Lovely old home with quite a history. Excellent position with seating to enjoy the views. Good breakfast room to do our own meals in our own time. Use of the private clothesline to hang some damp clothes.

This property was homely and not like a motel/hotel. It had all that was needed for a comfortable stay.

There was nothing I could point to that I did not like.

The ambiance of the location

We grounds of the property were huge & the view over the water was great. The hosts were just lovely & very helpful. Even though the house is old it has been done up beautifully. The room & en-suite were just great.

Lovely room with a large comfortable bed and good bathroom. Fabulous view from the comfortable arm chairs. Definitely worth getting the Harbour view suite. Great location.

Met on arrival by John who took us to our room, explained the facilities. Very comfortable room. Grounds were gorgeous with outdoor recliners, beautiful view.

Beautiful location. Like Anne of Green Gables cottage on a hill overlooking beautiful Strahan. Picturesque. Quiet. Beautiful location. Friendly beautiful managers. Gardens stunning and immaculate. So many places to walk and sit and relax. Sun loungers to read on. Every little detail thought of . Shiwer brilliant , bed the best so far in Tasmania travel, beautiful seats to sit in and read. Loved every minute. Would have stayed longer. Will recommend to all friends and family

Absolutely beautiful accommodation. Our room was just fantastic with everything you could need. The large bed was very comfortable, the bathroom very clean and the hosts were very welcoming. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful location, super comfortable bed. We had the king bay view room with kitchenette containing everything you could possibly need. Close to town, friendly and welcoming host. Would highly recommend this authentic property in beautiful Strahan.

Ambience, old world charm with architecture. Beautiful and spacious garden with outdoor seating& tables. Spectacular views with 180° of harbour sights. Friendly, cheerful and helpful staff. Very clean and well maintained. Very satisfactory/practical kitchen facilities in room. Wonderful place to visit again.

Loved the location. The owners were lovely. The beds and bedding was super comfortable. So cosy which is great after a hard day of touring!

We were travelling with another couple and they struggled with the size of the shower and bathroom area. We found our shower a bit of a squeeze too, but I’d still rather have an ensuite than having to share a bathroom with strangers.

lovely comfortable and traditionally furnished room with access to separate breakfast room to prepare snacks and hot drinks, and lounge about. This room had the most amazing views back into Strahan township. The grounds were wonderful and we had sundowners each night overlooking an inlet with longer views to Strahan township. Loved the peace and tranquility of the grounds and being on the outskirts of the Strahan township. Our hostess was helpful but discreet.

Nothing really - we loved our stay. Laundry facilities might have been useful to us (although not essential).

good spot right next to the river, view was really pretty. And sharing area(living room) has a big window can see the view too. Even tho a little bit away from town but it’s a quiet place and I really like it when I was sitting in the living room for my afternoon tea watching the view. nice old house has its own character and history, and you can tell the owner look after it well. felt welcome when i checked in 😊 and the owner turned the heater on warmed up the room already for us !! room was clean and tidy, bed and pillows were so comfy and clean of course! shower actually not too bad!! water was hot and also good water volume, heated light was great. shower area was clean and tidy too.

They provide free wifi there, but I used my own internet, and I’m with Telstra, I couldn’t get good reception there for uploading pics and playing game😅😆 (maybe should use house internet lol ) and because it’s a small room with bathroom in it, so i can smell the smell of toilet, it wasn’t too bad but I’m just a little bit sensitive to it. So I think it will be better has a air freshener in the bathroom.
