Better than the pictures! This was the perfect weekend getaway for my friends and I. We needed a house large enough for 7 adults and 5 kids (one a four week old infant). The house was the perfect size and the bedrooms were spread out so everyone had their own private space. The house was equipped with games and toys for the little ones. The outdoor fireplace was a great place to hang. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed for cooking for a large group. We will definitely rebook for next year!

We loved this property!! Communication with the owner was excellent. The instructions for the property (check in, check out, etc) were very clear and helpful. The house was clean, well maintained, decorated beautifully, and had everything we needed and more. My favorite part of the stay was the outside amenities. The outdoor fireplace and heating element on the deck allowed us to comfortably enjoy the spacious decks at night. We hope to return again!

Fantastic property with everything you could possibly need for a family getaway!

We had 13 people and had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Excellent, well stocked kitchen and several great options to hang out with family.

This property was the perfect place to celebrate my daughter’s graduation with family that came from all over the country. The space was opening enough to gather together for meals and games, yet had smaller conversation nooks to have a special interaction too. Julia thought about all the extra things needed while being away from home. The kitchen is so well equipped!! We even enjoyed a great evening by the fire on the deck. We only had the bring the supplies for s’mores. Everyone is our group from 20’s to 80’s felt at home and relaxed!

Our stay at Arbothan was fantastic! Julia was so communicative both prior to arrival and post check out with any questions we had. The views from all of the decks and outdoor patio and fireplace were everything! This house comfortably slept our group of 9 with plenty of room to spare. The hiking trails were less than a 5 minute walk from the house which was also super convenient. One note is that the driveway is extremely steep, so we parked in the nearby culdesac the majority of the time. Not a big issue- just something to be aware of.

This is a wonderful home for a weekend visit to Wintergreen (our second stay). It is one of the best VRBO homes we have rented with respect to overall quality from bedrooms to living spaces and kitchen. The outdoor patio and fireplace are an extra bonus - our grandkids loved doing S'Moores after dinner. The owners (Julia) really make you feel like guests and not just renters. Will return again for sure.

This Beautiful home had everything our 2 families needed and more! First let me start by saying the photos, although lovely, do not do the property justice! Every room, each piece of furniture and every item placed has been meticulously thought out in order to make the most of our stay with comfort, convenience and so that we could make the most of our time. This incredible Mountain home reminded me of the type of vacation homes you only read about in books. With ample space for our 2 families, we had plenty of room to spread out. There was plenty to do with books, games, ping pong, cornhole, an amazing outdoor fireplace and various seating areas both inside and out. The well stocked chefs kitchen , which I especially appreciated, offered every convenience imaginable, along with ample seating for all. Julia was responsive, caring & an all around fantastic hostess. Thank you again for everything! We will most definitely be back next year!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend, and second stay, at Arbothan! Everything about the house is welcoming and open, and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The outdoor fireplace and expansive deck was perfect for family time with our kids and Grandkids. We cannot say enough good things about this house and host! Our family is looking forward to our next stay at Arbothan!

The house was perfect for our crew. Very comfortable, with plenty of space for everyone. The outside fireplace area was an added bonus, so nice. The owner Julia was easy to communicate with and got back to me immediately. We can't wait to book for next year.

Some friends and I rented this cabin for a weekend get-together from around the State. We had such a lovely stay, and I would absolutely recommend this property. Julia was such a gracious and helpful host, and was really quick to respond to my questions prior to and during the trip. The cabin is very well-stocked throughout, from the kitchen to the linen closets to the bathrooms. The location is great as well, we hiked the Upper Shamokin Falls trail which started right down the road from the cabin. Our group had a really enjoyable and memorable stay at this property!

Absolutely wonderful in every way! We had 4 couples and a single staying for a weekend of fun visiting the wineries, breweries and distilleries in the area. Julia (owner) was so helpful in giving me the “rundown” of the area regarding places to visit and restaurants. Our evenings were spent on the deck enjoying the outdoor fireplace. My friends and I had a wonderful time at Arbothan! The house was as wonderful as the descriptions and had more than enough space for all of us to gather together, whether at the table, by the fireplaces or on the deck. The house is in the perfect spot for hopping onto hiking trails and enjoying the sounds of the Shomokin Falls nearby. Communication, check-in and check-out were very easy. We would be happy to come back again!

This home has it all, top of the line everything from kitchen utensils to home furnishings. If you need it, this home has it so just bring your food and clothing. Plus, this home was exceptionally clean and organized too. Perfect location, surrounded by pristine parkland, hike to Shamokin falls and a short drive to magnificent sunset views at Raven's Roost. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect home for our family reunion and we thank Julia for thinking about what families might need and then providing it!

