Fabulous host who goes above and beyond. Milk, bread, butter, eggs, wine, tea, coffee and chocolates, snacks and home made cakes greeted us on arrival. The accommodation and value for money is second to none. Gorgeous comfy beds with lovely mattress toppers and linen. Free and easy parking. Beautiful surroundings.

This was a lovely property with plenty of character. Rooms were large and everything was very clean. The property was well equipped and had a lovely garden which we had access to. It was in a very convenient location being near some pubs and plenty of shops. Newcastle and the coast line were within easy reach. Our host even brought in our washing while we were out and offered us an extra complimentary night as road conditions on the the day we left were so poor.

Absolutely beautiful place with gorgeous view. Rooms were huge and spotless. Absolutely everything you can think of was provided, and the food hamper left for us was so generous and useful!

We stayed to visit family in the area - have always stayed at premier inn Holystone for convenience- would have always stayed here if we had known about it - was recommended Field House by a member of the family who works for tourist information

Marylyn was there to welcome us to the property and guide us through her lovely house. The property itself is very charming and decorated beautifully with lots of period features and all the creature comforts one could want for a short stay. The location is superb being so close to all local amenities, but still with a beautiful rural outlook. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, and are sure it will be sooner rather than later.

We returned for our second family holiday in two years at Field House. The accommodation and garden are a haven. Light, spacious, comfortable, quiet, warm and very well equipped. Marilyn’s customer care, welcome, responsiveness and approachability are second to none. All whilst allowing us our privacy. There is so much to see and do in the local area (glorious beaches, historical sites, cafes, restaurants, gardens, parks, museums etc) and we always felt Covid safe (at the house and out and about

Attending Daughters wedding. The Field House, was the perfect location for us. Would definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend.

Booked Field House for three nights initially and later extended our stay by one night due to flight changes. Marilyn was great at helping me sort this out, great communication before we arrived ( and after, as I left a few bits behind!). The flat is comfortable and superbly equipped, and in such a pretty location.

The house was fabulous. 3 of us visited Newcastle-upon-Tyne for the rugby weekend. Found this location last minute and we absolutely loved it. Marilyn was a great host. Definitely looking to book again.

Excellent staycation! Very generous host, leaving lots of lovely welcome treats. We loved the huge garden and seeing the beautiful horses over the fence, even my teenagers enjoyed their stay!
