Clean and comfortable. with a great deck and fire pit. Easy drive to Friday Harbor but an easier drive to Roche Harbor which is much more laidback.

I just had a great stay at the place! The pictures are a great representation of the place! The deck is amazing. The location was great for us and the place was clean when we arrived. It also had really nice kitchen utensils and cooking pans! It perfect for family dinner. I would recommend staying here!

We had a great visit to Roche Harbor. The house is in a lovely wooded neighborhood and has a nice deck, living room and kitchen. Bathrooms are a little bit tired but overall we had a good stay and the property manager's communication/response to questions and feedback was amazingly quick and super friendly.

Beautiful, well stocked and maintained home. This home is very comfortable and in a perfect location on the island. Internet was excellent which was unexpected but so appreciated! I highly recommend this rental.

We had a lovely time at your property. We spent time on the deck grilling out and eating dinner, we enjoyed the hammock and the corn hole toss, the kitchen was well stocked, and the accommodations were great.
If the opportunity presented itself to come back to San Juan Island, we would certainly stay at the property again.

We loved the location of this property as it was a short walk through the woods to Roche Harbor. But the property is close to neighbors and voices do seem to carry, so one does have to be mindful of making too much noise out on the deck in the evening. The kitchen is well-stocked, so it made cooking very enjoyable. We saw several deer around the house and it was fun to listen to the symphony of bird sounds while swinging in the hammock. The extra bedrooms were a bit small, but otherwise, it was super comfortable and a lovely getaway!

Very comfortable house with a lovely deck. Really enjoyed the location- very close to Roche Harbor and easy drive to Friday Harbor. Quiet wooded neighborhood but water view and well away from the hubbub of the harbors. The island is Beautiful and we could have easily filled many more days. (We only had two).
Susan was helpful and accommodating. We really appreciated her suggestions and advice.

Had a wonderful time over Memorial Day weekend, despite the cold and rainy weather.
The beds were super comfortable. We did not want for anything. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked, which was super helpful since we cooked all our meals at the house.
Great attention to detail with the ammenities in the bedrooms and bathrooms.
Even had two bald eagles hang out in the trees surrounding the deck for a bit.

We had a great time visiting Friday/Roche Harbor. The house was super clean and in a great location. Our kids loved playing games and seeing deer around the property. We will definitely come back again. Thanks for everything!

We have visited SJI many times over the years but never as comfortably as this trip staying in Susan's property near Roche Harbor. It is spacious, up to date and the cleanest by far. From the bathrooms to the kitchen, it was very well supplied with high quality items. We were so comfortable and appreciative of the thoughtfulness of the hosts. Thank you!

We arrived on Christmas Day and the house was nicely decorated. Not too much but still very festive. We enjoyed a little quiet time on the island and this was our second stay at this property and we thought the first visit was great, this was even better. There had been some updates to the dining room and the Adirondack chairs on the deck gave perfect seating for looking out at Spiden Island and the beautiful weather.

The only thing we had an issue with was the single faucet handle on the master bedroom tub. This rental was very dog friendly and we were so very happy to be able to bring him with us.

This property was immaculate, and well laid-out. The location was excellent, very close to Roche Harbor. The picture window showing the nearby inlet was very nice. The internet was fast, which sometimes isn't the case on San Juan Island. Overall the property was excellent!

This was one of the most well-stocked vrbo houses that we have ever stayed at. We appreciate that since we did all of our own cooking. The gated hand railing around the large deck was perfect for the two dogs, and it even had two dog bowls. The adults appreciated the indoor coffee bar, and the kids loved the hammock! The house had a perfect layout for 2 couples and 2 children. Communication was excellent, and you could not get a quieter, safer location. We would recommend staying here.

Location is wonderful! Nothing is far away. So peaceful! Saw a fox and several deer while sitting on the deck. House was a perfect getaway with great beds and the kitchen had anything you would need (or forgot which is usually our case).

My girlfriends get together every year and explore a new piece of the Pacific Northwest. This was our first group trip to the San Juan islands and Susan’s home didn’t disappoint! The kitchen is well stocked so we could cook big meals to enjoy together. I appreciated all the little touches - like the ziplocks, coffee bar, nice shampoo/conditioner/ soaps etc.
We enjoyed sitting together on the porch and soaking up the sunshine too. We played board games from the home and appreciated the selection of puzzles.
This home is just as the photos show & has many touches the photos don’t capture. We’d definitely stay here again in the future and would recommend for someone who wants to be close to Roche Harbor or explore the island.

Such a comfortable and well appointed home! We had our adult children and partners and it was perfect! The house had everything you need and we loved the cookies at check-in and even a doggie treat for our daughter’s dog ! The location was great and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall it was a great stay. The home is well maintained and set up for the ease of guests. They included a high chair and pack-and-play. A nice large kitchen with an open concept. We came to SJI to visit family and unfortunately, there is a no-guest policy. Had I known this before reserving I would have made different arrangements. The news of the policy came after I was notified that a Ring camera had been installed. The listing says accommodates 7 people, I included my sister in the reservation (only 7 people were at the house) and I was still charged extra for her to spend the night. The lack of transparency was of putting. I didn't feel that we were trusted as guests. Perhaps prior guests' actions warranted her feelings. However, it is unfair to burden new guests with suspicions based on others' actions.

I was looking for a place that was close enough to all the great locations on San Juan Island, and to my family in Friday Harbor, for my nephew’s graduation. We also wanted a place that would feel like vacation for us, yet home enough to allow us to host our extended family for dinners - and this place had it all. VERY well stocked, and the images online are completely accurate. The owners were reponsive throughout. Highly recommended!!!
