Lovely setting. Enjoyed fishing hiking kayaking and golfing while attending a wedding at resort. House was well appointed and location was perfect. Highly recommend

Stayed at this amazing lakefront home for a long weekend sisters getaway. It was beautiful, clean , cozy and full of charm. The online pictures do not do it justice. From the cabin to the location and amenities the home came with was wonderful. We swam in the lake, took peddle boat out for a little ride. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to make your own meals which we did after some sun and water time in the lake. We would recommend 100 percent. Also near the town of Chimney Rock with adorable shops and good eats. Next time we plan to stay longer !

We enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. We spent every night down at the dock. This area of the lake is so peaceful. My kiddos didn’t want to go home!

Daydream Inn was the perfect spot for our family! We knew we wanted something lake-front with enough beds for everyone, and this spot ticked all the boxes and more. We knew it had everything we needed, but we were blown away when we arrived; it exceeded all expectations in person!Grandma was so happy to have a room separated from all the grandkids, and the young kids were thrilled to have rooms across from each other for max cousin fun!We lived on the water thanks to the floating dock, and put the paddle boards and kayaks to good use every day.The kitchen was more spacious than expected, and we were even able to host our 12 other relatives across the lake for dinner with ease.We can't wait to book Daydream Inn again next summer!

Beautiful home! Loved the outside toys that they offer! Our kids loved the floating dock and the SUP boards. Not too many steps to the lake. We spent a lot of time on the covered porch, overlooking the lake. We have been coming to Lake Lure for 7yrs and always stay in a different house and this is our favorite!

This was a perfect place to stay and relax while we celebrated the wedding of my daughter at Rumbling Bald. We especially enjoyed several days of relaxation after the big event. Loved the artistic vibe and peaceful lake.

My requests are to put a king bed in the master bedroom so my wife and I can sleep together. There is plenty of room. Also, blinds on all the windows in the master. I had to move many things off the counters and cabinets to the laundry room to make room for our dry goods.

We fell into Steve and Sue (FIVE STAR to work with - BEYOND amazing!) via a last minute issue with a completely separate VRBO we were going to stay in. They founds us a place on the fly, and it was PERFECT - right on the lake, with all of the water amenities (an amazing overall location to boot) you could ask for. We loved it - every minute of it!

This is a lovely home on a small, but beautiful lake, right next to Lake Lure. We swam off the dock, used the kayaks, rented a SUP to explore the lake, and just sat on the dock and enjoyed the birds. We played golf and hiked at Chimney Mountain as well. It was a relaxing vacation and this home made it all possible. And, Sue with Buffalo Junction was amazing to work with. We would definitely rent this home again.

Loved our stay on Bald Mountain Lake!
Wonderful home on Bald Mountain Lake next to Lake Lure. It was the perfect family lake with no motorized boats. Kids had a blast! Parents we’re able to relax. Thank you for hosting us.

scenic getaway
beautiful views, peaceful location. My husband and I stayed in the master bedroom and I had the best nights sleep in ages and would love to know the make and model of the mattress. The access to the Rumbling Bald is a definite bonus. The kayaks, peddle boat and floating dock were very much appreciated.

The first thing you notice when you enter the home is the amazing view of the lake from the living room, dining areas, kitchen, and master bedroom. The home is very comfortable and is well appointed with artistic whimsy inside and out. The water is only steps away and we enjoyed the dock, boats, and firepit. No reason to leave until your time is up. We loved it!

This property is safely nestled in a safe resort, on a mountain, and directly on a beautiful lake. The first thing you notice when you enter the home is the amazing view of the lake from the living room, dining areas, kitchen, and master bedroom. The home is very comfortable and is well appointed with artistic whimsy inside and out. The water is only steps away and we enjoyed the dock, boats, and firepit. No reason to leave until your time is up. We loved it!

The view over the lake from the dock, the deck and the living area … spectacular! House was the perfect size for 3 adult women friends traveling together (and all preferring their own space).
Would definitely return and recommend.

Very pleasant stay. We did note a large grease stain in the oven and the floors were dirty. I did try to remove the stain with goo gone, but a self clean should be in order.

The house was very clean and well stocked. Sue was extremely responsive to all of our needs. The children loved kayaking and swimming in the lake. The amenities at Rumbling Bald were a real plus especially the lazy river.
Because we had unusually hot weather we were unable to have dinner on the porch so my only suggestion is to have a few extra chairs for the indoor dining table. We were six people and two had to eat at the counter. It would have been nice for all of us to sit at the table.

This was our first time in Rumbling Bald. The lake was so peaceful and private. The wildlife was abundant and it was an easy jaunt to activities. The house is well stocked with towels & everything for cooking the appliances were current and the grill was in perfect working condition. This made for an easier stay for us. The house gives everyone a little privacy. We really enjoyed the screened in porch!! Management was on top of everything here and addressed a small issue at during our first day. I look forward to booking again with Buffalo Junction and loved the location.

We had a wonderful stay at Daydream Inn. It had the perfect amount of space for two parents and 4 kids. Everyone had a comfortable bed and the water was within close access for plenty of kayaking and duck watching. The property was very well appointed and super cute with eclectic decor. I would highly recommend the property. We have stayed in several of the Buffalo Junction Properties and are always satisfied with our interactions with them and their properties.

My family rented Daydream Inn for 5 days and it was great! The lake is wonderfully quiet, the house was clean and lovely with a lot of fun decor. We loved the screened in porch and comfy living room, especially. The kitchen was well-stocked and modern. Would highly recommend.
