It is such a blessing to stay in Tom's home. This is our second year and we are booked to return next year. We love the location, the home suits all of our needs and the kitchen is perfect for a large group. Tom has made and continues to improve things in this home. He asked for suggestions and really cares about his home and your vacation. Cannot wait to go back next year.

Unfortunately, someone or something had urinated in one of the upstairs bedrooms and it stunk! The upstairs carpets were filthy and stained. Two of the deck chairs were broken due to wood rot. Two children got splinters from the upper and lower decks; these should be replaced with Timbertech/Trek composites. Previous renters seemed to be quite dirty? We texted the owner, and on the second day, he had someone come and shampoo the carper with urine stink, and some of the large stains. There were several cracked glassware hidden in bac when we arrived. It is a beautiful house and great location, but seems to have taken a beating from the renters

The owner was very cordial. The rental was nice but somewhat dated. Loved the kitchen/dining area. Pool was wonderful.

This house was perfect for our friend reunion trip with six families total. Everyone had a blast from six months to six years and everywhere in between. We appreciated having the pool and also appreciated the safety measures including secure fencing, and latched gates. Enjoyed many meals I n the spacious kitchen and table. Perfect location, walked to the nearby playground! Hope to come back!

We had a fantastic vacation and this property was perfect! Plenty of room for our group. We had great fun at the pool and foosball tournaments upstairs. Also able to have separate down time when needed. The beach was gorgeous with many hours spent relaxing. The owner was communicative and thorough. Absolutely no issues at all!

The property was as advertised. The group we had really enjoyed everything the house had to offer and the owner was fantastic! I definitely recommend this house if you have a large group of family.

Wow! Wow! Wow! OIB is a hidden gem on the coast of NC. This property is the 2nd hidden gem on the coast of NC. The property offers private bathrooms for each bedroom, so no one has to share a potty! We stayed with 11 families (mostly adults) who traveled to the coast for a baseball tournament. Our boys stayed with the team at another location, so we decided to stay together too. This property had plenty of space to hang out and plenty of privacy too. The balconies were absolutely perfect (front and back) for relaxing and offered breathtaking views. The kitchen was huge and nicely stocked with small appliances and cookware. I don’t think I have ever seen so much silverware… ha! We had 12 cars and everyone had a place to park too. The owner was very responsive and a pleasure to talk to. He wanted to be sure we had access to everything we needed while we stayed. The only downside is that we should have booked for the entire week. No one wanted to leave.

This house was perfect for our multi-generation family trip. It was very clean, organized, and had everything we could have possibly needed. It was just as described and no surprises. It was wonderful that we could all be together in one space or easily retreat to our own space all under one roof. The dining table was large enough that we were ALL able to sit at the same table for dinners. That never gets to happen even during holidays so what a treat. The owner was spectacular with communication. He was very thorough with directions and quick to respond if we had any questions. This vacation could not have been better.

Such a great week. Our sister Robin wanted a family vacation like they had when she was young. This home was perfect for the 20 of us. Catered meals, beach relaxation and pool time too. Also loved that we could walk to mini golf, Robin's favorite.

Beautiful home, better than the pictures!

The house was absolutely perfect for our weeklong family reunion at the beach. Wonderful kitchen for large family meals. Each bedroom was spacious with its own bathroom giving each family plenty of space. The common areas were also large enough to support large gatherings for family game nights and hanging out. The beach and pool were the highlights of each day and provided memories that will last forever.

We really enjoyed this property! There were 21 adults and 5 children with plenty of room for all. The kitchen had all you could ask for! We spent a lot of time in the pool and there were even beach items to use!

My fiancé & I had a joint bachelor/ bachelorette party with a group of 19 friends/family between the ages of 30-45. Everyone had an amazing time on the property as a group and enjoyed going on their own to explore the town. The all-inclusive large kitchen with 2 refrigerators was so helpful with hosting. We LOVED all of the beach items provided! Absolutely beautiful and amazing stay.

We had a great Family Reunion with 28 family members. House was in a great location, roomy and spacious. We had plenty of room. The amenities were wonderful as described and our host Dr Hyde was very easy to work with and so accommodating. We appreciate his Christian hospitality.

We rented this home for our family and friends plus the 75 guests who arrived for our wedding September 4th. We had more than enough space to hold our wedding ceremony around the pool, guests were seated and standing, everyone had a great view from the balconies and ground level. We decided to get married at the pool to avoid the wind and so people could actually hear what we are saying, it created a small arena feeling surrounded by our guests. Tom is an amazing host and made sure everything in the house was perfect for our long weekend Labor Day stay. We were able to accommodate both sides of our families and some friends, while others rented houses nearby in walking distance so we became “home base” for long wonderful beach days. The house is so spacious and well designed you could be together or have some time to do your own thing. The kitchen and dining area is perfect for entertaining with an open floor plan and ocean view. Everything you need is already there. If you have smaller children who can’t beach it all day the pool is an awesome break for parents. For any event or family vacation I highly recommend this but this home :) thank you again Tom! Even a week later I’m still hearing from our guests BEST wedding ever!

Great setup for big family and multiple age groups. Kitchen was great for cooking. Best stocked/organized kitchen that we’ve had. Best host who was friendly and helpful

As advertised, plenty of room, well laid out, great beach. I would say only negative is not good for senior citizens, small bathrooms, lots of stairs. Overall, it was perfect.

Tom was the most attentive host I have ever experienced in all my VRBO rentals (and I have rented a lot). He quickly answered all my questions and provided a detailed layout of the house in advance. The house was spotless and the kitchen had everything you would ever need. Cabinets were labeled for ease of finding what you needed. There was even a picture inside each cabinet of what should be included so you were always wondering where dishes go after washing them. The house accommodates a crowd with ease and never felt cramped. The pool was a hit after a long day at the beach. The views from the top deck were amazing.

This house was perfect for our families to gather for our vow renewal ceremony. There was plenty of space for everyone to separate as needed, easily done with two large living areas. The tropical pool setting was perfect for our ceremony and party. The kitchen was fully equipped and the two large decks were outstanding for the family to rock away the evenings together. Superb home for large family get togethers.

The house was what we needed! One suggestion, a wet swifter mop would be nice to have supplied for renters to mop spills.

My family had a wonderful time!! The beach had just reopened and we didn't know what to expect. The house itself was clean and had all the needed appliances and kitchenware. We spent a lot of time at the house pool socializing especially after being on the beach most of the day. We cooked a lot and the grocery stores were well stocked. We had food delivered to us from a local restaurant one night, we rented bikes and we fished on the pier - all while social distancing. I had a lot of contact with the owner because we didn't know if the beach would be open or not. He literally got back in touch with me right away. The location was perfect and with my large family, I highly recommend this house.

Property was in great condition upon arrival. Great location and easy peasy steps to beach- even accessible to some folks with knee/walking issues. Kitchen fully stocked with all appliances needed. Nice walk to ice cream shop/little arcade and mini golf. Lots of shells to collect! Beds were comfy. Don’t forget towels! Craig was immediately responsive to questions! Would definitely return

This was the PERFECT spot for a large family retreat on the beach! We loved the child friendly home in a marvelous location on Ocean Isle Beach. The owner was easily accessible to our needs. Highly recommended.
