We had a great weekend in Mr Dora. Our event was dow town and this cottage is perfectly located, clean & creatively styled. The kitchen is immaculate. Love the laundry option!

We have Forever Friends that had never been to Mt. Dora, We try to celebrate each New Years Eve together… This year we rented The Fisherman’s Cottage and the four of us all fell in Love the minute we opened the door… From the Marine Art throughout the cottage, to the kindness of our hosts, the City of Mt. In all of Mount Dora, Liz and Lee’s rentals are where we love to stay. We have never been disappointed! Pictures can’t tell the full story because The Fisherman’s Cottage is full of jaw dropping fantasy decor of the sea. Whimsical and interesting every place you look. Their homes are always comfortable, well appointed, fresh and sparkling clean with plenty of extras for the vacationer. Liz thinks of everything to make your stay fun and surprising & is the consummate host! The cottage is an easy stroll to the downtown area where the shops and restaurants beckon. Their 3 homes range in size & each have a different decor & vibe. Dive deep into The Fisherman’s Cottage, a home that is fully stocked with thoughtful green products & top of the line appliances. The home is sparkling clean, so inviting & downright fun. We love the easy walk to Mount Dora’s downtown. That way you always have a parking spot & get a little exercise at the same time. Liz & Lee think of everything & go out of their way to make sure your stay is special. You won’t want to leave, you will want to stay lost at sea in the Fisherman’s Cottage!

The cottage is great. It's very comfortable, fully equipped and conveniently located for downtown. We really enjoyed our stay. Liz and Lee couldn't have been more helpful.

This was the perfect quaint getaway experience. The decor was second to none, with many unique and beautiful adornments that could be found just about everywhere, and even places you wouldn't expect to find them. The house was fully stocked with everything one could imagine, including pots and pans, toiletries, condiments and spices, and extra towels and linens. Lee was so kind, and started communicating with me shortly after the booking, which made check-in an absolute breeze. She also welcomed us with special fresh bakery treats, along with a beautiful personalized welcome letter. I would recommend this to anyone who loves to be near the center of a beautiful town, but tucked away into a beautiful neighborhood. The porches are also wonderful, for those who like enjoying listening to the birds or enjoying natural surroundings. It was an amazing getaway! I would recommend it to anyone!

The cottage & hosts are the best VRBO I've stayed in! We're 2 old fishing partners that have aged with arthritis & the location couldn't have been better for a short walk into town for the Christmas Lighting Festival, Shopping & eating. The cottage has everything & more. Our host Liz & Lee had left us with cute little blue eggs & cookies. What a great arrival gift! We are definitely planning our next trip there. Liz & Lee have other properties close to town for a larger group &/or Family but for just the 2 of us the Fishermans Cottage was perfect!

The property is absolutely adorable. We were very impressed by the care and cleanliness. The property manager genuinely cares that your experience is all that it can be. Short walk to downtown and community events. It is a great getaway to a small friendly town that all should enjoy.

We had an awesome stay in the “Fisherman’s cottage”. Our host, Liz, was easy to communicate with about bringing a boat and very detail oriented in preparation for our arrival. Lots of surprises in the home as well as stocked necessities. We had such a good time in the community and hope to stay again soon!

This cottage was absolutely amazing there was so much cool art in the home we so enjoyed . And the owners had the best hospitality . The home was clean and we felt so at home . Cannot wait to come back we enjoyed our weekend here it was so much fun.

We have stayed in many Vrbo’s but by far this has been one of my favorites. It is nestled in a cute little neighborhood great for walking and exploring. There is absolutely nothing that you will need while staying here Liz has thought of everything.It is fully equipped more than any place we have stayed. The artwork is amazing just when you think you have seen all of it you find another hidden Treasure. The Fisherman’s Cottage is not a house you want to miss out on it is a true 10. I cannot possibly say enough positive compliments about this cottage and owner. We arrived late and the lights and a/c were on. There were cookies, a card, and fresh eggs in the fridge. Everything, right down to the flatware and towels, are tippy-top shelf. Updated with all the modern conveniences but maintained all the cottage charm and woodwork. Screened porch, front and back. And the wonderfully eclectic decor was so much fun. And no chores before you leave. When you see me next, I will be sure to stay longer, laugh more, and let the tranquility seep into my bones. Absolutely adorable cottage fully equipped with everything you might need and more. Even better than the pictures. The front and back porch are great spots to relax and unwind. Left the car parked all weekend and walked to everything. House is spotless. Liz also is a wonderful host.

This is our second time staying at this property. This cottage is located within walking distance to the shops, restaurants and lake. Great communication with the owners who are always very accommodating and so nice to deal with. They even provided fresh farm eggs for breakfast! The house is kept in an immaculate condition on a lovely street. Looking forward to my next visit and counting the days!

If we could give The Fisherman’s Cottage six stars, we would! Liz and Lee were awesome hosts and clearly take pride in this place. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, the WiFi was terrific, the neighborhood was quiet, and the location was superb. Because we’re digital nomads, we’ve stayed in a variety of places and have been lucky to find mostly comfortable, pleasant locations. Not only is The Fisherman's Cottage comfortable, but it was entertaining - the decorative features often made us smile and lent an uplifting air to our stay. If you’re a walker, you’d be delighted. The neighborhood was very walkable and within easy walking distance of the historical center of Mount Dora, with all its shops and restaurants, as well as parks such as Palm Island Park. It was also close to the lovely local library, grocery stores, and other shops and services. Would definitely stay here again!

We had an extended stay at the beautiful, historic Fisherman’s Cottage near downtown Mt Dora. A superb cottage and cute town! Just a short, safe walk to downtown that is full of shops, restaurants, and bars. Lake Dora is right in the downtown, where you can fish off the pier, or launch you boat. It’s also a great place to watch the sunset. The cottage was exceptionally clean. Liz and Lee think of everything you might need during your stay. Night lights throughout the house. All kitchen appliances and utensils and cleaning supplies. Smart TV in the living room and master bedroom. Plenty of closet space. Washer and dryer with laundry soap. Plenty of bathroom soaps and toiletries. Most of the time, we need to bring all of these items along when we travel, but you'll find everything you need is provided. The front porch is awesome. We spent many nights out there having drinks, reading books, listening to the crickets, and watching the neighbors walk by with their dogs. If you like more privacy, there’s a nice large back porch to sit. Both are screened in. You’ll love the unique artwork throughout the house as it’s a marvel to see. Liz is an extraordinary hostess and communicator. She provided information in advance of our stay and responded to all inquiries quickly. Thanks Liz and Lee for a remarkable, memorable stay.

It was a delightful, newly decorated bungalow, with virtually every amenity you could want or need. The hosts were informative and helpful throughout our stay and the location is just a short walk to main street touring and shopping.

We spent 3 days exploring downtown…so much to see and the holiday lights made it extra special. The cottage is always super clean, and the hosts think of everything and more!!
