and great communicators. Chef Dave prepared wonderful meals for our group two nights in a row. His food was delicious and he was a joy to work with. We will never forget our visit!

We had the most amazing week here -and are already thinking about next summer. As all the reviews say, Josh and Nicole couldn't be more helpful, welcoming, and lovely. The house, amenities, and grounds were just perfect for our group (19 of us)-we had space to sleep comfortably, escape when we needed it, and enjoy time together as a large group. Can't say enough about this magical spot!

Unfortunately, my family’s stay at this wonderful property was cut short/impacted by a covid outbreak. Something many families have, sadly, experienced. That said, Josh and his wife are the best, friendliest and most thorough property managers you could ever hope for. Josh was on the spot when we checked in and was extremely helpful with explaining things to us and being available for any issues that might arise. I would highly recommend this property for both the house and grounds and it’s location. We hope to stay there again.

Easy, managers available and responsive. House well appointed. Lots of spaces to gather or have alone time. Lovely pool, hot tub and sauna. Loved gathering at fire pit, Hapgood Pond and market. Also Manchester and other places nearby…plenty of options! We had a terrific week!

This was a 12 day stay for a summer family reunion of around 20 people including all ages from babies to seniors. Everyone had a great time and the house met our high expectations. The huge living room and very long table outside on the deck gave it a community feeling with lots of places to hang out while giving everyone some personal space as well. We had meetings and movie nights in the media room. The pool was the main attraction for the kids. The kitchen and grills met our needs for cooking a few huge group meals. There are many great restaurants within 20 minutes, as well as supermarkets, and JJ Hapgood a few minutes down the road is great for coffee, sandwiches and pastries, and they catered a meal for us that was excellent. Josh and Nicole are great hosts! Some of our recommendations for what to do in the area are the Bromley Treetop Adventure Park, Dorset Marble Quarry, Tubing on the Batenkill, and hiking to one of the local falls. There are lots of local events too if you talk to people and check the local bulletin boards. By the end of the stay I was sad to leave. We fell in love with this area of Vermont and many of us were thinking about when we can stay at this house again, maybe in the winter.

Had a wonderful time in Peru with extended family. There is a ton of room - both bedrooms, but also places to hang out, play games and watch TV. Property is very private and quiet. We used the pool a lot - it was heated, but not warm - just at the right temperature. We enjoyed the fire pit for s'mores - there is ample dry/seasoned wood on hand. We did do a lot of driving back and forth to Manchester - about 10 minutes each way - for restaurants and groceries, so keep that in mind. The local market in Peru is very nice (and pricey) for coffee and specialty items. Like many others, we had Chef Dave prepare a special meal for us in the main house kitchen, and it was outstanding. Very highly recommended overall.

Absolutely stunning property with all the amenities you could ever wish for. There was plenty of space for our group of 12 and we enjoyed every minute spent here. The property managers are amazing and live nearby if you need anything from them; Josh came and took us on a nearby hike one morning, SO kind! I truly recommend staying here.

I rented this house for the weekend with a group of friends and we had an amazing time. The kids loved the pool and enjoyed making s’mores by the fire pit. The house was spacious and all the rooms were nice and clean, including the bathrooms! Josh and Nicole were very accommodating! Overall, my friends and I enjoyed the house very much. I would say it’s probably one of the best rental houses we have stayed at.

Great property! As listed, it easily accommodated 17 of us ranging from 6-80 yrs. ALL of us had a fantastic time away. Chef Dave lovingly prepared a beautiful Thanksgiving type meal one night and a smoked BBQ dinner the next. So scrumptious!! Highly recommended to take your vacation experience to another level! Josh and Nicole were very accommodating and easily available to answer any questions or concerns before our trip and warmly welcomed us bearing gifts when we arrived. The property is as listed, very clean and exceeded our needs and expectations. I would recommend this property for a large party and assure you that you will have all you need to make your time away extra special!
