Very clean, comfortable and cost in mountains. Perfect size for three couples to stay. We enjoyed the stay.

This is a wonderful cabin, very spacious (3 floors), and fabulous views. If you are looking for a secluded cabin, this is it. The cabin is within a gated community, with an approximate 10-minute drive on gravel roads up the mountain to the cabin driveway. All the needed amenities are included. The one disappointment was the gas fireplace that was not working. We spoke to the property manager, but he was not able to get anyone out to repair this. Otherwise, this is a great place to spend a few days with the family. Chimney Rock park is about 25 minutes away, while Biltmore estate is slightly over an hour. The drive to these locations takes place on very winding roads, so be prepared. Travel in the winter with snow and/or ice on the roads would be very challenging, while getting to and from the cabin on the gravel roads is likely not possible with any significant amount of snow, even with a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Otherwise, this place is really fantastic.

We’ll appointed cabin with both vintage and rustic decor. Great accommodations, views and peaceful neighborhood. We have been staying in the area for the past three years and this is the nicest cabin we’ve rented. Thoughtful things like games, puzzles, movies, a dog lead line and doggie toys, books to enjoy, lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the peace and quiet. Will definitely return.

The property at River Bend was a wonderful change from staying in hotels and other large properties. Even though there were only two of us, we elected to stay in a home that could easily have accommodated 8 people. The cabin, very well appointed and decorated was not your little rustic cabin in the woods. With multiple levels, bedrooms, and a lovely kitchen, it met or exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to return.

Just beautiful, spacious, clean, comfortable. 3 floors and great for grandparents with adult children and 3 grandchildren. Lots of games, Weber grill, Fire pit, fireplace, quiet, balconies with great mt views. Like new and lively appointments. You will not be disappointed.

We had a great week at the cabin. The weather cooperated quite nicely and mostly rained at night if at all. The grandkids enjoyed the gem mines and we all had a good time hiking at Chimney Rock. The lake is beautiful for floating and swimming and we all had an awesome time floating down the rapids and the river to the swimming hole. The dogs loved swimming in the river. The cabin was awesome! Enough room for all of us. The views were gorgeous and the porches and decks were great for watching the storms. The ring toss and air hockey were the grandkids’s favorite games by far!! The location and community were perfect. Would definitely consider staying again.

Better than advertised is the best way to describe our stay. Absolutely beautiful home and property with peace and serenity and amazing views. Very convenient to grocery store for supplies, within 15 mins or less from so many options to shop, dine, explore, relax. This property is definitely a gem and on our short list for next year as well as we cross our fingers that it will be available for booking when we return. Wonderful secluded cabin in a gated neighborhood. Home was clean with a nice layout. Pet friendly. Nice sized bedrooms and downstairs game room area. Cornhole, air hockey, board games for game night and a DVD player for movie night. Even a tiki ring toss game on the porch.. Nice deck with mountain view and comfortable rocking chairs-- perfect for after dinner drinks or reading a great book. Captain's deck was great for star gazing! Equipped kitchen made it easy for us to make meals. Drive to the main road was about 11 minutes. Good walking and fishing area near the neighborhood lake and only about 20 mins to Lake Lure and that center-of-town area, where there are many restaurants. Discovered a great Latin food truck at the Farmers Market there on Friday.. Another 15 mini to Chimney Rock where there are some more attractions.

The house was very nice with a wonderful deck over looking a canopy of trees. Nice breeze. It is in a gated community which felt safe. The road is gravel with lots of twists and turns. We should have waited to wash the car until we returned. The housekeeping fee is not included in the cost. If you stay here, be prepared to pay the housekeeper in cash or a check made out to cash. It's a great place for a family. Lots of games and kid stuff. Dogs allowed, also, although we didn't take advantage of this amenitiy.

The cabin was exactly like the listing, there were no surprises or disappointments! The host always replied in a timely manner to any questions I had! This was our first family vacation since my dad passed away and it was nice to have comfortable room for my mom, my mother in law, three kids, two dogs, and my husband & I (who immediately claimed the upstairs, loft and all!!! The view was amazing!! The community was friendly and there was a lot to do!! I will agree with a previous comment though, one full length mirror would be good! :) We will certainly be back! Thank you for helping to make our family vacation wonderful!

