This was exactly what we were looking for. The cabin is located so close to the entrance of the park that made it really easy to have as a homebase for a little day trips. My Kids had a great time staying in the lofted bedroom upstairs. The bathroom and kitchen were small, but tidy, and all of the essentials were there. Just make sure you print everything out before you get there because the Wi-Fi signal is poor. It was difficult to access The codes that were sent to me ahead of time.

We wanted to see the sequoias. The location of the humble cabin was ideal, however the actual drive to the cabin was steep, full of potholes, and narrow. The main road access was fine. Overall a pretty location with pretty views. Location to eateries and entrance to the park was great. Only complaint are the smells emenating from the ac unit and towels, cabin overall could use a deep clean. Microwave wasnt working. Many light switches led to nothing.

Arrived at property at 6:30pm on a day that had a high of 110. Windows were open, wall a/c were running and curtains were open. It was cooking in there. Bedroom reeked of a body odor smell, never went away. Took at least 6 hours to cool down, not a great way to go to bed, hot and annoyed. Location is nice, crazy steep roads. Could use some TLC and toilet wobbles horribly. Microwave did not function.

The location to the park is great, the cabin was quaint, but needs some upgrades. There’s not really anywhere for you to “be” outside. The loft upstairs was great. The room downstairs and just outside the rr to the stairs smells like dirty cat litter. We all just stayed in the loft. It was convenient to shower and sleep. We didn’t spend time there other than to sleep for the night. The beds are comfortable, but we couldn’t handle the smell of the room.

We messaged the host upon arrival to report some items that were not in working condition but didn’t receive a response throughout the stay.
The cabin is basic, which we were aware of going in (we chose it because it is in the National park) but there were resources that were not in complete working order and some items listed in the description that are no longer available. There was a note left indicating these things, but no information provided prior to the check in.
It would have been nice to receive a response from the host during the stay.

This is just a cute little cabin at the base of the mountains inside the Sequoia National Park. Everything we needed was available and then some. It’s hot right now, so the little A/C struggled, but we just went up to the giant forest and waited for it to cool down a little. It was perfect!

First of all do not compare this to a hotel stay. This is a nice little cabin with everything you need to explore the beautiful national park. The location is excellent, a couple minutes within the park gates so you skip the line up of traffic going into the park. From previous reviews saying the driveway is steep, it is. However, we had a FWD rental and it got in and out with no issues, although we did have dry weather. They charged a reasonable price for what it is and we had a comfortable 2 night stay. There is A/C, hot showers, cutlery, pots, pans, fridge everything you would need. We are visiting from Toronto, so we didn't pack much and just got some food from a Target on the way up.
Now some improvements that could be made:
The beds were comfortable, however, we found hairs from previous guests in the bedding which was a little gross.
We visited in July during a heat warning so the loft area of the cabin was really warm, even with the fan going.
I would not hesitate to book this little cabin again.
4.3
It wasn't clean. The fan had one inch of dust on it. Floor corners dirty. Without talking about blinds…
4.3
This place was filthy, but cute. It had everything one would need to take a break from technology. The owner was quick to respond to questions.

This is was my first time using VRBO, process of booking was fine; but I wonder if they check hosts before allowing them to rent places.
The communication with host was null, they don’t even warn you that the only mobile phone provider that works in the area on AT&T; they don’t offer WIFI!!! Please tell me, in this time, who does not offer this basic service!!??
When you enter the cabin smelled like urine and sweat!! I wanted to call Vrbo to complain about the place, and request another!! But I had no way of communication at all.
This has been the worst experience I have ever had. I have photos to show how nasty this place was. If it wasn’t that I had been camping and hiking for a week prior arriving here, I would have not stayed.
This ppl should not be allowed to rent such a nasty place.
Completely disappointed.

