What an amazing time and experience. We had record SNOW fall for Thanksgiving we were able to SKI in and SKI out. The house was amazing and the service was great. Couldnt ask for a better home and service. Chris the owner helped us our prior and chris the property manger was top notch. He noticed one day the driveway was not defrosting due to some warmer temps the day before and he came immediately and fixed it one morning. We had 6 Adults and 4 littles under 7. They kids loved the house and loved the snow right out the back door. Thank you for opening your home to us. We would book it again for sure.

We just spent an incredible week at Renegade Chalet. The house itself exceeded our already lofty expectations (based upon the description and pictures). There was plenty of room for our family (three generations) and the accommodations first rate. The location of the house has several advantages. The most obvious is the ski-in ski-out feature. There is easy access to a simple trail and a straightforward path to get back to the house. The Moonlight Basin ski area is a participant in the IKON ski pass, so the pass that we purchased back east worked seamlessly there. Other location advantages include the beautiful views, proximity to Yellowstone for a day trip, and the ability to obtain a short term membership to the Moonlight Basin lodges which provide several activities, amenities and restaurants. I also have to mention the generosity and flexibility of the owner. Our party was originally scheduled to visit in January but the omicron surge disrupted that arrival. Chris was gracious enough to allow us to postpone the trip until April. He and his house manager were both easy to work and provided excellent suggestions for food and places to visit.

This was the perfect place to stay for a family Christmas. The home is magnificent and the ski in ski out was wonderful. This truly was a magical experience. The owner was so gracious and kind and the house manager was beyond helpful. If a five star rating is the best....I give it a 10. I could go on forever about the location, the amenities and the service, etc. Just know....you will not be disappointed.

I know this because I have been going to the house for years now and have been enjoying a mix of all the above type of trips. We went out to Big Sky for an extended family trip celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary. The age ranges were 7 all the way to 71. My sister and I researched many properties and this one continued to jump out at us. We reserved it and were beyond happy we decided upon Renegade Chalet! It just fit our group perfectly! You get two Chris' with this property. The Chris who owns the property was great. I sent him many emails in preparation for our trip our west and he always responded with exactly what I was looking for and/or needed. He provided activities, restaurants, etc. And, a multi-page guide to Renegade Chalet and the Big Sky surrounding area. Very helpful to us. The second Chris was the onsite property manager. Again, he was great! We had a dining room chair that needed to be fixed and he was out within hours fixing it (even though we could have lived without it). He was very knowledgeable about the area and things to do and see. He even spent some time on the phone with my bro in law before we got out there giving him the fishing updates. So nice! We loved this house and the area. I would highly recommend.

We stayed at the Renegade Chalet with a group of families (with teens) and had max capacity. This property is absolutely amazing. The house is as good as the pictures look. This is an a very high quality home and evident when you see the fine details that make it one of a kind. The ski locker room was huge and kept all the ski gear in one location without kids losing everything. Heated deck space allowed for dinners on the porch as the sun went down and viewing the mountains. There was plenty of space for all the people and we never felt overcrowded. It is located on a ski trail and easy to ski into and then ski out to the 6-Shooter lift. The owner was in touch at time of booking and then touched base to see if everything was ok. It made for an incredible place to stay for our ski vacation and we have great memories of our ski trip.

Great location, ski-in/out to six shooter lift. The house was exactly as advertised/depicted. The house was well decorated, everything in working order, great outdoor space if you happen to have warm sunny days. The ski locker was large.

What a fantastic place! We had a great time spring skiing with family and friends from all over the country. When we arrived, the house was truly amazing, exceeding our high expectations. It is beautiful, really welcoming and comfortable, well appointed, and the location is the best on the mountain. Chris was super helpful and responsive. We cannot recommend it anymore, and will definitely be returning.

We normally get at least 1 to 3 other families to join us. We usually go to Whistler, British Columbia but we’ve also done Park City, Utah. Thanks to Covid, we couldn’t do Whistler this year. So this year we chose Big Sky. This was our first time going to Big Sky. Let me just say that this trip might go down as our best family ski trip ever. The house was absolutely amazing. And I stayed in a lot of different places. I’ve stayed in Airbnb‘s in Jackson Hole, Waldorf-Astoria in Park city, Hilton and Weston‘s in Whistler, British Columbia. Plus many other places in Utah and Colorado. The accommodations and location of this home was better than all of those other places. This house was perfectly situated on the mountain. It is located in Moonlight Basin area of the mountain. The run that the house is on is called Smitty’s. This run takes you straight to Six Shooter ski lift. The ski room in this house was unequal to anything I’ve ever experienced. The size and convenience of the ski room in this house almost makes this feature alone worthwhile to be here. The convenience is unmatched. It was like having your own miniature lodge locker area. The heated floors worked to perfection in assuring all of your gear would be dry the next day. The home accommodated 14 of us very easily. We had a wide range age group as well. With 4 different families in this age group. The living spaces were very large. The hot tub was used often. We even managed to have a chef (Food for Thought) come to the house with a helper to prepare food for us every night. This made dinners a breeze. The chef was able to cook everything right in our kitchen. Big Sky mountain skiing and riding was great. Lots of variety. Not quite as much variety and size as Whistler, but very comparable to other American ski resorts out west. Definitely one of my favorites. What a great place to ski and ride. The 2 plus feet of fresh snow was the icing on the cake. If I had to use one word to describe this year’s family ski trip, and this home, that word would simply be “perfect”! My only concern is that when people start to find out about this place, it will reduce the availability for me when I want to go back! Lol. Lastly, the owner was great to work with. Very informative and helpful.

The kids loved the hot tub, game room and sledding available. The house manager allowed our groceries order from the Country Market to be delivered before our arrival. We will be booking another trip here soon.

ski locker was awesome. main room was great. fireplace, tv, etc. sonos never did work properly, 5 grown men all with sonos systems at home and it only would play intermittently. I would return and recommend.
