Thank you for a wonderful family experience at your beautiful home. I set out to find a lake front home to accommodate 8 adults and 3 children with a boat dock. Your home checked all the bells and whistles. Plenty of room for us all to sleep. The beds were comfy and the rooms nicely decorated. The home was clean and inviting. We loved having lake views from all rooms. So awesome to look out an see our boats on our private dock. We used the SUP and kayak that was on site. Was so nice to not have to pack those for the trip. The sunsets were amazing as well as the star gazing from the boat dock. We enjoyed s’mores by the firepit and the relaxing atmosphere and views with our morning coffee. We saw eagles, osprey, bats and lots of other singing birds. We were able to park our boat trailers across the street from the house making it easy to keep an eye on them. There are lots of nats at this time of year. We found that if we left the lights off while we were not in the house it discouraged them from congregating at the doors at night. You will get a workout with the stairs. (I felt stronger when I left, 😆) All in all, we absolutely loved it here. 5 🌟

We visit Lake Almanor every couple years and this was a beautiful home, spacious and accommodating for our group of 9. The pictures make the patio seem small but it was perfect for a game of cribbage and toasting the sunset with my parents. The unique floor plan was awesome with 4 bathrooms, kids could hang out downstairs and we could be on the main floor cooking. The dock was perfect for our boat and fishing. For reference my parents are 80 and our youngest was 14. There are a lot of stairs but we had no complaints. We hope to stay again next year. I hope you have a great stay!

Our stay included 10 guests ages ranging from 4-74, and each of us irregardless of age had a memorable experience that only comes with a great vacation. The house was comfy with a great bunk room for the kids. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need to prepare meals for 10 or more people.The outstanding feature was the large lake front beach setting with plenty of seating and a BBQ. The house came with plenty of inside and outside games that were enjoyed by all. The older folks enjoyed the balcony with water views, spectacular sun sets, the ambiance of the forest setting, and a clear view of Mt. Lassen. Our host, Nicole, was available to take care of our needs and provided quality hospitality . This property offers the perfect setting for an exceptional family fun vacation!

This house was perfect for our annual lake trip. The home was clean and well stocked. The downstairs bunk room was perfect for my kids and niece and nephew. There was air conditioning units in the bedrooms but we rarely needed to use them since it cools down at night. Lots of space to hang out. We loved hanging out on outside decks. The dock was a perfect size for our boat and wide enough to actually walk on. We had an amazing week and would love to rent this property again in the future. Definitely recommend staying here!

The house was perfect for our family, beautiful grounds and location. Nicole was a great communicator and the entire process was very smooth. Would definitely recommend this place!

Great views and well stocked house. Only down side was master had no privacy as it was open to anyone who wanted to walk up. Other than that it was great!

Nice house, just steps from the water. Having the doc right there is key for hanging out, fishing or swimming. We enjoyed our weekend there very much.

You cannot find better on Lake Almanor! The property was perfect for three families to share a vacation. The downstairs separate kids space was great. Nicole was super responsive and an amazing host. Will definitely stay again on our next trip to the lake.

House is as decribed. It does have lots of stairs and limited deck space but it is very negotiable. It is close to the road but the back yard is where we stayed most of the time. Nice shade trees where we could hide, read and just overlook the lake. Host is a great communicator who answers emails/texts immediately.

The house itself is very nice and great for anyone who enjoys water sports. We were surprised that we started our stay with only 1 facecloth for 9 people and only about 1/4 of a roll of paper towels. Bring your own beach towels as none are provided. There was 1 bath towel and face towel for each person so this means lots of washing and drying. The last 4 days were very hot and the power in the 2 upstairs bedrooms kept going out which meant no fans up there. The house gets very hot and it is impossible to keep doors and windows open for a breeze because you get invaded by a million gnats. Be sure you keep the sliding door behind the kitchen table closed as the screen door doesn't close completely and gnats get in there. If you have to go outside to fix the tripped line for power to the bedrooms you will get invaded by those pesky gnats. Be sure you bring extra paper towels, kleenex and bath and swimming linens. Also, be prepared to go on a hunt among the 4 bathrooms for t. paper. We were lucky and had brought some of our own. It's a long ride over to Chester.

We had such a wonderful stay with all our family. Adults and kids! Every family had their own space. The private beach and dock are the best part about the house. There was plenty of space outside and so many places to sit. We brought our own shade setup and never had to set it up because of all the trees and shade. Many people mentioned the stairs and there are a lot of them but if you know ahead of time then it was no big deal. The three stories made it more convenient for each family to have their own area. We would love to come to this property again!