The ad describes the property fairly well. It is a pretty convenient location for Sequoia National park. The main problem was the smell. The window Air Conditioning unit in the bedroom smells like an animal died inside it. But you have to use it because it is 100 degrees out. The towels smelled like they had not been washed in a long time. There were dirty dishes. It felt very unclean. The upstairs sleeping area stays warm despite air conditioning so one person had to sleep on the fold out sofa. We would not stay here again.
4.3
Just like the description suggests, this place is a no frills stay. It’s small and simple.
Probably the biggest downside for us was that the back bedroom had a strange smell while we were there, so we chose to sleep upstairs (note: the ceiling in the upstairs loft is low - best for kiddos probably) or in the living room. Several sets of window blinds in the cabin were bent and disheveled during our stay, but this didn’t really seem to be much of a privacy issue due to the quiet nature of the neighborhood and spacing of the other cabins. Cleanliness was about 6/10, there were cobwebs in several spots etc. The refrigerator gets cool but not all that cold (the freezer does seem to work well). The bathroom sink drained, but slowly. This is in the listed amenities, but worth noting: there isn’t wifi and cell phone reception is spotty.
Some positives for this place included: THE LOCATION (can’t say that enough), the reasonable price, the extensive DVD movie collection, and the view from the property. The AC also worked (it’s warmer upstairs, but there’s a small fan, which helps), and the host provided excellent instructions.
As a side note, there are some moderately steep sections of road immediately leading to the cabin. It’s probably best to drive a vehicle you feel comfortable navigating that sort of terrain in.
Overall, the place was adequate, and we realize you get what you pay for. In all honest, we probably wouldn’t choose to stay there again.

If you're looking for a small place to stay and are ok with a little bit of a rustic feel, this is the place. Don't get me wrong, you're not roughing it as I found all amenities I needed. Plenty of place to sleep for my family of five. Easy to cook dinner, and it's located INSIDE a national park. The place was clean and I have zero complaints. It was a great stay and if I ever came back, this is where I'm staying.

This cabin looks lovely and for the first afternoon or so we were happy. But sadly there was a really horrible smell in the main bedroom. To the point that I couldn’t sleep in there. So ended up sleeping on the sofa.
The location was amazing it’s so pretty and the views from the cabin were great.
We were also lucky we got to see a bear one evening outside the cabin.
But like other reviews this cabin is sadly unloved. The bedding is old and has holes in it.
The kitchen was good but all the pans are old and well used.
The blinds are all broken. The toilet also blocked easily.
But it was such a lovely location.

I read all the reviews prior to this stay. First of all, the place is very clean for what it is. Not real sure what the deal is with the hot water...we tried everything to get hot water. Instructions make it seem as if you just need to hit a switch outside at the water heater. Not the case...we never did get real showers or clean dishes because of the lack of hot water. Could stand to add some utensils and dishes. That didn’t stop us from having a blast exploring. ***NOTE*** there were critters out. We saw deer, elk, and were told that a bear kept breaking into the place across the road. The road in is very steep, narrow, and tight turns so if you fear those times when you can't see the road in front of you, probably not for you. All in all a wonderful stay.

I have contacted the host. This cabin, although in an incredibly beautiful spot, should not be rented!!!…..it is uninhabitable!
There was NO hot water. The toilet flapper was rusted and broke. We needed to put our hand in the toilet tank each time to flush. The window coverings were filty and inoperable. Kitchen sink handle was broken…. Needs a new faucet. Kitchen sink is disgusting as well as the dish strainer. The cabin has good bones but is in need of serious maintenance and TLC

This cabin is in a awesome location. Worth the money. Beautiful views. River is down the hill. The only recommendation I make is, bring extra foldable chairs. Bring your own linen (trust me on this one) bring extra cooking dishes if you are planning to cook. Highly recommended. We had breakfast in the porch and it was an amazing experience with the views. The cabin is full of dust but for a VRBO is expected I guess. I imagine people stole the owners dishes they also stole the grill, we brought our own. If you go in the summer, upstairs is so hot! The owner is awesome at communicating, she will answer all your questions. The cabin had a few inconveniences but over all worth every penny. Price was fair so I am not going to complain about the inconveniences, just bring your own stuff and you will have an awesome time. You have to pay 35$ to get in to the park. This cabin is inside the national park, there will be a long waiting line of cars. We got there at 12:00am so there wasn’t a soul. We didn’t have to pay and ovoid the line 😁

