The apartment was very clean and cozy. The location was also great, and we easily found parking for the beach across the road. We ended up extending a day because of how much we enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I stayed in the dojo for a long weekend to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We were very pleased with our stay! The place is very inviting and impeccably clean. The bed was super comfy and the little jacuzzi was perfect way to unwind from our drive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the dojo and would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful Mini Escape
This place is the perfect escape for a couple that doesn’t mind going out to eat or picking food up. The unit provides all you need for rest and relaxation, and the tub was a nice bonus. The whole building is two stories, so you may hear people above you, but it’s not horrible in which it would make your stay unpleasant.

Exactly as listed. Host was very responsive. The Dojo was immaculately clean and neat. A really nice cozy couples spot to retreat from the beach or day outings!! Highly recommended. The surrounding area was quiet and peaceful. We really found our Zen.

Fantastic and Relaxing
My wife and I visited the Modern Dojo on our first trip to the OBX. Artim was fantastic as a host and we found everything exactly as it had been described. The best part of the stay was how clean the entire house was. It was very apparent that Artim has great attention to detail and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
BEACH ACCESS NOTE: Even though this is across the highway from the beach, it is SUPER easy to get to the beach from this VRBO. Simply drive directly across the street and enjoy free parking and easy beach access. We spent hours each day on the beach because it was so convenient!

Spotlessly clean! Mobility limited guests may have difficulty with the seating area, it is very low to the floor. Hence the name “Dojo”, should have thought of that when booking.

This was a last minute weekend trip away. This quaint little gem is so stylish! Everything was as described. It was just the right size for a weekend getaway. The owner was so easy to work with. Great communication and elevated customer service! We will definitely be back!!!
