This cabin was perfect! They had everything we would need and plenty of it! The outdoor fireplace area was perfect! The views were amazing!

We had a fabulous time at this cabin. The Mountain View was just gorgeous. The cabin was well stocked and there was plenty of room with three floors of bedrooms. We totally enjoyed the outdoor fireplace. It was a great place to gather and talk or read a book in front of a nice warm fire. We actually ran out of firewood but Chuck managed to get that restocked for us. The only issue we encountered was getting the access code for entry. We didn’t have it on the day we were supposed to check in and we had to contact Chuck to get it. I like to have the code a little more in advance just in case the cell service is spotty on the trip there and we have trouble communicating. But overall we had a great stay.

I loved the view of this location, the house had everything we needed for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful views. Very peaceful and quiet area. Enjoyed seeing all of the wildlife, deer, turkeys, turtles, and rabbits.

Our family of 6, ages range 1-11, were very comfortable in this cozy cabin. The hosts were very communicative and accommodating. Cabin had everything we needed, but nothing cluttered which was nice for having small kids around. Kitchen was well stocked, but not much space for pantry items, so keep in mind if staying awhile and eating in. Lots of cozy blankets, easy to follow instructions for fireplaces and TVs. (We should have brought a baby gate due to staircases.) They had a great collection of games, cards, movies for all ages. Streaming movies buffered a lot, so the dvds came in handy. There are two houses on either side, but we never saw or heard anyone else on the mountain. Cabin is about a 30 minute drive to downtown blue ridge. We recommend this cabin!

The property was better than advertised. The beds are 5 star. Every conceivable kitchen item was provided. It was 10 degrees while we were visiting: the home keep us warm like a big thermal blanket. The outside fireplace and grill are well maintained along with extra bottles of propane. This is the place to stay!

This cozy but spacious cabin is situated on a quiet road with views that are breathtaking from your first glimpse and continue to be for the entire stay. Whether your eating indoors or enjoying the outdoor under-cover fireplace, there is plenty of room for everyone! The cabin has everything you could want. We did some sightseeing in the area, but just having quiet family time at the cabin was best! We can’t wait to go back!

This property is absolutely gorgeous! The view is one of the best we have ever seen! The owners are so very nice and so easy to communicate with. There were lots of great upgrades in this cabin also. Great all the way around!

Spent 4 nights at The Overlook and the whole family enjoyed our time in the home. Made the mistake of following Google’s directions to get to the home that took us on a road that was nearly too much for the family sedan to cross. Directions from the owners is a very easy route for any car to manage. The one gravel section is better maintained than our alley in Chicago suburbs. It was hard to leave at the end of the week.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and well equipped! The views from the back deck are amazing! I look forward to staying here again in the future!

Property was very nice. 1) Directions from Murphy NC were in error and need updating. The directions list Jonica Gap Road as being a right turn by boat storage off of GA Highway 325. This is incorrect and caused us to get a little lost initially finding the property. The correct directions are to turn right off of GA 325 onto Loving Rd and then right at Boat Storage onto Jonica Gap Road. 2) The access key code was supposed to be sent via internet 1 week out. We didn't receive it until 3 days out and then only by calling the owner directly. 3) The cabin experienced 2 limited duration power outages during our stay. Not the owners fault. The owner was very helpful in contacting the local power and helping us with restoration and followup. In general, when we had issues with items 2 and 3 the owner was very responsive once contacted. 4) Appliances--the dishwasher upper spray arm came off the dishwasher during our stay. We think we correctly reattached and repaired it. (it looks like a plastic retainer cap was incorrectly installed and came loose. We found the cap, reinstalled the arm. To lock it in place, the cap appears to require a 1/4 turn twist after installation. The previous tenants probably didn't install correctly or report this?) The blender appears to be on its last legs. We had a hard time getting it to work correctly. These last two items ARE NOT complaints, they are merely a note to the owner to inform him of status. View was fantastic, all guests loved the stay at this place and the view and space and would happily stay at this property again.

All I can say is WOW! WOW for the view. WOW for the home. WOW for the owners attention to detail. WOW for the drive up to the wow view. Not for the faint of heart. The cabin was immaculate and extremely well appointed. Would not hesitate to recomment staying there.......just beware of the drive up!!
