We couldn’t have asked for a better location! The house is beautiful with everything you need. It is decorated and maintained wonderfully. I simply cannot find one thing wrong. We only wish we could’ve had a longer stay.

Super impressed with decorations and how clean the place was. You can tell the owners really care. We had a few hiccups but nothing major and they were addressed right away. One was not anyone fault but the good ole Texas humidy. Family really enjoyed this place and super close to the beach, we will be back. Thank you for having us!!

The property was very clean and provided everything we needed. It was so close to the water and we loved staying here. One of our favorite things about the house were the views of the beach from the top balcony. Would absolutely book again without hesitation!

This is a very clean, well-equipped, and adorable beach home, with spectacular views, so close to the beach! We were very happy with the home during our Memorial Weekend stay as it had everything we needed, and was just an adorable beach cottage! It’s very close to the beach (second row) and has beautiful views. The owners were a pleasure to deal with, and very responsive as well. We would definitely stay here again!

Met our needs, we enjoyed our stay. We couldn't get the streaming working on the up stairs TVs. Kitchen is well stocked and has a great view of the beach/ocean. Convenient store is right down the street so it made it convenient accessible with golf cart. The golf cart rentals are right there too.

The owner was great at communicating with us and the house is just as described with everything you need to have a fun and relaxing time. Do pay attention to the fact that you will be climbing steps to get to the house (as with all the houses in this area). But what awaits you when you arrive at the top is a beautiful view of the sea from the main floor and the upper floor decks. Plenty of room for your small family with two queen beds, bunk beds and a pull out couch. Easy access to the beach just down the block. With your beach parking pass you just load up the car and go. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We really enjoyed our stay. We spent the weekend to celebrate my Dad’s birthday. The place was nice and cozy. The location was great and the views from the decks were awesome! The owners were very nice and made check in and check out effortless.

My wife and I were looking to get away from the big city and just relax for a week at the beach. The Barefoot Oasis fit the bill perfectly. The owners have it decorated beautifully with a fun beach vide in warm tropical colors. My wife loved it! And so did I! We would highly recommend staying here and hope to again sometime. The owners were easy to work with and responded to questions quickly. We already miss being there!

A wonderful house in a relatively quiet area. We would happily rebook - a great experience.We booked a last minute two night stay, entering the reservation only the day before. Emma got back to us the next day, and was great to work with - answered all of my questions. Great communication.We spent mornings with coffee and kolaches (Dannay's are good) on the deck, listening to the waves. The beach is nice for the gulf, and not crowded on the Thursday we went - busy in the afternoon, but easy to find a spot. This was a great pick for a more relaxing getaway, vs a condo in Padre.The home is relatively well maintained, and sized well for two couples and two kids. If I had to complain, it would be about minor stuff (of the "air filter needs changing" variety), and we weren't amazed by the price - but we'd happily book again, so that should tell you something.Kudos to the Waldens for maintaining such a relaxing place to get away. :)

Great location, awesome host is a must stay and will be back next year

The home was clean and comfortable. Man, those sheets were amazingly soft and relaxing !! Our family of 5 included 2 college kids and 1 teen, and we all fit great. We arrived on a Saturday in July, so of course the beaches were crowded with lots of traffic going up and down the beach. The noise on the beach was not what we wanted, but that had nothing to do with our Hosts or the home. I think people just like being out now. (I would encourage Bolivar and Crystal Beach could limit the literal traffic flow on the beach). That being said, when the doors were shut we could not hear the beach traffic! The next 2 days were less crowded and noisy, especially Monday, and we enjoyed a spot reading books and searching for shark teeth. Kitchen was great and available with necessities. The a/c worked great too! (The 4 stars on listing and location relate to being in neighborhood with public beach access and what seems to be new homes built around since pictures were taken.) The hosts were very attentive to every message I sent and welcoming like we were long-time visitors. We really enjoyed the 3rd floor deck that offered a better view and breeze. Thank you for offering your home to some Abilene visitors, we thoroughly loved it. Steve and family.

Lovely beach house! Quiet area, very short walk to the beach and views of the water from both sides of the gated porch. Such a great place for my 2 small grandchildren to play in the shade. The hosts were so accommodating! Highly recommend!