Me and my bff stated here for 4 nights. It's amazing. It was perfect for what we needed. The driveway is terrible would be my only complaint. They are not lying when they say it's rough. We did fine in an AWD SUV but people staying near the front of the property got stuck, blocking the driveway and had to call a tow truck. You more than likely won't have signal but that's one of the reasons we booked it. It was great to unplug from the world for a few days.
4.3
The place is well located, just at the entrance of the park, neighbors are super friendly and even helped us out when the power tripped.
But the cabin would deserve to be better maintained and cleaned up.
We are not picky but we doubt the sheets were cleaned, or had not been used.
There was a very strange smell in the bedroom and bathroom.
Cleaning was super light in the kitchen and main part.
All in all, if you are looking for (very) humble, okay, otherwise, look for another place.
4.3
Upon arrival we found the directions were clear, and the place looked decent from the outside. Once we walked inside there were ants on every surface completely covering the dish sponge, and the stove top.
The bedroom and bathroom had dirty sheets and towels, and there was trash in all of the trash cans. We had booked this day along time before hand, and driven from Colorado to stay here.
Luckily we were able to drive down the canyon a bit and find a different place to stay. However, that place ended up costing twice as much. It took us an hour to find a place where we had cell phone service where I could finally get a hold of the phone number that was given to us by the owner, that person informed me that they don’t work for the owner anymore and they urged me to contact VRBO as soon as possible.
I finally reached the owner, who sounded very unfazed and unapologetic, but did offer a full refund. Which was fine, but did not make up for the fact that we lost so much money by having to pay for a place that was more than twice as much.
The remote location of this cabin, and of three Rivers, which is the closest town, makes this all the more difficult, there isn’t cell phone service and there are not a lot of options of places to stay a lot of which have no vacancy on any given night and without any kind of service, there’s no way to look up prices
I know there are quite a few decent reviews but I wish so badly that I would’ve paid attention to the bad reviews.