We loved our time at Arbothan, Wintergreen Resort, and the surrounding area. The home was incredibly clean, well stocked, and the communication with Julia was phenomenal. We have rented various homes for vacations, and this was hands-down our favorite home. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Julia was so helpful while I was trying to determine if her home would work for our group. (A birthday gathering for us, our 4 children and their families.) After we had booked it, she quickly answered all of my questions as they arose. The house is beautiful and provides multiple places to enjoy the outdoors, to gather all 15 of us together inside and outside, and yet space to separate when anyone needed some quiet time. Almost every night we gathered at the outdoor fireplace. The cooler mountain air made that a real treat. And the top deck was perfect for our catered birthday dinner, leaving the kitchen island for the caterer and the large dining table for the buffet. We have rented many homes over the years, both in the US and out of the country. Some have been for only the two of us, others have been for 3 couples, but this was the first where we brought so many people together. This is among the top 3 rentals in how well it is supplied. From games and books, to kitchen equipment and condiments, we found everything we needed. The location also worked very well. One of the highlights is that we could walk to a few hiking trails right from the house. I even spotted a mama bear and her cub during a hike on the Old Appalachian Trail! The house is also a short drive to fun activities like tubing. the lake and breweries. My only disappointment was that our kids' busy schedules meant that we couldn't enjoy a whole week there. Everyone said they would go back in a heartbeat.

Our extended family was attending a wedding and stayed together at this property. It is fabulous. The outdoor space is beautiful and very spacious. The home is spacious and updated. I have never been in a rental property that provided so many supplies such as garbage bags, aluminum foil, salt, pepper, some spices and so much more. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Lots of indoor and outdoor space for a large family gathering. Fully stocked kitchen with top of the line appliances. House was exceptionally clean with comfortable beds and nice linens. Property, communications with owner, and check in all exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend!!

We stayed here for a weekend with a group of 12 guys, and the house was perfect. The location was great (steep driveway so be prepared), and the furnishings were comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was EXTREMELY well stocked, which made cooking a breeze. 100% would stay again. Julia was very responsive and very helpful when we had questions

We celebrated a friend’s 40th birthday and the cabin was perfect. Best part was the patio with fireplace!

This is a beautiful house The furnishings are top of the line from from appliances to towels and super comfortable beds. The house was immaculate and in beautiful well maintained condition.. You can't go wrong with this house.

Our family had an amazing long weekend at this mountain home! The floor plan is fabulous with two bedrooms on each of the three floors and a second family room on the first floor. The kitchen had EVERYTHING you could possibly need and the house was very clean with mostly new and comfortable furniture. We loved the house so much that we booked again for next year!

We stayed at Arborthon for a long NYE’s weekend. We cannot say enough good things about this house and host. One of the best maintained, most well-stocked rentals we’ve ever stayed in. We very much enjoyed the outdoor fireplace. Any time of year, this property and area both have a lot to offer for friends and family members of all ages!

We gathered family for a wonderful weekend celebrating my parents' 50th anniversary. This home is amazing!! Very well stocked kitchen, wonderfully decorated and designed with plenty of very comfortable furniture in common rooms, excellent bedrooms and bathrooms. The home is really beautiful, and our party of 12 never felt cramped for space - there's plenty of room to spread out, AND plenty of space to be comfortably together - whether in the main level family room, kitchen, lower level gathering space, OR the fabulous outdoor spaces. Spacious decks, BEAUTIFUL new extension of the deck with outdoor seating and fireplace. I can't say enough. Julia was also a fantastic host, with great and very supportive information and communication. Thank you!!

We were 12 people/6 couples and had a perfect weekend stay here. Extremely well stocked kitchen with everything you could need, lots of bed space, and extremely close to many trails for walks and hikes. Would definitely come back!

The rental was just perfect for our large group to enjoy a quiet retreat in the mountains. The house was even better than the photos suggested! Everything was clean, tidy, and well-stocked upon our arrival. Our host was pleasant and sent loads of helpful resources prior to our stay. This was one of the best rentals we’ve stayed in.

We took my parents here for their 80th birthdays with other family members and had a wonderful time. So relaxing. The two decks were great, the kitchen had everything you could possibly need, the beds were all very comfortable, and it was just a really nice home to relax with family or friends. Julia called right after we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed and answered any questions. I highly recommend this home for a stay in Wintergreen.

This lovely home is in great condition and is in a great location right by beautiful waterfalls. Julia was very helpful and available to assist in anyway necessary. If you need a larger home at Wintergreen, I highly recommend selecting this property.
