Beautiful property with infinity pool that we really enjoyed on a hot day! Stunning views from the balcony. Breakfast was a very pleasant surprise, it was big.

Honestly the most amazing stay ever! I’m writing for solo travellers who don’t plan to drive. I took a train from Porto (Sao Bento station) to Mosteiro. whatever you do, don’t fall asleep on the train, the views are spectacular. When you get to Mosteiro, you can get a taxi outside. Check train times from Mosteiro station back to Porto, there was unfortunately strike on the day of my return which made it very difficult to travel back. - When I arrived, there was no one at reception and I kind of went round saying hello hello which worried me a bit but that was the only and last issue I had. The views are INCREDIBLE! literally waking up to the views at the Douro was everything. The room is so spacious and clean and has the best pillows and the best bed and I just can’t believe there’s a place like this. - Next time I won’t bother too much about food. The breakfast was plenty and enough to fill you for lunch and dinner. The 5* Douro hotel is close by and you can have a meal at their restaurant which I did. If you can, get a local to drive you to Cinfaes the views are incredible from there. - The staff were so helpful and helped me book a cab back. The pool was cold in June but still lovely view. Wifi was perfect!

I didn’t like that the staff kept disappearing Also it’s close to a road so when the door leading to the balcony is opened, it can be a bit noisy but this isn’t a big deal. I really wish they can introduce a late lunch at an extra fee.

Location with lack view is mavalles...breakfast is very nice - served in the room...stuff was very responsive altough we arrived late after hours.

Beautiful view of the river. Lovely staff. Enchanting fruit trees on the property. Everything seems new. Great value. Only wish I could have stayed longer.

The hotel had beautiful views and facilities. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the breakfast box was excellent.

This was a very comfortable accommodation, with enough space for our family stay. The staff catered to our needs and ensured we had a wonderful stay.

There wasn't anything that stood out, maybe a coat stand would be a thoughtful addition.

Location, design, and service were all excellent.

They don’t serve dinner or have food available at dinner time. They gave us restaurant recommendations, and we drove to two at dinner time but they were closed, even though they said open online. We needed up not eating dinner that night because this is a remote location where nothing else was open at that hour (8pm) and we hadn’t brought groceries with us. Unfortunately this really ruined our one-night stay there.

Everything!!! our apartment was stunning! we had two separate bedrooms and a double sofa bed in the living room. the rooms were spotlessly clean! the pool is gorgeous and the views breathtaking. the breakfast is everything the other reviews said and more! one of our children is coeliac and they provided an excellent range of products that varied each morning… this was so important to us! we didn’t bring a car and we were able to arrange a taxi to the nearest supermarket for €35 return! This is a great option if you wish to get the train to Pala station which is only 5min walk from the property (but steep and stepped so not great for anyone with accessibility issues) and was wayyyy cheaper than €1400 we were quoted for a car for the week! The train runs from Porto.

The range of cooking equipment is limited for a self catering apartment, I think most people drive out to eat or there are restaurants that will deliver but for us catering with our coeliac daughter a few extra pots and pans would have been useful!

The staff speaks very bad English so we had one misunderstanding after another (we missed a dinner, missed a buggy activity, misunderstood each other on different subjects). For the price of the room we were disappointed with the service. - On the last day we had a problem with a tyre which was handled very well, the manager who spoke English was there (fortunately!!) and helped us well -
