We have a great time at Pelicans Perch, the house had everything that we need, very spacious and very clean. The communication was Rory was outstanding, great guy. Very close to the beach as it says, very close to everything, great location.

My family & I really enjoyed this house! Perfect location, easy access to the beach. Pool was warm and clean and inside the garage there are lots of floats, beach chairs. The house was clean & the beds were so comfy. Kitchen has everything you need and more. We did have an issue with the heat randomly cutting on, but got intouch with the owner of the house and he had someone come out and fix it right away. Overall great property!

This was an amazing house to stay in we stay yearly at different beaches in Florida and this was one of our favorites management had everything you could possibly need and was super easy to work with and very attentive would highly recommend this home

We loved the location to the beach and the swimming pool. The living room area was comfortable! The negatives were many. I won't go into the details, but the overall interior and exterior cleanliness was poor. We sent a message to property manager/owner with pictures of cleanliness issues but he did not respond. The gas oven gave out a strong and overwhelming odor upon turning it on the first evening of our stay. Property manager responded quickly, but couldn't get anyone to look at it until over halfway through our weeks stay! We ended up wasting some groceries. The HVAC struggled to cool on the second floor making sleeping a bit difficult. The HVAC for the loft bedroom fluctuated between being way too cold and too hot. At one point, the temperature was set on 70 degrees but the room was 81. Property manager had me pull the thermostat out to reboot the system. It worked for the night! But it went back to freezing out the grandkids the next day. I didn't reach out to the owner again because our stay was about over, and I thought he should of sent a technician already. The queen bed mattress (bunk bed room) was bad. You"d literally roll to the middle! After a couple of nights, my son ended up sleeping on the couch so his wife wouldn't have to continue stuggline to sleep on the edge of mattress! The internet service was interrupted multiple times. The living room TV turned off on us during viewing several times. I ended up sending a message to the owner asking if he could do anything to offset the above disappointments? He did not respond except to say "have a great day!" We're pretty chill people who do not like to complain, but we felt we needed to share our experience with others.

Great vacation spot! A short walk to a beautiful beach, with a great pool for relaxing closer to the house. The property manager was responsive and helpful.

Just returned from an amazing week in Destin. The house is absolutely perfect and had plenty of space for 2 families of 4. The location to the beach, Destin Commons and restaurants was perfect. The highlight for our group was the private heated pool, where we cooled off from our days at the beach. There are plenty of beach and pool toys, wagons and chairs. The inside of the house is well stocked and very spacious. The owner was extremely quick to respond and even handled a mechanical issue late at night that was resolved early the next morning. Highly recommend this property and if our travels take us back to Destin we will certainly look to book here again!

Loved our time at the Beach House in Destin. Rory was awesome and easy to communicate with in the days leading up and while we were there. A few notes about the place.... Location: Loved how it was just blocks away from multiple beach access points. We took a day to drive to Henderson Beach as well. If you are trying to avoid some of the college croud during spring break season I would highly recommend Henderson Beach. Much more of a family scene and quieter setting. Pool: Our 3 kids loved the pool in the back! It was nice and private as well which was nice. It was a little small but our kids didn't care at all and spent a lot of time playing in it when we weren't at the beach. Loved how it was heated as well since some of our days were a bit cooler (in the 60's). Only comment I would make about the pool is we wish there was a bit more lighting for when we tried to swim at night/evening. House: Great floor plan, nice sized rooms, awesome dinning room and very ideal set up. The fact that Rory also had beach toys, boogie boards, beach chairs, bikes, and wagons was amazing!!! All together we loved our stay, loved the beaches, and everything the place had to offer. Communication and cleanliness are always 2 of the most important things for us when booking a VRBO and Rory was at an elite level with both of those things.

Truly enjoyed our visit to Destin and would definitely stay here again!! Quick walk to the beach and plenty of things to do in the area!! Thanks for a great stay!

We loved the property. Lots of modern appliances and touches, but still has a lot of beach house charm. The heated pool was fantastic for all of us, but especially great for our 2-year old who loves being in the water. I don't think there was anything we needed and couldn't find already present at the house. The walk to the beach is really quick, and at least a couple times we walked over at night without taking anything with us just to sit and watch the sunset. I'd recommend to anyone. The owner was quick to respond when we had questions, and was more than accommodating. Next time we'll have to bring grandparents to watch the kiddo periodically. haha.

We had 10 people and we had plenty of room. Great location and had everything you need for the beach. The pool is an awesome extra to swim at night. This was our second time staying. We would stay again. The property manager was great and very responsive.

The house was very clean and had plenty of amenities. Rory, the owner was very helpful with any questions we had. Great location with the beach just a few minutes away. We’ve been coming to Destin for the past twenty years and this was one of the best rental experiences we have had. We all had a great time!

This house fit our family of 10 very well. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and the pool to cool off in on very hot days! Would recommend to others traveling to Destin.

We really enjoyed our time in Destin. The house was lovely, close to the beach and other attractions. The pool was great and we enjoyed having space to both spend time time together as a family and have separate areas for relaxation. Great house, great host, very quick to communicate. We have been making annual trips to Destin for about 5 years now. This place has been our favorite place to stay! Rory is so easy to work with and the house is amazing! The beds are the BEST! We have 4 kids under 10 and the pool was perfect for them! We would recommend this property to everyone!

I stayed in this beautiful home with my husband and my daughter with her family. It was literally five minutes from the beach. We had everything we could’ve ever dreamed of in the home to use. The house was great! Also a short walk to the beach and near tons of shopping. The only thing we struggled with was figuring out the lights but that may be our fault 😁

Clean, well stocked and comfy beds. The location is great, just a short walk to the beach. Beach toys, chairs & umbrellas are even provided. Our family of five had a wonderful time!

This property had everything we needed, including gear for the beach. The short walk to the beach, fleet of bikes, and private pool gave us lots of options. Rory was a perfect host and very responsive.

Our group of 2 families (4 adults and 5 kids ages 6 and under) stayed at Pelican's Perch for a week. We had such a great time! The location is great, we could easily walk to the beach even with our younger kids, and the neighborhood cafes were a nice treat too. The house had plenty of room for all of us - the kids loved sleeping in the Perch and the bunk beds. Kitchen was very functional, and had plenty of plates, silverware, and utensils. The grill outside came in handy too. The front and back porches got plenty of use, and were great for morning coffee or evening chats. The pool was perfect for our group, would definitely recommend getting it heated if you are there in spring.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house! Beds were super comfortable, great size and very clean. We will hopefully be back! We used the wagon and walked to the pristine Crystal Beach. I was so surprised with spring break happening how clean the sand was. My 3 kids had a blast playing in the sand, riding the waves and eating yummy food. A Whole Foods is right down the road in case you want to pick up ready to go meals or sandwiches for beach day. We also drove to Santa Rosa and Seaside to do some shopping and eat. Heated pool was wonderful! This is a fantastic beach house!!!

We had the best family vacation in Destin and at this property. Rory was very helpful and always checking in to see how our stay was going. The house was very clean and had plenty of room for our 6 person family. The house also had everything we needed. I am looking forward to staying here again when we visit Destin again.
