The house was clean and spacious. Overall liked the property, but neighbor's said their car was robbed at night when we were there. The games in the garage were in need of some repair, but still usable and had fun with that. The air conditioning worked VERY well. Needed to keep the main floor very cold so that 2nd floor not too hot. Close to Lookout mountain and about 40 minute drive to white water rafting.

House has great views over the city & plenty of sleeping options for a large family. It was clean & well stocked with essential items. Teens really enjoyed the games in the basement. Stairs were a little challenging for senior citizens but manageable. Location is great for getting to a variety of events, restaurants & excursions.

We enjoyed our time in Chattanooga and at Missionary Ridge. It is a beautiful, well-kept property. The owners were easy to reach and handled an issue with another renter parking in our space timely and seamlessly. I was disappointed to find no closet access in the master bedroom and the toilet paper dispenser broken. I do recommend ironing in advance or bringing a board and iron, as none are available at the property. All in all, this is a great property for a short-term rental.

This is a great property with plenty of room for a group to stay together. We selected this because we were visiting family nearby and wanted to provide a larger meeting place for the extended family to gather (since lots of houses in this area are on the smaller size). This place gave us room to entertain the entire family and for everyone to be comfortable. We very much enjoyed our stay. Pros: * Owner communication: we had no need for any support from the owners during our stay. The check in/check out process was seamless. There was no clumsy key hiding/storing (everything is on a code lock). Check in/check out instructions were provided at perfect timing. * Size: We were able to host the extended family in the living area and kitchen (~10ppl) comfortably. There is plenty of room to move around. We found the size to be exactly what we expected from the pictures. * Kitchen/Laundry services are great. There is enough kitchen equipment to get you started with just about anything (including a crock pot). * Hot Tub! I forgot if this was originally part of the listing and no one had time to go soak, but there is a hot tub off of the back. This might be something that isn't mentioned in the listing so bring swim trunks. * No shortage of TVs. There is only one room (upstairs bedroom) that is without a TV (at the time of this review). If your group has a desire to watch TV, they won't be disappointed. There is even one in the garage. * Convenient location: This place is right between east ridge and downtown Chatt. There is easy access to the freeway as well. The road noise is a little higher than I would have liked, but I also sleep with the windows open (most of the time). Cons: * One of the big draws for our group was the ping pong table and pool table, featured in the garage. While they are usable, they are not in a good state of repair (at the time of this writing). The ping pong table has a large chunk that is broken (forming a large crack) and while it is still usable, we hesitated to move it from its location against the wall for fear of damaging it. The pool table struggled with being anywhere close to level. While this makes for some interesting behavior on shots, it doesn't lend itself to predictability. We only found one usable stick as well. To be fair, it is likely that keeping this type of a equipment (ping pong & pool tables) up in a VRBO is a challenge, given the wide variety of vacationers.

We ended up buying a frying pan and left it for the next guest. The kitchen was a gorgeous but we working missing some key items to utilize the space. -Also, looks some guests have done quiet a bit of wear and tear on the walls and furniture. Dented kitchen trash can, wobbling kitchen table, and scuffs all over walls.

Lots of scuffs on the walls, toilet paper holder ripped off the bathroom wall, and the kitchen table leg was not sturdy. It seems like the owner should check-in on the house more frequently. Also, we were surprised by the lack of basic kitchen supplies. There were no wine glasses or regular glasses-only mason jars and coffee cups. No regular frying pan-we bought one and left it for the next guests. Coffee pot was missing from the coffee maker. If you are paying that much for a property per night, these are things that guests expect. :(

The owners were wonderful and texted us at the start and end of our stay to ensure we had what we needed. The only suggestion I could possibly offer to make the place more perfect is to provide an ironing board and iron and install towel bars in the bathrooms. Even absent those things, the house was perfect for us.

When we were looking for a quick getaway to Chattanooga, I searched for homes that would allow a 1 night rental & happened on this gem. It is accurately portrayed in its VRBO ad & exceeded our expectations. It’s cleanliness, great design, great view, proximity to downtown & Ruby Falls are just a few of the highlights! Our teens loved the garage fun room—pool table, ping pong & darts—they gave this home 5 stars!!! We will be back for a longer stay in the Spring!