The property was wonderful. Within minutes I knew I would come back to this house. The location right next to the lake was fantastic. We could all go back and forth from the house to playing in the water without any concerns.

This home was beautiful and easy sleeps all the advertised guests! Communication with the with the property was amazing! I understand we are in the outdoors but only recommendation is for the cob webs inside to be cleaned and the house to be sprayed, there are a lot of spiders both in and outside. Other than that would go back and highly recommend!

Had a great stay! The house has a fantastic waterfront location and is super stocked with beach gear.

Excellent rental experience

This house has a great location. With the 3 levels it’s perfect for a large group. We had 12 people in the house and with the ample outdoor space it was great! Dock was perfect for our boat.

We had such a terrific time. We got up to the house late Thursday night, and everything was just as described by the owner. Check in process was easy and communication was streamlined via text. We parked in the ample space across the street as we had a boat behind us and the driveway is tight. We started the next morning with a relaxing cup (or two) of coffee in the super comfy chairs overlooking the lake. The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed to BBQ and to cook various meals throughout the weekend. There is a large refrigerator, plenty of serving dishes and bake ware, and both inside and outside dishes which was much appreciated with our small children. The dining room table was also large enough to fit the 6 adults and two little ones all at once for meals, which made for some great family time. The beds and rooms were comfy, bathrooms were very clean, and I loved that the showers were stocked with Shampoo and Conditioner. The back yard had a great little fire pit with a cover, two tables with plenty of chairs and comfy cushions that were located in the garage, and the doc was perfect. We had two boats that we were able to leave in the water all weekend which made it super easy to go out on the water when ever we wanted and not have to waste time launching and pulling the boats throughout our stay. The house did have a lot of stairs, but this was communicated ahead of time and was not an issue at all. I will say that if you plan to bbq and eat outside you need to plan ahead or you will certainly get your exercise in running up to the kitchen and back multiple times. The communication with the owners was great, the property was comfortable and fit exactly what we were looking for, and the lake was beautiful! Overall we had a fantastic weekend and have already re-booked our trip for next summer.

Being right on the water is great. Fishing, boating and kayaking kept us busy the entire time. Was great to sit on the deck and watch the kids have so much fun in the water. House is very comfortable, plenty of room.

Nice home

This place is amazing. Great views and access to the lake. This house is as close as you can get to the lake and just steps away from the floating dock (which is perfect for relaxing on all day or enjoying stars on at night) and the warm lake. There are 3 boueys to tie your water toys off to and the house comes with some toys as well that are in great condition. The location on the east shore is great and superior to the peninsula for several reasons, one is that the incline to get down to the lake is much less, Also it’s way less crowded than the peninsula. There is Lots of seating on the beach and a deck where you can sit and watch the sunset or just gaze at the lake. The house itself is very nice, classy feel and everything functions well. Nice big bbq, double oven, huge fridge/freezer and tons of kitchen equipment. There is no ac as mentioned in the listing, but the lake cools down very nicely at night and the house comes with fans that are completely sufficient for cooling the house if you are smart about it. It is a 3 story house so obviously there are lots of stairs, this provides for great room separation for your large groups. Recommend bringing extra trash bags and paper towels. Great privacy in the house and on the beach, and is nice and quiet. The owner communication was excellent, she is very nice and helpful with any questions you have. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone and would book again In a heartbeat.

However the cons are: the home is directly on a highway so if your a light sleeper, forget about it you’ll hear every semi and passing cars. There’s also a train right across the street that comes around once or twice every day and night. The house has three levels. And although the house is nicely appointed, there’s stairs. Everywhere. Getting your bags and groceries up numerous flights is not recommended for anyone over 50. And not a great for kids. My daughter came for the day with her 1 year old and 4 year old and my granddaughter slipped and fell twice on the steep hard tiled stairs. And the baby kept all of us on high alert. We got lucky with a breeze the first two day’s, but the third was no wind and it was muggy and HOT with no air conditioning. Again not very comfortable at any age and sleep is impossible. You can’t tell from the pictures but the driveway was so close to the highway and extremely steep and small. With so little parking available I’m not sure if more than one small family could make it work without parking on a dangerous corner on the highway. On the flip side of all that, the water Right out the back was amazing, and the beach frontage was spacious and private. However I believe living area In this home would feel very crowded with more than six people.
