A Wonderful Stay at Natural Kendwa We recently had the pleasure of staying at Natural Kendwa Villas during our visit to Zanzibar. I must say, our experience was nothing short of exceptional, and I cannot recommend this hotel enough! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was comfortable and memorable. They were incredibly helpful, providing valuable insights about the area and suggesting fantastic local activities to partake in. The rooms at Natural Kendwa were spacious, elegantly designed, and clean. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the dining experience. The hotel's on-site restaurant boasted a diverse menu featuring a fusion of local and international cuisine. We indulged in a wide array of mouth-watering dishes that were expertly prepared using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.They also served us with a delicious local dinner, cooked by the chef. The hotel's swimming pool was also a pleasant surprise. It porvides a relaxing and home like feeling. The location of Natural Kendwa was another major advantage. Situated a couple of meters from the beach and some local shops around the area. Finally, I must commend the hotel's commitment to cleanliness and safety. It's a very nice villa near Kendwa beach. The rooms are spacious, the pool is nice. But the staff is maybe the best we had. From Clive at the reception, Amina, Queen, Monica, Ami...They made our vacation special, even though the weather wasn't so great. You will feel like home at this villa - for sure...Warm recommendation if you go to Kendwa!

The staffs are very friendly and their service is impressive. I like the room as it is really spacious and clean. Umi was very helpful and I can see that she is really servicing their guests from the heart. Everyone is really helpful and really friendly - thank you! They also let us leave our things after our checkout and let us take shower even after our long day outside. Clive and Suleyman are also helpful and informative.

The location is far from the beach.

We stayed here for 10 days and it was extraordinary. If you are looking for a quiet romantic place with a great garden this is the location for you. The rooms have authentic furniture and with a great comfortable queen size bed. AC in the room as well. The bathroom is basic but very clean. The personnel is very friendly and welcoming ... Amina from the reception is an angel. We fully recommend the African massage with Queen .. she will wake up all your muscles in your body 🥰. Special thanks to Ali from the restaurant very friendly and funny guy ... the food is amazing so "chapeau to the chef" . As a guest of Natural Villa you make use of all facilities from Kendwa Rocks Hotel (only 3 to 5 min walk) with the best beach in Zanzibar ... you can swim all day long, plenty of sun beds, soft sand and tuquoise water of course. Natural Villa alos offers beach towels everyday so no need to carry those with you. The parties at Kendwa Rocks are also a must. For the divers we fully recommend Zanzibar Watersports. All in all Natural Villa Kendwa is the best location for couples who want to enjoy romantic and quiet evenings with great food and surrounded by amazing people. 👏 you made our vacation unforgatable.

terrible stay, we do not recommend! we booked the hotel for 4 days, the photos of the room looked good, but after arrival it turned out that they differ from reality. the room smelled incredibly musty, after one day all my clothes smelled. in the bathroom there was a mold and generally dirty. There were dirty stains on the sheets, the walls were scuffed up, big spiders were everywhere. in addition, it was terribly dark, like in a basement The rooms have such doors that you can hear everything outside. We arrived very late, on the second day we asked for a change of room, the gentleman at the reception said that they do not have other rooms. then we asked if they could refund some of our money and we would go to another hotel the next few days. the answer was not positive. therefore we packed our bags and moved to another clean hotel. While we leaving the receptionist said that we have to return the key, but we did not understand why, because we paid for 4 days. Now the comedy begins. the next day the police came to our new hotel and ask why we took the keys. we explained that that we have paid and we will return the keys on Friday, i.e. until the day on which we have paid. We handed over the keys on Friday. this is definitely not a hotel at the level it is labeled here! our mistake that we booked for 4 days.

Very nice property and very friendly and helpful staff. The food at the restaurant was amazing! Close to a gorgeous private beach to which you get access (4-5min walk)

The hotel is located in the street right behind the great 5 stars resorts, 5 min walking to the beach. The rooms are very spacious, with very comfortable beds, safe to keep your belongings, AC working perfectly and good water pressure in the shower. The swimming pool is nice. The breakfast is simple but good. The two young ladies at the breakfast room/restaurant were the highlight of this hotel: Monica and Umi! Sweet, helpful, smiling, very kind! ❤️❤️ You made our good memories of this hotel!

At check-in, we were "welcomed" by someone not friendly. Too serious, with zero patience for new guests. As I work in the Tourism industry, I told this person that smiling when welcoming guests is very important. In general the staff here were too serious and a bit cold. They solved the issues we had during our stay, but we never felt welcomed (we stayed in other hotels in Zanzibar before coming to Kendwa, so we know the Zanzibarians are friendly and welcoming). To go to the beach, they will give you a bracelet that gives you access to the "Kendwa Rocks" Resort, where you can use the sunbeds for free. All the world will be at this resort! :(( All the sunbeds are close to each other and you have zero privacy... a group of young French people (in their 20s) brought a loudspeaker, and played their annoying music, not giving a damn about the other clients... and the staff wouldn't say anything. Uff! What an experience! :( We ended up leaving the "Natural Kendwa Villa" 3 days earlier (losing the money we paid for the whole stay) and went back to Paje, much more peaceful, and where we felt at home. If you can afford to pay a little bit more, choose another hotel, where you will have privacy, and a better service.

Great location, hotel facilities and room was perfect, and staff were absolutely amazing. Big shout out to the guys on reception who were very helpful, Omi in the restaurant who has such a beautiful happy soul, and Queen in the spa who is as wise as she is wonderful! Everything was perfect - would definitely recommend. Kendwa beach by far the most stunning beach!

The staff made our stay. Everyone is extremely professional and attentive. The Spa is amazing and Queenie the Spa Manager gives a fantastic treatment. The bar staff in particular Ali & Monica gave us excellent service.

Well managed, very friendly stuff, spacious and clean rooms, nice pool. Nearby Kendwa Beach is the best choice on Sansibar.

Not located directly at the beach, a few minutes of walking is required. Occasionally, there were some noisy generators working nearby in another hotel.

Everything was great, food is very delicious and tasty, spa is excellent, beach is private (shared with Kendwa rock hotel) and very clean, 2 min walk from the hotel. Swiming pool and area around pool is also very nice. People who work in hotel are very nice and kind and I would specially like to thank to Umi, Moana and Monika.

The room was very nice, big and clean. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh food every day. We had a very warm hospitality from all the staff.

noise. you can barely sleep after sunrise as crows does not stop singing and this continues till midnight. do not get fooled by "private beach" words because there is no such a thing, you will be using "the rocks hotel" beach for free. and the hotel is unnecessarily expensive.

power was out for 16 hours, no offer of discount or help to move to different hotel. no WI-FI in room (Nzuri), A/C needed service, quite expensive for not being beachside.

The staff were the real highlight! Super friendly and helpful, they all were so pleasant to deal with and assisted us in booking extra tours etc. The rooms are spacious and have all necessary amenities (air con, wifi, good showers, comfortable). The hotel is a short walk to a beautiful beach with access to private lounge chairs. The on-site facilities of the pool, spa and restaurant were great.
