This house was great for a weekend away with friends. The views are spectacular, and the location is great. Close to everything but far enough to seem like you’re in another world. Shaun was great to work with and was very helpful with any questions I had beforehand. I would recommend this home to anyone traveling to the area. If the chance comes up to stay again, I surely will!

This place was absolutely perfect for our two families. We had 5 children from 2 to 10, and 5 adults. Words cannot do justice to how breathtaking the sunsets are. The proximity to the beach (right outside the door!) cannot be beat. We listened to the waves lapping on the shore the entire time. Shaun was so very helpful and responsive immediately responding to the few questions we had. He even mailed a left-behind stuffed animal back to us! If you are coming to the shore and are looking for a quiet and beautiful place that is only 15 mins from the town of Cape Charles, this is the place. Look no more! We will be back.

Beautiful private beach location. Amazing ocean views from every room in the house and all you hear are the sound of the waves every night. The extra amenities (hot tub, bikes, kayaks) were a welcome bonus. Owner was super helpful the night of our arrival. We would love to stay here again!

We really enjoyed this beachfront & home. Property was better than the pictures. The house was well maintained, very clean, & had all the ammenities that you would expect in a property in this price range. Neal was wonderful to work with. A true host!! We hope to return in the future for another wonderful week.

All was good until the last night when the wifi pw changed. Accessing the detached garage was cumbersome.

The home is peaceful and it was a perfect place for us to disconnect from everything and enjoy watching the water, sunsets, birds and dolphins. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook great meals. One note of caution is that the home is elevated so it may be challenging for those struggling with stairs but there is a bedroom on the main floor (about 20 stairs up).

This home and it's location on the bay is simply unmatched on the Eastern Shore. It's the perfect place to hit the reset button and enjoy some quiet solitude. Place was extremely relaxing! We all had a great time and time flew by way to fast! The views were stunning and the house had everything we needed. What an amazing week we spent at Cape Charles. The beach house was very comfortable, clean and very spacious, the best part is that you had the whole beach for yourself and your family. Truly precious memories for us as a family and extended family to keep.

My husband and I spent a week at this property with our 5 grown children. Wow! What a great property - very clean, many amenities, amazing location, and Neal was very accessible and attentive throughout the week.

WOW!!! This location on the beach is truly unbeatable!! Beautiful sunsets, miles of private beach....We felt like we were on our own island with no one in sight. Not too much going on in town but we had great food at Kelly’s Pub. If you’re looking to get away from it all and just hang on the beach, this is a place for you!! Would definitely recommend.

We so thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Picketts Harbor. The house is amazingly private, quiet, and peaceful. It’s the perfect place to unplug and get away from the hustle of life. The house is spacious, exceptionally clean, and the views are amazing. The beach is so close, it feels like an extension of the house. You can open the doors to the patio and hear the gentle waves rolling into shore. Walk out the back and you are steps away from what feels like a mile of completely private beach. We literally never saw another person along the beach in the three days of our stay. Going in March, we knew the weather would be cool. So we did not take advantage of any water activities in the bay. But the walks along the shore were amazing and the hot tub was a great alternative (and super clean as well). The house is dog friendly, even for big dogs, as long as they’re well behaved and stay off the furniture. A couple things to consider: (1) there is no elevator and all the living portions of the house are above the garage level. So if climbing stairs is difficult, this is not the spot for you. (2) WiFi is there, but the signal wasn’t the strongest. So this may not be the best place to work remotely if that is what you’re looking for. The owner (Neal) could not have been more accommodating. Very thorough with instructions leading up to check-in and super responsive throughout the process. While private, you are only a short drive (10-15 minutes) into downtown Cape Charles. We were off season, so some stores and restaurants had limited hours or were closed. But the places that were open were very good and the people in town were very friendly. In sum, this was a great little find and worth a return trip!
