Absolutely everything was amazingly lives up to its luxury description

Rosedale Cottage was a fabulous place to stay. It was clean, beds were comfortable and communication with the hosts was excellent. The bathroom was modern, and the shower large with plenty of hot water. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans, dishes, etc. Being able to use the washing machine was very helpful. Free parking across the street was great.

The outside of the property doesn't do justice to the lovely cottagey feel inside. Plenty of space, especially in the kitchen diner, great lounge with a lovely log burner, pretty cottage garden and stunning Moorland scenery all around. Lots of little touches - Alexa in the kitchen for my kids to torment with questions, banana bread waiting for us on arrival, wine and pizza in the kitchen if needed in an emergency. We loved it and had a wonderful time exploring the moors and coastline. A great find.

Lovely cottage, lovely area, lovely staff, lovely cake from Graze on the Green, lovely, lovely, lovely! The cottage had everything you need. Beds were surprisingly comfortable. I always struggle to sleep on the first night in a new bed, but didn't with these. Parking on site, shop which was 1 minute walk away, towels and bed linen were provided with plenty pillows. Even got a robe and slippers which were a nice extra touch. The banana cake went down well with the whole family. Plenty board games and books too. Made to feel very welcome! Thank you Peter and Sally.

What a find! Very comfortable and clean cottage with up to date furnishings and a homely feel. The surrounding scenery is stunning. The people in Rosedale are so friendly and our hosts were welcoming and contactable if we needed anything. We loved popping across the green for a slice of cake and the fish and chip van on Friday evening!

Even before arrival you knew you was going to looked after, i recieved informative and helpful emails from peter and Sally and both went above and beyond in getting sleeping requirements sorted well before arrival. Even on arrival we was welcomed and had a nice little chat on local amenities, attractions etc. Which i must say were superb. We will be returning without a shadow of a doubt. Amazing and a home from home. Thank you so much

Sally and Peter have created a wonderful holiday home that has everything we needed for our stay. The cottage has very spacious rooms, everything is good quality and beautifully done. We felt comfortable and at home from the minute we stepped inside the door. The location is perfect for exploring both the coast and country.

The cottage is comfortable and very nicely furnished and had everything that we could need for our stay. The kitchen was particularly well stocked with lovely crockery, plenty of saucepans and cooking utensils and a very good cooker and fridge freezer. The friendly owners met us to hand over keys and talk us through the facilities and give advice about the area - and had baked a delicious cake, (Thank you!) We had a great holiday.

Everything was wonderful. The host left us a lovely cake, plenty of good information about the area. The rooms were comfortable. Hot water on demand was a lovely touch. The area was beautiful.

The cottage was attractive and comfortable. The garden was an unexpected bonus and was great for sitting out in the sun. Rosedale itself is a lovely place with opportunities for walking and discovery close by.

The house was a real living home, as if to continue living in a non sterilised, impersonal, somebody else's property but in a lovable spirited nest inside in one of the most beautiful sceneries of the UK. The owner was patiently waiting us at the house as we delayed coming from the airport! He received us with an extraordinary warm and friendly hospitality with a freshly baked banana bread, but also with lots of quality cooking ingredients in the kitchen (not the standard basic ones as we all experience in the the well reviewed properties). These 'touches' among many other obvious but also almost an abundance of unnoticed details made all the four members of the family to feel at HOME.

The Rosedale cottage was lovely, tucked away in a rural village down in a valley of Yorkshire National Moors park. Both hosts were very helpful, even though we arrived before the agreed time, they got us in and welcomed with locally baked hot cross buns. The cottage was equipped to a 5 star hotels' standard. Beds were very comfortable, logs for the log burner, well stocked wine rack. Good size fridge (important when travelling with the family). Sky Tv and good WiFi signal was crucial as mobile reception was poor, but wifi calling did the trick. The village had couple of shops and few pubs with good food as well as café with exceptionally good coffee and freshly baked cakes. Kids playground nearby. Most importantly, I think it's a place to go for families who like to spend their days doing the walks, visiting places and coming back for a quick bbq, wine and good nights sleep. There is a lot to see, beautiful surroundings even for an evening stroll straight from the cottage. Thank you once again Pete and Sally for a long needed break in your beautiful cottage.

A very well refurbished and comfortable cottage in the centre of the Yorkshire Moors. Sally and Peter are excellent hosts who really make an effort to ensure your stay is enjoyable.

Sally and Pete we're the perfect hosts . The beautiful cottage was a lovely place to stay . They went the extra mile to make our stay special i.e dressing gowns , slippers the wine rack and pizzas . The garden was beautiful ,such a delightful treasure. We will definitely return . Thank you Karen

Rosedale Abbey is a great location for exploring the North York Moors and Coast. The cottage is in the centre of the village, very convenient for the shop, cafe and pub. It is clean, cosy and comfortable and very well equipped. Sally and Peter are lovely and gave us some good suggestions for walks.

The cottage is on the main road through the village: although it wasn't busy during our stay, it perhaps could be in peak season.

Fabulous property, very comfortable, lovely garden and lots of little extra touches.

The steepness of the hills getting in and out of the village!

Peter and Sally were the perfect hosts, keeping us updated before our arrival, greeting us and even baking a loaf of banana and chocolate bread. The cottage was immaculate with the added luxuries of dressing gowns and slippers. The location was ideal for the coast and the moors. So relaxing. We will be back!

We had a brilliant stay in this beautiful and comfortable cottage. The village is so pretty and peaceful but a short drive to all the attractions of the area. A week was not enough to see everything. The beds were so comfy and the garden perfect for a relaxing drink among the flowers and birds. Many thanks to our helpful and welcoming hosts!

Gorgeous cottage, decorated to a very high standard. Lovely extra touches like dressing gowns and slippers and an extremely tasty homemade banana and chocolate loaf on arrival. Beautiful garden area with cosy greenhouse to sit out in the evenings.