Second time in this neighborhood and would definitely stay at this home again. Great location to everything.

This is a great log cabin in a rural mountain location with lots of distance from neighbors for good privacy. The only negative is the long, dusty gravel road that winds up the mountain to the cabin.

The house is in a beautiful location with amazing view off the back porch. We spent our spare time there having coffee in the morning. The rooms have so much character and great accommodations for kids. Would love to come back. So nice that we could bring pets, really made a difference in our choice. Thanks! I missed seeing info about getting in at the gate after our initial check in. I understand there are pass cards in the house but I didn't find them. So we bugged the person letting us in multiple times. My apologies.

It was a very clean , modern , private cabin home . We had no problems with the cabin or and of its extremities. Would definitely go again in the future.

I can’t say enough good things about this property in Lake Lure. This cabin was absolutely stunning. I loved the solitude and the size of the cabin. There were beautiful views of the mountains. There was plenty of space for the whole family. My teens really enjoyed the two massive bean bags in the game room. Everything was so clean. I loved that the kitchen had plenty of cookware so we could do some of our own cooking. I was especially thrilled about the hiking trail in the gated community that led to a waterfall. It was so beautiful! Thank you for being so accommodating. We definitely want to rent this property again!

Loved the house, the location was perfect. So much to do in the area. The cabin was spacious and the view was absolutely gorgeous. We decided our first night to stay in and cook…kind of, we bought a frozen pizza. When we turned on the oven to preheat, the entire room filled with smoke, the oven was so dirty. In fear that the fire alarms would go off I turned off the oven and I realized there were no fire alarms connected. We scrapped that idea and instead went out to enjoy a local restaurant.

This cabin was the perfect setting for my family this Christmas. My husband and I were in the upstairs king size BR. The adjoining loft was the perfect area for him to telework during our week. The view from the upper deck was perfect to watch the morning sunrise over the mountains with a hot cup of coffee! My wheelchair bound disabled mother was in the main floor queen size BR. I brought her shower chair, and even though there are no hand rails, I had no issues with her being able to hold on to the sink or tub side to steady herself. My 2 adult children were in the basement King size BR and 1 adult child took the lower single size bunk in the adjoining basement room. We brought our 2 small dogs on this trip and had no issues walking them throughout the subdivision. A nice surprise was the provided dog box with dog towels to dry their feet and dog toys for play. The cabin was immaculate. It had every kind of utensil and cooking pan you may need. There were plenty of dishes, coffee filters, foil, plastic wrap, dish soap, salt and pepper, that came with the cabin. The washer and dryer came in very handy, just bring your own detergent for laundry and for the dishwasher. The road in the subdivision is packed dirt and gravel. We had no issues getting in and out with the steep climb or with the driveway. We had 3 cars with 1 car being a hybrid. He had no problems plugging in to outside outlet to charge his car. Lastly, communication with property manager was excellent. She answered every question promptly and even provided a Christmas tree and decorations for us for our week. That was a great touch and very thoughtful of her. We hiked most of the week at local trails and parks. We ate out twice at the Lakehouse Restaurant Bar and Grill (excellent food) and cooked the rest of our meals in the cabin. The large Ingles store with adjacent gas station is only a few minutes away. We stopped at several local craft breweries in the area after our hikes. Another great stop was at the Looking Glass Creamery to sample some delicious cheese. We ordered a charcuterie board and sat outside to enjoy the delectable selections, craft brews, cider, and wonderful views of the countryside. Overall, a perfect Hallmark-worthy Christmas getaway in the Smokey Mountains with my Texas based family and pets. We would most certainly stay here again. Lake Lure and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful!

Beautiful cabin with plenty of room to spread out. We loved the 3 different levels to this cabin. Fantastic view with a wrap around deck. We were in the area for a wedding so, the only thing I would have like to have that wasn’t there was a full length mirror. But again, I was getting ready for a formal event. But other that that, the cabin had everything you could have needed. Beautiful place and we loved the privacy of the cabin.
