Railway Cottage is a lovely house. It's well equipped, beautifully decorated, comfortably furnished and wonderfully warm! The house is also in a perfect location, just ten minutes walk from the centre of Holt and with easy access to the coast. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing time very homely especially with the aga always lovely and warm … the annexe was such a handy place for our friends to stay in with their dog they absolutely loved it .. short walk to Holt and The Pigs restaurant up the road which was lovely as we celebrated two birthdays that weekend used Holt Taxis who were on time both ways and very efficient .. Holt Country Park was a delight to walk round and Holkham Hall and Beach a must to go too. Thank you Jon for all you did for us to make our weekend stay the best you are a star hopefully we will be back .. the icing on the cake was a visit to see the Thursford Christmas Spectacular which was amazing take care x

We really enjoyed our stay at Railway cottage. The separate annex was perfect for my parents and gave them their own space. The selection of toys on the upstairs rooms was fantastic, our boys played with them all weekend. We also really appreciated the sturdy stair gate. Generally the house was beautifully clean and very well equipped. It also had the best example of a welcome book that I have ever seen. The owner, Jon, was always very quick to respond to the few questions I had and was happy to have a cot set up for us. We would all happily stay again - and probably will.

We had an excellent stay in Jon’s cottage, all rooms and beds really comfy, well equipped house to cover all needs and fabulous location close to all the north Norfolk Coastal and inland attractions. The cottage was always a great place to come back to after a coastal day and with the pubs and restaurants all booked up locally the kitchen was a great place to cook and hang out. Everything had been thought of and communication swift and clear. Highly recommend this as a holiday rental.

Really lovely cottage stocked with everything you could need and decorated to a high standard. Plenty of toys and dvds to keep the kids happy and just a short walk into the village of Holt. Would highly recommend.

First time, but definitely not the last time, we will visit and stay at this amazing cottage. Perfect location to visit so many of the seaside resorts. Such a charmingly decorated home from home with all the requirements you will need to make your stay comfortable . We loved it and couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jon’s place. The cottage is beautifully decorated, very well appointed (including an Aga), and the separate accommodation space in the backyard is a bonus. Lovely decking and garden makes this an instantly relaxing place to stay. Walking distance to the centre of Holt. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a lovely property in an ideal area- walking distance into the town of Holt and the countryside and a short drive to the sea.

We wanted somewhere special and we got it! A wonderful, truly memorable birthday weekend with all the family, even the dogs!

Railway cottage was deceptively spacious on the inside with well laid out accommodation and excellent equipment. Instructions to the property provided by the owner were detailed and very helpful as we were driving down from Yorkshire. The location could not have been better with a ten minute walk into Holt and good access to the North Norfolk coast and attractions. The AGA cooker was warm and welcoming and made the kitchen the true heart of the home. The icing on the cake was Platform 2 (the annexe )which was a perfect retreat for our son. We would definitely recommend this property.

This house is absolutely beautiful, finished to a high spec, with literally nothing negative to say! I would highly recommend this property! It’s within a 15mins drive to Cromer, Holt is full of shops, pubs, coffee houses and has loads of character and only a 5-10 min walk (we had 2 small children with us so always takes a bit longer) Perfect for our family trip away to celebrate my dads 70th birthday! The only thing I would note is the hairdryer needs replacing but when that is the only downside to mention you know you have hit the jackpot! We will absolutely be visiting again as a family in the summer! Thank you Paula for the great communication and directions.

Railway cottage is a fantastic cottage, deceptively large and really comfortable. Plenty of local places to eat and within easy distance of lots of beautiful Norfolk attractions. Definitely recommended!

The property is beautifully designed, larger than we expected and has all the little thoughtful things that make your stay easier and more enjoyable. The location is an easy walk into Holt and really well placed to get to all the best north Norfolk beaches and villages. A perfect stay!

We had a lovely long weekend in Holt based in this lovely property. Three generations and two dogs and it catered for everyone, in particular the three year old who loved the books and toys. The house and garden is just as nice as the pictures suggested, I am sure we will return, thank you.

First time for young cousins to sleep in same room proved to be a big success marvellous toys, books and dvds helped Grownups had plenty of room in a deceptively large well appointed house

A return visit for our family of seven, and it was just as wonderful the second time! This time the weather was kind and we were able to use the beautiful garden and outdoor seating, as well as enjoying all the space inside the cottage.
