Had a great week-long stay in the hut. It is extremely well equipped and comfortable, with the added bonus of the hot tub. Gorgeous walks straight from the door and Polperro itself is a beautiful village, with lots of great places to visit in the surrounding area. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place, we had a very relaxing stay.

Really loved the property it not only looked lovely but it is in such a peaceful location me and my partner felt completely isolated from the world and we able to enjoy some very needed alone time and relaxation. The village is beautiful and has plenty of restrants and the harbour is a really nice walk. The owners were lovely and helpful.

The hut was perfect for the two of us. It is very close to Polperros main pubs and shops but has that feeling like you could be miles away in the middle of nowhere. We didnt even mind the steep walk back up! The hut itself is well kitted out, clean, plenty of storage for two and the bed is comfortable. We used the hot tub just twice during the week only because the weather was so hot during each day and it was nice to cool down a little in the evenings. The bbq was also a bonus - we used both this and the local pubs for our evening meals :) All in all we had a brilliant week and would definitely stay again. Polperro is our new favourite place in Cornwall :)

Wonderfully equipped and decorated all you need for foodies to cook or eat a good selection of takeaways. Loved the comfy bed too. Top notch hot tub with magnificent views and lighting Easy walk to the village and an uphill climb on the return Never used the car for 3 days. Bliss! Good restaurants are booked so book early. Every meal eaten outside in superb garden

We would highly recommend staying at the Penlea retreat. Tim and Helen were wonderful hosts. Very helpful and communicative. The accommodation was equipped with everything you need. It was very warm and the bed was really comfy. We were welcomed with an afternoon tea which was a lovely touch. The wood fired hot tub was perfect for a romantic evening under the stars. Tim gave excellent instructions on heating the hot tub and we enjoyed 3 evenings out there despite it being 0 degrees outside it was lovely! Polperro village was stunning and just a short walk from the property. The views are absolutely stunning and there are plenty of beautiful coastal walks straight from the village. We would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful Shepherds Hut and hot tub experience. It is completely private as you have your own enclosed area. The owners are very responsive should you need them. The hut is a short walk into Polperro which is a gorgeous little town with lots of bars, restaurants and shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return in the future.

The cabin looks exactly as advertised and almost isn’t done justice in the photos!! The inside is furnished very tastefully and to a very high quality, the bathroom especially. Not only is the cabin itself amazing and in a perfect spot (just a short 5 minute walk to Polperro) but the view is beautiful. The owner is happy to help with any issues or inquiries you may have. I’d highly recommend and would definitely come again.

Penlea Retreat delivers everything it promises and more. From the first interactions with Tim prior to booking, our comprehensive arrival instructions and warm welcome from Tim & Helen, with lovely little touches inside the hut, which is small but perfectly packaged - the ideal environment for rest and relaxation. Though saying that, it's perfect location for the quaint and fascinating town of Polperro and the wonders of the Cornish coastal path meant we were ideally placed for exploration, leaving the car behind throughout our stay and taking several circular walks (one a bit more strenuous than the others!) and several trips down into the town. Polperro itself has enough choice of shops, pubs and eateries to keep many a traveller happy. Our favourite bit was the chance to relax for several hours at the end of each day in the hot tub - luckily having several clear nights, shutting all the lights off, listening to the wildlife and soaking up the stars. After many wonderful trips to Cornwall, Penlea Retreat definitely rides high on our must return list.
