There were more personal items left around the house than I expected. And my GPS took us right through the Sing-Sing prison outskirts. But the yard and grounds are really lovely, and it was a super convenient location-right close to the train into the city. MaryEllen was super quick to respond when I had a question. Over all, I'd recommend the house and MaryEllen. I had a great visit with friends, and it was nice to "come home" to the house.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Mary Ellen's home for a long weekend. House is located in a quiet cul-de-sac. The backyard was beautiful, we enjoyed sitting at the bar along the deck watching the water and train pass by. The train was quiet during our whole 4 day stay. The inside was perfect, very comfortable. One thing I will note, we brought a lot of frozen food to cook with and did not realize the freezer wouldn't have much room for our food. So, pack light. All in all, we felt so cozy. Host is perfectly communicative. Had a great stay and would definitely be back! Thank you, Mary Ellen!

Loved this wonderful home on the Hudson with fantastic views from a spacious deck or from inside at the dining room table. For a couple the trundle bed is not ideal, but for two traveling companions, it works fine. Close to downtown Ossining with a fantastic local coffee shop (First Village Coffee) with the best croissants I've ever had (and I'm a snob that's been to Paris twice) and a family run Turkish restaurant, next to each other on main street. Owner provide some coffee and tea at a little station set up in the kitchen which was much appreciated. Would look forward to staying here again.

Mary Ellen's home was lovely and the yard overlooking the Hudson was especially nice, with an outdoor dining area, lots of outdoor lighting, a bubbling stone pond, and a firepit. Communication with the host was easy and lots of information was provided about the area.

A beautiful home with everything you could possibly need! House is very clean with plenty of room to relax. Stunning flowers throughout the backyard with multiple seating areas with views of the Hudson. A fire pit and water feature makes it hard to leave. Conveniently located to shops, restaurants and hiking trails in a beautiful area of the state. Can’t wait to come back!

This was a cute cottage with views of the Hudson River. The BBQ grill and fire pit were great and the house had everything we needed to cook a few meals and enjoy the outside view. Mary Ellen was a great host. Thank you.

I was lucky to have the use of Mary Ellen's home in Ossining for a month as I was undergoing construction in my own house. It was just lovely. The back yard overlooking the Hudson is exquisite and I spent meditative time in nature at this site.-- enjoying many sunsets. The interior of the home is also lovely- amenities were all available and the host was very responsive to all my questions and needs. Mary Ellen was very accommodating. I would recommend this spot to anyone who enjoys nature and a quiet, serene place to stay.

I reserved this home and had a small business meeting here during the day. It was so quiet and exactly as pictured. The host was fantastic at communicating. I'd recommend this property over any in the area! Five Stars!

My husband of 60 years and I stayed here in the fall. We loved the house and the spectacular yard and view of the Hudson. The house is conveniently located to all the destinations we wanted to see—Union Church, Lyndhurst Manor, Sunnyside, The Old Dutch Church and Cemetery, and The Great Jack O”Lantern Blaze. The host is responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful experience.

The home is clean, with a well-equipped kitchen and lovely yard with Hudson River view. It was very convenient to our event at Stone Barns. Unfortunately the bed provided is not adequate for two adults. We were also unaware that over sixty trains a day pass very close, so light sleepers should take note. The owner is very easy to communicate with.

Such a comfortable space with beautiful flowers and a lovely view of the Hudson River! Owner was accessible but not needed as the house was as described and pictured. We would definitely book again.

We had a wonderful 5 night stay at this lovely home in Ossining. It is next to Sing Sing prison but it felt completely safe and quiet. You can hear and see the commuter train but that didn't bother us at all. The home has an open feeling where you can see the beautiful garden, deck and Hudson. The kitchen and dining area were large, spacious and well equipped. When we had a glitch in the Wifi, the Mary Ellen rapidly responded and helped us fix it. The bedroom had twin beds which was fine for 5 nights. To reach the bathroom you have to go across the living room and kitchen which is not a problem unless you get up frequently during the night! The entire house was immaculate and very comfortable. We would stay there again!

It was a peaceful house with an incredible view

Mary Ellen’s home was the perfect, relaxing getaway. Her home was very cozy for a NYE stay. The beautiful views of the Hudson made for a picturesque setting for our time there. Proximity to Tarrytown and nearby parks made for some nice day trips as well. We felt safe and comfortable the entire time there and appreciate Mary Ellen’s hospitality.

If I can give this property a 0 rating I would. The woman was not very flexible at all. The property is located on the premise of a prison. Did not feel comfortable in staying at all. I had a family emergency and had to leave on top of it being next to a prison ground. I reached out to the owner and she was not flexible with giving any type of reimbursement. Don’t stay at this property horrible experience all around. Ruined what I that would be a good getaway during covid. DONT STAY HERE!
