Location is great, walk across the street and you are on the beach. Centrally located on island between both ends. Walking distance 2-7 blocks for stores, restaurants and shops. Watersports rentals next door. Layout of studio unit is strange, converted 2 bedroom condo, no windows, no lock on bathroom door just a hook. There should be a framed out lockable door for the toilet area so that others can still use bathroom area. A privacy shower curtain would also be good. The refrigerator/ microwave should be out in the bedroom area near the entry slider with a little table to sit at. The coffee maker did not work and there is no electrical outlet to plug the coffee maker or toaster into by the refrigerator area. Sliding door combo lock needs attention. A few changes would make the unit flow better. Shower has 2 shower heads. Building complex has 2 pools, ice machine, elevator, luggage dolly, underground parking garage and laundry. Overall a nice stay.

The air conditioning exhaust was detached from the wall. Duct tape kept coming loose allowing hot air to enter the room. The ceiling fan and couch arms were dirty but other than that we were satisfied. We enjoyed our stay. 😁

This was our second time staying here and once again it did not disappoint! We will be back again next year!

Beautiful

The description of the property didn’t prepare us for the fact that there were no windows in this unit. It was a clean place but with bad lighting. As it always felt dark. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the room as the weather was great but if we would have had a rainy day we definitely would have looked for somewhere else to spend the day. The neighboring unit had small kids that were very loud. Luckily the portable air conditioner was so noisy that most of the time it drowned the neighbors out. Not sure I would recommend unless there no more than two people for sure and you have no plans to be in the room for a length of time. It also looked on the pictures to have a little kitchen but no utensils or plates. A few cups but no where to wash them but the bathroom sink. It’s a studio I know but with no windows.

I had no idea that a unit on the second floor was actually on the third floor above the garage and we had to take the steps because the elevator was broken. It was very hard to find and has a weird one way driveway that you have to see to believe. Once we finally got into the unit it was fine. Thought I might have a heart attack lugging suitcase up but I lived. My husband’s recent knee replacement didn’t like the two flights of stairs either. But would it kill you to include a coffee maker and a packet of coffee?

Small studio but perfect for what my wife and I need it for. Pool is heated and may be a little too warm. Location is excellent. We would stay here again for sure.

The property was older but very well kept and clean. Several pools, excellent beach across the street, and nice sunrise on the bayside of the property. Walkable to restaurants and coffee shops. Safe area. The condo itself for our family of 4 (including 2 teenagers) needs for a short stay. We found it to be quiet, clean, comfortable beds, excellent shower, and easy to park. Although the unit has no windows- it has a patio door that faces an airy hallway with natural light and was just fine for privacy.

Loved our stay! Cozy room with spacious bathroom and two shower heads which we loved. The building pool was also great with clean and warm water, perfect for after the beach. The beach was a small walk away right across the street from the room and lovely as always. The complementary beach chairs and umbrellas are a very nice plus. Restaurants and shops are walking distance and very convenient if you don't want to drive. Our stay was short but lovely, relaxing and refreshing. Hoping to stay a little longer next time. The property was exactly as advertised. This was our second stay. Pool is warm and lounging area is protected from wind. Large two head shower and double sink in bath. There is a small one cup Kcup machine, small fridge and micro. Double bed and trundle that is an XL. Ice maker is by the pool. Directly across road from beach. Good Wi-Fi and TV.

Really loved how close we were to the beach and restaurants. Also loved the price. Highly recommend.

I was a little worried about the mattress as I read the reviews but, was pleasantly surprised. The mattress was quite comfortable, so either new or a new topper. If coming here be sure to bring your own silverware. Not even a spoon to stir coffee. Plastic ware would have been great. Otherwise everything was good.

This was just perfect for my husband and I to celebrate my birthday!! We stayed 2 nights, so not having a full kitchen wasn't an issue. We will definitely come back for a 2 or 3 night stay! The only issue was getting the tv to work at first, everything was all unplugged. But we finally figured it all out!!! Overall we had had great time and cant wait to come back!! And loved having the trolley stop right out front!!!

The space was perfect for what I needed and enjoyed my stay.

This little condo was the perfect size for myself and my two children. No windows? No problem! We slept great! The beds were comfy and cozy. No issues whatsoever with the only entrance being through the sliding glass doors. There was a strong combination lock for access. I never heard the AC unit outside the door that others complained about. Yes, this was the sectioned off master bedroom of a larger unit, but it was the size of a large hotel room with a large bathroom, so the price point was spot on with what you get. The double head shower was a favorite for after the beach! Speaking of beach, it is just across the road, not even 5 minutes walk from the condo door to toes in the water! There are beach chairs to use, beach umbrella and pool noodles were also provided. The pool is heated!! There are plenty of lovely restaurants within a 10 minute walk, or there is a free trolley that goes up and down the island. I’d say the only thing I might complain about was the low-end coffee machine. I did bring my own k-cups and creamer but I think it would be worth it to upgrade that machine to something bigger or nicer. So let’s face it, if that coffee maker was my only issue, I think we did just fine. 10/10 would absolutely stay here again!!

This property has some great things going for it. The location is awesome. It's within walking distance of the Bridge Street Pier (amazing for watching the sunrise) and restaurants. You can easily walk across the street to enjoy a beautiful beach--there are lounge chairs right there for your use, and a pergola for shade. The pool is lovely. The complex is safe, clean, and quiet. The condo itself is very bare-bones. It's the master suite of a larger condo. In the walk-in closet there's a mini fridge, a one-cup Keurig, and a microwave. There are no dishes or silverware. No freezer, so no way to keep ice unless you bring your own cooler (and ice). The owner didn't communicate with me until about 3-4 hours before check-in on HOW to check in, or particulars like he doesn't supply coffee for the Keurig so bring your own. There are no tissues, there's no clock, there's no helpful information about the area. I went at the end of October, and the area was not crowded at all and the weather was perfect.

Easy access to beach, property well maintained, no problems.

Ideal location, only a few minute walk to the beach, restaurants, and bars. Will had all the amenities for a perfect beach stay. Definitely recommend!

This is a small apartment made from sectioning off the bedroom and bathroom off a main holiday home. The aircon is loud as the ducting area is just off where you will be sleeping; and the facilities are basic. Not too clean. No bedside tables. Feels like not a huge amount of effort was made by the owner. The pool is great when quiet; but when we were there large Hispanic families on vacation took over the pool area and insisted on blasting loud music on portable speakers as they swam or walked around the complex. The reception staff are fantastic.

Everything was exactly as stated online. The place was small but comfortable and very clean. I loved the couch/bed. It was perfect for my 12 year old. We don’t spend much time in the room so it worked for us.

The Tortuga Inn was nice and the room seemed clean but the set up was rather peculiar. The "studio" seemed to be the master bedroom of a larger unit, along with its bathroom and closet, that had been separated from the rest of the unit by locking a door. The control for the main air conditioner was not available to the room. There was a portable air conditioner on the floor in the room. There was no window. The only opening was a sliding glass door that opened on to an inside walkway near a large, hot, noisy air conditioner. It felt like a cell.

The property is in a perfect location. It offered everything we needed and it was immaculate. The only drawback for us was there is no window or light to come in. You enter/exit through a sliding glass door that opens onto the area where the other condos have doors. Overall a great place to stay and the host was very responsive.

Very convenient location. Short, easy walk to the beach. The condo was the perfect size for the two of us. The host was accessible when questions were asked which is not always the case, so much appreciated!
