Was good house to stay with the family

We had a girls weekend and we enjoyed ourselves! We had the best time hanging by the pool and it was so relaxing! There was plenty of room to accommodate our group of 14 and the place was clean. It’s the perfect distance away from the city life but just a short distance to Galveston!

We had a great time, as always. Just a few tips I have: need about 5 umbrellas to have around the pool for some shade. The kids didn’t want to even get in it because it felt like a hot tub.

Absolutely loved everything about this house! My family and I go to Galveston/ Jamaica beach every year multiple times a year and I have never stayed at a house that my whole family has loved so much. This house will ALWAYS, be our go to house to book during vacation. The host was absolutely an amazing host ! The kids loved the pool the house was big and beautiful! Just an amazing stay!

The house was under construction and none of that was told to us a head of time. The house could use a fresh coat of paint and many update repairs, the window covering were ripped and lots of paint chipping. The bedding didn’t appear to be cleaned and if it was then it’s stained. We had 16 people stating there for 5 days and was given minimal paper towels, TP, and not cleaning supplies. When we sent to do laundry the drain was directly over the breaker box, however I did call maintenance and they came within 30min to direct the water to the other side or the house. Overall worked for us just not worth the spring steak pricing.

Home was spacious and clean but in need of updating. It is a nice house that could accommodate 16 or 17 people. It was nice having 3 bathrooms.
Coffee and pepper was provided, so you need to bring your salt and any other items for cooking.
Even with its shortcoming, I would rent again if I had a large group with a boat attending.
I was unable to communicate with our host, it was a Webb problem. I had to call the management office to get a key to the entrance, which was missing and had to use the janitor lock box. They were very helpful.

This Jamaica Beach house was great! There were 14 of us there and we had an amazing time fishing off the dock and enjoying time on the back porch overlooking the canal! The house was very clean! I had to communicate with the owner during our stay and he replied quickly!

We had the best time!! There were 16 of us l. This home had plenty of room.... great neighborhood and cute home. Great response from the host. The few problems we had were taken care of quickly. Would definitely stay again!

First impression of the house was not great lots of trash in the front yard by the trash cans also roaches were all over the air conditioner couldn't keep up the deck on the patio on the back had a lot of Hazards there needs to be a lot of work done to that house it's not very safe for kids or families also the people across the street parking in the street made it difficult to pull out

The house is in a good location away from the craziness of downtown Galveston and a short drive away from beach access. The house has all the essentials, plenty of space, and is clean. We were able to fish and crab off the deck as well.
The drawbacks I saw
- boat dock is missing a few boards and dips in one spot
- Master shower missing door. Shower curtain in it's place

This property had everything we were looking for. We wanted something quiet, on the water, and great for kids to explore and have fun in the sun. This checked all the boxes.
The property is actually not located exactly where we thought it was so we were surprised to discover it was on the opposite side of the street than where we wanted (we wanted bay side rather than shallow canal), but it was great. It worked well for our needs.
There are plenty of bunk beds so it can accommodate a large group (two rooms downstairs with two bunk beds each) and three rooms on the main level one of which also has a king size bed and side room with two more bunk beds).
Worked out well for our group!

The house was clean and beautiful with spacious decks in the front and back of the house . There were plenty of towels in each room for everyone to use. My elderly parents mostly stayed in the house so they enjoyed the large living room and the back deck with the view of pretty sunrise and sunsets. My brother brought his boat and took family members around the neighborhood canal touring and also went day and night fishing with his friend. And the neighborhood is really pretty; my husband enjoyed long walks around the block just looking at the views. We were just a short drive to Jamaica beach so the family got to enjoy swimming then coming back to the house for meals. Our young adults even rented bikes to explore the neighborhood. Overall we greatly enjoyed our stay at Jamaica Cove.

We had a good size group and this home has lots of beds to accommodate all of us. The breeze way was great during a short rainy spell we could still be outside to enjoy the ocean air.

I recently stayed at this home on a canal in Jamaica Beach. It was an incredible experience. The fishing was amazing. In the evening, we enjoyed drinks and cooked up a delicious fish dinner. The house was clean and comfortable, and had a great outdoor area for relaxing.

The house was good for our stay and roomy, the water pressure was extremely low, pots and pans limited and need updating. But we made memories with family and friends for our 8th year at the LSR.

Very impressed with the home. Loved the way the home was organized to allow for separation of our youth. The only thing missing was an outside shower to reduce the amount of sand on the floors, as well as there was not an available broom to sweep the floors.

Beautiful property
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house! Love Jamaica Beach and loved this house. Plenty of room for everyone to be together but still have privacy. The house was clean and updated with seemingly brand new appliances and cookware. LOTS of beautiful outdoor seating spaces where you can choose to be under a cover or in the sun. Russell answered all of our questions and was very helpful. We will be staying here again!

Great family gathering place.
Our family group ranged from age 80 down to 7, we had four couples and four kids. We could have used one more queen bed as the bunks aren’t too couple friendly but there was certainly enough sleeping space for eleven of us. The expanded dining table on the porch seated us all (we added two chairs from those we brought for the beach) and the canal provided endless entertainment swimming, fishing and kayaking. The inside of the house was clean and the kitchen well stocked. The outside was a little rough in places and the bedrooms downstairs could use more outlets (only one could be found in each) and perhaps a chair or two downstairs would be good too. If you have a boat, bring it, or kayaks and canoes are wonderful additions as well.

House needs lots of maintenance, porch maintenance mainly it shakes a lot, several of the wood pickets are loose and rotted. Manager was extremely nice and accommodating, I have informed him of the current condition of the house.

Family Getaway
My daughter asked to go to the beach for her birthday instead of a party. We wanted a place big enough for my extended family. This was the best! I am always worried when renting a place I have not seen before but this house and location were amazing! Russell is a kind, attentive host. I never had a question because everything was noted for me. This place was cleaned immaculately and is better than the pictures! I can’t wait to go back!

Great Short Stay
Perfect 1-night getaway for Columbus Day weekend. Plenty of excess room for 2 adults and 5 kids. Very clean and well decorated. Host was very responsive with detailed check-in and check-out instructions. Will definitely come back for longer...and maybe with another family.

Family trip Summer 2021
This was an end of summer trip for my family. With one having just graduated high school and another going into his junior year, we wanted to take advantage of the time we have left with them at home, and the family decided to spend some time in Galveston. The home was beautiful, above and beyond our expectations and the Beachbox team were incredible. They worked with us on an early checkin and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves! The beach was quiet for a summer weekend, and the neighborhood is great! We are hoping to return next Summer!

Family get away
It was a very nice time we have not seen my mother,my only brother and his family in 3years due to COVID-19 and us moving to TN.. We loved fishing there and cooking out and just having a really good time. Thank you for that.

Good house for big group
Property host, location, check in process was great! House was clean and worked for great for our family dynamic. The only disappointment was that the pictures on line do not reflect the the age of the home and actual furniture. Outside of the home really needs some attention. We had a good time and would recommend but for the price we will probably opt out of renting this home again and try another place.

Great place
This was a great house. Had everything we needed. I read other reviews before coming and back balcony was fine. Pics could be updated as far as furniture goes but still very comfortable. This house is perfect for large groups. It was just my family of 4 staying. I will definitely stay again!
