Excellent apartment for a good price very close to the beach. You came out of the apartment, turn left or right and after 25m you're by the sea promenade. Nice furniture and no sun to overheat the room (very important in the hot Canarian summer). Great deal if the owners give up the practices mentioned under "What didn't you like?" They would then get a full 10!

Two things We were told the owner would block 300 EUR on my card which money will be released a week or two after departure. I asked the agent and she told me that it's common practice since some tourists have parties and destroy property. I find it highly questionable and unacceptable, since there is no protocol signed between the agent and the renters to determine the state of the apartment upon departure. The owner can put any value and it's impossible for the renter to refute the allegation. Booking.com should not be complicit in this policy. The cleaning fee was listed as 55 EUR which I think does not correspond to the real cleaning price. I wish to see the bill stating that the owner paid a private cleaning company this money which even in Germany would mean more than two hours' work.