This cabin was great for three night stay for free me and my friend who are riding motorcycles in the park. It's well stocked with everything you need. Has a TV and DVD player with a lot of DVDs. It's in a small neighborhood and is very private and quiet and has a nice view.
4.3
Nice cabin inside of Sequoia NP. Very relaxing, great place to disconnect as there's no wifi or cell service. Only downside was that the gas stove was not working and I did not have cell service to contact the property manager.
4.3
Based on some of the earlier reviews, I was a little concerned about my upcoming stay at the cabin. I was imagining a treacherous drive to the property, but it wasn't really bad at all. It was a little steep, so it would not be good in ice or snow. I was also expecting that there might be bugs, but there weren't any. The cabin is literally inside the National Park, so it is a great location. The air conditioners worked great. The setting is beautiful. I agree that just a little maintenance (like new blinds or curtains) would make a big difference in the cabin. Overall, we had a good stay.
4.3
The place and the location were great, but we were really disappointed at the state of cleaning. It seemed that only the most conspicuous parts were cleaned, we found large flakes of dust under the bed and sofa and the open cabinets were also very dusty. The extractor hood also needs a good cleaning
4.3
The cabin was perfect for what we needed it for. The only issue (a big one) was that the windows (3 of them) did not lock. This is a big deal as you're leaving your stuff behind all day, and anyone could get in. The place was surface clean but needed to be deep cleaned, as inside cabinets and under bed was dirty. We also showed up at 3pm (which the email said was check-in) with someone there cleaning. So there is a discrepancy between what the listing says check-in is and what the PDF that was sent says. Overall 2-3 stars.
4.3
Great location. Spacious. Has everything you need. Super host.
4.3
The location was perfect but that’s about it. The price was way too high for what got. The floor was soft in places, the toilet was coming off the floor, trim was missing in several areas. It was a tiny house shed with skirting falling off. The faucet handle in the kitchen came off. The board games had pieces missing. As landlord myself I would suggest fixing the place up. It cost money to make money and I think you could have something there but you have to fix those things at the least.
4.3
Received information about check in. Check in information was at 3pm on one form and 4pm on the site. Showed up at 3pm to put our refrigerator items as permitted, but was turned away by cleaning service very rudely. Came back to find bugs on pillows, dirty counters. Odors in the cabin, and over all unsatisfied with cleanliness. We could not stay two nights.
4.3
Great location, being inside the park and very easy to find. Definitely rustic, and all that comes with that, so don’t be surprised by that when you stay here. I do feel like new blinds would be an easy inexpensive way to spruce this place up.
Overall tho, great spot for the price and somewhere I would stay again.
4.3
The road into the site is very steep. I would not come to this location in winter. There are pot holes and steep turns just to get to the tiny house. The smells inside were less than pleasant and the kitchen left a lot to be desired. The sink handle fell off every time we tried to turn on the sink and the dishes and silverware were kinda dirty. The tea kettle was glued shut. Glad we brought our own coffee and French press. We used a pot that we needed to clean before using but tried to get out of the house quickly in the AM. The beds in the loft couldn't be used because in 100 degree weather the AC was insufficient to cool the upper level. The futon sheet was dirty but we brought our own sheets. We managed to sleep our family of 4 on the futon and the bed in the stinky bedroom. The views were great and we were glad to be in the park. We managed to sleep and shower but I would not recommend this place.
4.3
The cabin was cozy and big enough for our family of 3. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to the river below. The cabin could use a good cleaning and the blinds need to be replaced. Overall, would recommend staying here!
4.3
My husband and I enjoyed the place. It's small and cozy that invites to relaxation. We were able to cook and eat at the porch with a full moon light. It was definitely a wonderful experience.
4.3
Directions were great. Cabin has so much potential but not as described. No grill or patio furniture and smell in the bedroom was terrible. You cannot see the river from the cabin or even near it. You can hear it. The neighbors were pleasant with us. The view was amazing.
4.3
Another fantastic stay at this nice cabin! Everything you need for your stay, apart from charcoal and fluid if you're barbecuing! We really appreciate the host and manager caring for this property!
4.3
Our family loved every bit of the stay! Just exactly as described. Would definitely go back!!!
4.3
We enjoyed our stay we hope to stay again🎄
4.3
Beautiful property inside the park - first car up the scenic drive with many fabulous photos from my bucket list trip to see the Redwoods
4.3
This is a basic, but comfortable small cabin set in a terrific location for exploring Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. As others have noted, new window blinds are very much needed for the windows, and while generally clean enough, the cabin windows, floors, and outside areas could do with a good and thorough cleaning. They all had not been cleaned in a long time.
We appreciated the coffee and coffee bean grinder, and greatly appreciated the forced air heating working so well during the chilly nights. Overall, we very much enjoyed our quiet four-night stay, and would be happy to return. The very steep road that leads down to the cabin will, however, preclude us from returning until late spring. We can't see a non-fourwheel drive vehicle climbing up that vertical road. With ice and snow, even some four wheel drive vehicles might not safely make it down and back out.
4.3
Run do not walk! This was a nightmare. The door was wide open when we arrived which was a bit strange and a safety issue for sure. The towels, sheets and blankets were dirty, not just stained but actual like crusty large yellow stain/spill on the blankets and brown material on the towels. There is no wifi and no cell service and we arrived at night after sundown and were unable to contact the property manager or owner. We were supposed to have a multi-night stay but left as soon as the sun came up. The message function on Vrbo wouldn't connect to the owner so we called and that lead us to not the owner but gave us a number to text. We text the number with our concerns and they said it wasn't possible because the door was locked when they checked. We sent pictures and they then apologized and said they would send a refund. I have followed up but have yet to receive a refund and there is nothing on Vrbo that indicates a refund will be on the way.
I contacted Vrbo support but they said they were unable to assist me and I needed to work with the owner.
The property is a little difficult to locate but as the instructions said we had patience in locating it. This issue was if you mess up and miss the property you are on a neighbors private property and the neighbor was NOT happy. Telling us we needed to leave it was private property, we were trespassing and needed to leave immediately. - we apologized but when we asked for directions they weren't able to help much and it is clear that the property manager/owner doesn't have a relationship with the neighbors.
The rest of the property was a bit dusty and not thoroughly cleaned but that wasn't a huge problem. Really the bare minimum of clean sheets and towels was all we needed.
4.3
No nonsense cabin to enjoy Sequoia National Park. It was quiet spot that had beautiful views. My family really enjoyed our time there. It had the basics to be comfortable and was very economical. My only gripe is a request to replace some of the window blinds! There are nice large windows that look out over the mountains in the evening, but none of the blinds would open without some jury rigging.
