A fantastic property.the pool are with grass and a view to the beach is lovely and secuded. Dorect access to the beach was great. Enough room for 7 adults .short walk into town . Overall a perfect week

A very comfortable and clean unit with everything you need. The pool and outdoor area is great and was a key amenity for the kids. The air conditioning worked well. There are a four really good restaurants a few minute walk down the beach. There is a really good coffee shop and bakery right around the corner and a small market with essentials within easy walking distance. The beach is not great for swimming with smaller children as it gets deep quickly and the waves were large when we were there. It is also pretty rocky. It takes 20 minutes to walk into town along the road, but I believe there is a bus. There is convenient parking right next to the unit. All in all, a great place to stay.

Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Der Empfang war super freundlich. Da wir an einem Samstag Abend angereist sind, haben wir uns besonders gefreut, dass das Nötigste zum Essen und Trinken im Kühlschrank vorhanden war. Der Blick aufs Meer vom Wohnzimmer aus war wirklich fantastisch. Was ein wenig gestört hat, war die stark befahrene Hauptstraße direkt über der Wohnung. Der Strand war steinig, und der Ausblick nach rechts und links war nicht so schön.

I cannot fault this villa: It is beautiful and the host was the best we have encountered. The location is perfect for visiting the local area of Rethymno and the beaches on the south of the island. My reason for only 4 stars is personal: If you like the bustle of being near a large town, this is perfect, but I prefer a more village feel location. It did mean however that there was an abundance of restaurants nearby. Secondly, the sea was a little rough for swimming and there were some dangerous currents (the lifeguard does an excellent job however)- I think this was quite unusual for the time of year and there were days where it was very clam and the beaches to the south are beautiful and only a 40 min drive away. I don't think you will find a better villa anywhere and it is the best we've stayed in. If you want an amazing sea view you wont be disappointed!

We had a fantastic stay at this property. Marianna quickly had the rental cleaned up so that we could check in a bit early. Having fruit on a platter and refreshments available to us, she quickly went over many basics. The house was just as advertised and Marianna had it stocked with everything you would expect like kitchen utensils, pans, corkscrew, kitchen towels, bath towels and separate pool towels, etc. Additionally, what’s not so common she included laundry and dish soap, toiletry items, toilet paper, paper towels, a first aid kit, a welcome gift of a bottle of wine and some items available for purchase, like cold beer and wine. We definitely needed the cold beer as it was very hot and it we appreciated it was there and already cold and we didn’t have to carry it from the store. Markets, restaurants and bakery/coffee close by. I would agree with another reviewer that the outskirts of town was about a 20 minute walk and getting to the old town beach or center was more like 30+ minutes. Also, the beach directly in front was very rocky and hard to walk in unless you had water shoes but the pool was fantastic. When booking I would recommend the unit that does not border the public beach access and parking area. This was the unit we had and there was a steady stream of people with curious eyes. We had a few that we thought were going to hop over and take a dip until they saw us in the house. The beach goers also helped themselves to the nice lounges set out under umbrellas in the beach sand that Marianna provides for guests (there were notices hanging on the umbrellas alerting beach goers that it was private use). But all-in-all, if you enjoy walking you can take in the sights on the way to town and it’s beautiful overlooking the sea. Valia from the management company was very attentive and helpful; everything with the home went flawlessly. However, the driving service Valia works with was 20 minutes late at the airport (we did not check luggage so perhaps they were allowing time for that?), driver dropped us off at the wrong address - pointing the 6 of us to a door to go into. Ended up being a communal pool and we knew right away it wasn’t correct. We were, thankfully, about 4 dwellings and a BP station down the road. Then the same driver picked us up over 10 mins late (I made sure he had correct address this time - they are supposed to be familiar with all the properties) for our flight departure. All for €360 plus tip. Not Marianna’s fault.

Schöne Villa, super sauber, sehr zentral, tolle Tavernen zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Meer leider an einigen Tagen etwas trüb. Aber tolle eigene Sonnenliegen am Stranddirekt vor dem Haus!! Die Liegen sind reserviert für die Villa und immer frei, herrlich!!!
